The original pride flag and the sewing machine it was sewn on
It's nuts how common it is to not allow children to be angry, even (especially) in households where adults are angry all the time. As a child I knew my own anger was unacceptable--not just expressing it outwardly but feeling it at all. So now as an adult my immediate reaction to my own anger is often to feel guilt instead of like. Noticing when someone is being rude or unfair or my boundaries are being violated or whatever. fucked up.
didnt wanna be the one to tell you this stranger, but we oppress white people 'round these parts. best pack your ao3 dufflebag 'fore it gets dark.

Can everyone who makes video content do a Deaf bitch a favor? Watch your shit with the captions on and the sound off, and then do another round of editing to fix things including but not limited to:
Captions cover the spot on the screen you put the information I need
The dialogue is captioned but not the song you have playing that the dialogue is responding to
You only captioned the person on the screen, not the person off screen who is also talking
No captioning of critical sound effects (alarms, bells, dogs barking, etc)
Speakers are not labelled at moments where it is not clear on the screen who is talking.
Captions cover the spot on the screen that you put the information I need!
Other d/Deaf people welcome to add.
This post brought to you by the fifth video tutorial I could not follow because the bad, auto-generated captions covered what I was trying to watch today.

they're selling anti-ai slogans on sweatshop-produced t-shirts. i don't need to write the poem for you to get it do i
as someone (an adult) who isn’t into it, the milf/dilf thing is not about ageplaying or roleplaying as their child. The milf/dilf label is just the fact that they’re middle-aged. They just like middle-aged people. Like they like people who are at the age where they could be worn out suburban parents. It’s nothing to do with wanting to boink your parents, that’s an entirely different thing
Also people who have kids and have been through divorce should be able to date again, that shouldn’t be a taboo thing to talk about
i didn't say roleplaying as *their* child is what makes it ageplay (though??? yes that does happen and it's not rare in any way, again i'll refer you to a huge portion of the media -not just mainstream porn, it's also in plenty of popular books, movies, etc- straight people enjoy). you yourself said "the milf/dilf label is just the fact that they’re middle-aged". for someone who is into m/dilfs, their age is half the fun, this is quite evidently a form of ageplay itself, even if you don't age regress when having sex with one. also, who is making it taboo???? i'm perfectly fine with people fucking someone who has children or is divorced (or married lmao give it a rest pollyanna). i don't give a shit if a 20yo fucks a 75yo for that matter, i'm just calling a spade a spade, and pointing out how much you people love saying if a trans woman likes one too it must be to bury bodies with it
the fact that i've received several anons like this, defending the honor of The General Straight Public who make 78% of their sexuality about age and family relations but are poor little meow meows who could never mean it in an incest/ageplay way just further proves my original point
almost every anon i've gotten since i posted about how trans women get chased off this site for liking things that are extremely popular among everyone else has been some iteration of "but it's not the same because, you see, I'm Normal". ironically, this generates in me a reaction of pure disgust that no kink could ever do. fix your hears or -preferably- die.
the outcries about shinigami eyes being used to keep an eye out for transmisogynists and transphobes in general and how this rots your brain [sic] or something are really funny considering crowdsourcing (which btw is not synonymous with "not making your own judgement ever") is one of the things the internet excels at. once again this just falls into the category of "you just don't like it when it's trans women doing it".
