Go check out their new commissions over at https://ko-fi.com/yosthi_scribbles/commissions#buyCommissionModal for cheap, fast, and high-quality art in any fandom, including OCs!
Hello!! So, I have a Kofi page for those who do not know!
Since I offer writing commissions (samples of my work can be viewed on my Ao3 account and my tumblr, though they are mainly within the Voltron fandom and I have a far wider array of expertise including ATLA, Naruto, Noragami, Descendants, etc.), I wanted to expand on the process! Please message me using Ko‑fi or tumblr, specify the fandom, characters (if specific ones are desired) and describe the scene and word count preferred.
Less than 1,000 words: 1 Coffee.
1,000-3,000 words: 2 Coffees.
3,000-5,000 words: 3 Coffees.
5,000-7,000 Words: 4 Coffees.
If you would like a larger commission, it is 1 additional coffee for every 2,000 words, and it might take longer, but there is no upper limit! Thanks, have a nice day!
I was in line at Aldi and this girl with two toddlers in front of me had her card declined and she looked so fucking sad and said “let me call my husband real quick” and it was only 18 dollars, so I just paid for it, and she was very sweet and then as she walked off, the lady behind me said `”You know that was probably a scam, right?” and like, even if it was, like what a sad fucking scam, right? 18 dollars at the Aldi. If you’re “scamming” me for some Tyson chicken and apple juice and cauliflower, then just take my fucking money.
This happened to me, too. A woman had used WIC for the majority of her stuff (which I say from personal experience is such a long and embarrassing process) and to buy the remainder of her groceries, which included diapers and wipes, she used a card, and it got declined. I bought the other $30 of her groceries because hey, I’ve been there, and now I’m not. She was extremely emotional and began to cry and even hugged me. My mom called me on the drive home and could tell I had been crying myself, asked what was wrong, and when I told her what happened, she berated me for being “duped.” I couldn’t believe she could be so disappointed in one of her children for doing something- nice? Is that the hill you want to die on? Getting mad about people needing groceries?
I once paid for a woman’s bill at the vet…it wasn’t a big one, but she was trying to pay for some medication for her dog, and her card was declined. And her lip started trembling, and she says “I don’t get paid until Tuesday, would he be ok until then?”
So I just told them to add the $20 something onto my bill, and I thought she was going to break down crying right there.
And I don’t care if it was a scam or not. Just do nice things for people sometimes.
So this has happened to me but from the other side. Several years ago when my oldest was around three or so, I had my debit card decline at Walmart. It wasn’t a scam or a mistake, I was genuinely broke. Out of money. I checked my bank and discovered I had something like 7 dollars left to my name and a hungry kid and nothing to eat at home. So I sat there trying to come up with the best way to stretch that tiny amount of money to feed my kid. Not even to feed me. I can live on popcorn or something if I have to but my kid was three and he had to eat. So there I am trying really hard not to cry while I slowly take things out of my basket to get it down to under 7 bucks, when a lady tapped me on the shoulder. I looked up and she smiled at me and started putting the things back in my cart. I opened my mouth to tell her that I didn’t have the money for them but she stopped me right away and said “Don’t worry about it. It’s gonna be fine.” Then she handed the cashier her credit card and said “Ring up all of it.” My kid got to eat because of her. I got to eat because of her. I had laundry soap and deodorant because of her. She could’ve just ignored me silently struggling in that line. She could’ve decided I was a scam and gone home feeling good about avoiding being duped. But instead she chose to help me and she saved us. So maybe the person struggling in front of you is trying to put one over on you or maybe they are just sad and broke and trying to figure out what to do. You get to decide which you want to believe and what you want to do. But I’ll tell y’all, no one has ever been more beautiful to me than that lady in that line who saved me and my baby. Be like her. Be beautiful.
One time, my dad and I were living the grocery store and there was a guy outside asking for money to buy some stuff to take home for his kids. It was around Christmas time. My dad asked him if he could give him groceries instead of money, and the guy immediately said yes, so my dad gave him one of everything we bought (meat, rice, some chocolates, milk, oil). At that time, my dad hadn’t gotten his paycheck because the company he worked for was going through a tough time, but he didn’t care, he saw an opportunity to help someone and he did.
Another time, my dad gave 50 bucks to a guy who said he needed to buy medicine for his kids. I told my dad he was probably going to spend the money on alcohol or something, but my dad said that “whether he was lying or not says something about HIS character, but hearing someone in need and choosing not to help when I have the means to says something about mine”.
“whether he was lying or not says something about HIS character, but hearing someone in need and choosing not to help when I have the means to says something about mine”

