@jaskierist This is the poem I messaged about. I hope it's not too bad!
and dance and we are free
To live as we please without
Judgement. When we kiss the
Stars sing out and we are happy.
But this is a dream. You are
I have never had you like
She has you, I have stumbled
through life with you but
You made that clear, but tell me one last thing?
How does one live, when the one
you want is happy with another?
How do I manage to smile when
I remember what we used to do
together, when I'm no longer next to
Tell me love, are you happy
When you wake in the morning and
I hope i've left a wound,
I hope you feel half as sorrowful
As my heart does when you pass on the street
And you don’t turn around to look.
And I know it's not for me that,
Those lips curve for now,
Sure. I guess she’s pretty and smart
and everything you'd want but
Does she tend your wounds as carefully
When you wake up from those nightmares
You ‘don’t talk about’, but you did
Can she sing you to sleep with
A lullaby, so gently the music caresses your face as
Sweetly as the moonlight has done
I beg the night to tell me
What I did wrong, how can I redeem
Myself? What can I do to earn your forgiveness?
They say nothing, as they are apt to do.
She has taken your heart,
She is playing what should be my part.
I’m on the move now, back to the coast,
The sea sings as I arrive back to a Siren’s home.
And when you try to find me,
As I suppose you may want to do,
You will find that I have vanished.
I will forever do to you.