like, this extension is basically a version of "does the dog die" (beloved by most people on this site!) but for transmisogyny. there's nothing keeping you from interacting with red marked users or looking for the reasons they're marked red to see whether you agree (i often do this myself even though there's never any false flags, i just like to know what particular brand of transphobe i'm dealing with). you're just mad trans women are trying to keep each other safe from you lol
>post about how wrong it is to harass trans women over their sexuality, but doubly so when you all don't give a shit when it's cis-straights who have "problematic kinks" (you don't even consider them "kinks" then)
>receive a bunch of anon hate
>answer about 1 in 5 messages, mostly just when there's something else to add
>get a bunch more anon hate messages about how you "spend all your time defending weird kinks" [←read:opposing the transmisogyny on this site]
thank god i was never under any illusion that this place is full of anything but little bullies waiting for their chance
They need to make tiny little shorts that fit properly if you have a dick
I love bulge as much as the next woman and no amount of it stopped me from wearing shorts with a 5cm inseam but now that I no longer have a dick shorts I've owned for years are suddenly much more comfortable than I thought possible and this is a travesty
transwomen women
translation: we will not accept trans women as "real women" until they stop calling us out for our transmisogyny, which we are doing right now
if you make "i suggest x" joke but you're a bitch to the woman who popularized the joke in the first place, i hate you and you're getting blocked
look i understand your frustration with "cis women boundaries". but we can't just say "other people don't get to have boundaries if it makes it harder for me to be safe" because that is a one-way ticket to authoritarianism. What we can do is make safe spaces for trans women, and choose on a case-by-case basis if they include cis women or not. Keep in mind too, not every trans woman feels safe sharing a space with cis women... and they deserve safe spaces too.
I daresay most of us don't feel safe sharing spaces with cis women, lol. systemic discrimination against marginalized women is not "boundaries" it's discrimination. if you're uncomfortable with a group of marginalized women, that's called bigotry, and it's never at any time in history been a good justification for discrimination. and no we are not going to do "separate but equal" get serious
I really think the only reason any version of separate but equal actually works for cis women is because white, cisgender women are like the only marginalized group that the white supremacist patriarchy actually considers a core part of its fabric
the rest of us are treated as disposable trash, and I greatly doubt that any facilities the patriarchy could be strong-armed into creating just for us would be meaningfully "equal" in any way. and all this just cause you don't wanna pee within 20 feet of us at walmart
Consent is SPECIFIC - we use the language of consent for interactions between individual people at a specific time and place. It is monstrous and unfair to use it at a preemptive social level, because doing so is manipulative - and therefore nonconsentual. This language PRESUMES THE GUILT of trans women (for existing while scary) and forces us to defend our right to exist and share space with cis women against a PRESUMED violation of their "boundaries". We're guilty until proven innocent! And even then, we're still guilty. Cis women and their fears kill us, regularly. That should make you uncomfortable if you are cis. It should make you more uncomfortable than seeing us exist next to you. If you have a conscience.
Saw some reposted nonconsent art of a transfemme character and thought I'd go and see if I could find the artist on r34 through tags because it was kinda hot and I wanted to compliment them, and I've had luck finding porn artists that way in the past. (the classic green r34, I think it's .xxx now?)
After approximately ten minutes of trying to find a tag that fits, I find out that there's no tag to look up transfeminine victims but *4* separate tags for transmasculine victims. I've always been aware that tme people don't think we're capable of being victims but it's never felt so blatant...
Sorry if this is outside the scope of what you intended for the transfemme voices project, I understand if it doesn't end up getting posted
yes!!!! the idea that we are perpetrators and never victims/survivors is heavily reflected in the ways we are sexualized and fetishized. they are frankly two sides of the same coin, and I think we shy away from discussing that because we rightly tend to be very sex positive. but the ways we are sexualized by transmisogynistic stereotypes are inextricable from the ways they oppress us. the stereotypes are designed to be psychosexually powerful, and we see that reflected in the sexual roles both real and fictional trans women are pigeonholed into filling
porn is art, and thus I don't think it's beyond being examined through the lenses and standards of art. the transmisogynistic stereotypes that pervade the collective consciousness and the way trans women are depicted in porn are not two separate phenomena in isolated cultural silos. they are in conversation with one another! and I think it's worth considering (at the risk of sounding silly) that the way we make porn could add a transfeminist voice to this conversation
To the anon:
Part of the problem is sites like that actively removed any trans woman tags and lumped everything into “futa” because people were “abusing the tag”
It’s intentional. Blatantly so.
When you send me anonymous asks talking about causing me bodily harm or doing everything you can to exclude me from community for the rest of my life, you are proving everything I'm saying about the harassment I'm facing
When I turn off anonymous asks and then you make an account just to send me an ask telling me I'm "trying to make myself out to be the victim", you are still proving everything I've been saying about the harassment
Deeply and truly, get a fucking life
and to the bystanders to this, please finally fucking realise that these people are acting like freaks towards me and treat me like a human being instead