April Colors Day 11/30 - Wrong Colours
I went around and around with this one, because I truly didn’t know what to do for “wrong colours” because to me, I found, most things that I want to draw, can be any color. Eventually, a human occured to me as something that distinctly couldn’t be a n y color. So I drew this. I can’t say I love it, but I’m enjoying its existence.

April Colors Day 10/30 - Aposematism
I was soooo busy yesterday so this was my stab at drawing for april colors yesterday… I tried.
I was tired.
Ended up making a second one this morning before posting either, becuase I wanted at least a bit of redemption. Which do you think is better? Can you guess which was first? :P

The April Colors website provided this definition : “ Grisaille refers to the technique of building up values using only grays, and then doing washes of color over it to define hues and tones. “
Of coarse I drew another dragon; built up the value in gray scale, and then started overlaying some colors. I didn’t want to completely hide the gray scale either. Over all this was a lot of fun.

Day 6/30 - Combine your favourite animals...
...oookay. My favourite animals are (in this order) Pygmy goats, tigers, deer.
SO we got this monstrocity.
Parrots are a close 4th but lets not imagine what would happen if that got added into this menace.

Day 5/30 - a “pop” of color;
I was originally going to do something entirely different for this (and probably closer to the prompt) but I had this sketch from a few days ago and couldn’t resist finishing it in this little doodle painting with the pop of color being his tears of coarse.

A little story thingy from a non-writer bellow the cut because I just had to write something for him.
“You what!?” The dragonling screeched as he landed on the rock perch he once felt so comfortable coming to every morning.
“killed him” The far larger dragon growled from above. “Kinjoro- he was a mut.”
“He was MY BOYFRIEND” Kinj was barely able to keep his voice from betraying the fire building up in his chest. He was only barely still a teen dragon, and older than most of the kids in the camp.
“Kinjoro, you know nothing of love; he was a mut, and you, are a male; you must find yourself a female mate of your own kind. The redbloods will not be diluting their bloodline for your petty rebelious nature.”
Kinj stared at Gil-nachtht in sheer confusion. How could he dilute the bloodline if they where both male. Did Gil-nachtht not know how this worked? More so, Kinj didn’t want a mate. He wanted Ourlein and he wanted to raise the little mut they’d found tog- Martrix and Kilvai!
“What of Martrix and Kilvai!?” Kinj shouted at the Gil-nachtht. “You wouldn’t hurt two yearlings! Even you wouldn’t-”
“Wouldn’t what? Kill two muts I found nesting with another mut? Sure I would. They’re as much dragons as the lemur-badgers down by the river and are worth less than you back fifth talon.”
Kinj stared at Gil-nachtht motionless, trying desperately to grasp that they where gone. That his love. His family. His kids. His world. His everything.
Gone.
Because This Dragon.
This fire breathing husk of a dragon thinks He gets to decide what Kinjoro gets in life.
“You- you took everything from me.” Kinj said, trying once more to be sure his voice did not betray the first bursting into his chest and racing up his throat.
He may be the strongest kid in the camp, but he was about to commit to his death, and he knew what his last words would be.
As tears streamed down his face, as fire built in his chest, as everything slowed to a stop all at once, Gil-nachtht began to speak, but never got the chance to finish.
with fire escaping from the corners of his mouth, Kinjoro’s smooth voice as quiet as it was seemed to echo through all of Galruv
“I love them.”
And with a roar of all the agony one feels in the moment after they realize they have nothing to live for Kinj released all the flames his small-not fully grown body could hold and enveloped Gil-nachtht.
By the time Kinj recovered his breath he had already been encased in the blue flame of a Gil blessed dragon; but he knew if only in his heart, that Gil-nachtht was burnt too;
Kinjoro died; loving his boyfriend. Loving their children. And hating Gil-nachtht.
This was written at 11pm; I am a visual artist not a writer. I am sorry.
