So, I got diagnosed with Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). You can read more about that here in this post of mine, but for those who don’t wanna, it’s basically a condition where I have obstructed breathing during my sleep. The test said that I stop breathing upwards of five times an hour.

The usual remedy for this is a device called a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) machine, which uses air pressure generated by a machine, delivered through a tube into a mask that fits over the nose or mouth (as shown). These machines have been lifesavers (literally!) for people with OSA, and though my case isn’t as severe as some others I’ve heard about, it’s still necessary. OSA affects my quality of sleep at night, which leaves me feeling exhausted throughout the day regardless of how long I sleep, which affects my mood (and, hello, that’s already made worse by my Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and chronic migraines), my cognitive abilities (again, made worse already by medications I have to take for aforementioned disorders), and overall makes life more miserable for me.

To get to the point, I’m in need of funds in order to afford the CPAP machine that I so badly need. They cost anywhere between $1,000 and $4,000 without insurance, but with my insurance it’s guesstimated that it’ll end up costing roughly between $250 and $300. Note that this is a guess, we haven’t gotten anything from my insurance saying how much it’ll cost, and we won’t know how much it costs until they send us a bill… which sucks, but what can you do?

Anyway! I’m keeping open my art commissions to try and earn that money.

I’m currently taking 20% off my art commissions,

and I’m also going to be offering writing commissions. No set price as it’ll depend on the complexity of the piece, but just message me on Tumblr or through e-mail at [email protected] to hash out the details.

Updated my commission form so that it has my new prices in mind (and the pretty new sheet I made on the second page)!

Okay, so, I really need to get my son into preschool. Not only for his benefit, but also for mine. My husband says that we’re gonna be okay financially to support it, but still, I want to try and help out as much as I can (that and I never know if he really means it when he says that…as “gonna be okay’ could mean “gonna be okay” or it could mean “were gonna be tight for a long while”).

I haven’t gotten very many commissions lately, so I wanna know what I can do to make that better! If you have any feedback for me, then please, let me hear it! If you can reblog this, then that’s a wonderful help. If you can commission me, then that’s even better!

For those of you who enjoyed today’s stream and wish to do what I did, here’s the challenge I made for myself.

I made this massive compilation of several 30 day and color pallette challenges that I ran across to make 2 lists of 100. Yeesh. You may recognize a couple of areas even! (like the Witch 30 day challenge or the 30 day burrito challenge)

Take 2 10 sided dice and roll them twice (one dice for the ten’s place and one for the one’s place). Roll them twice. The first number will be the theme/ thing to draw, the second one the palette you need try stick to. Then draw the result. Happy arting!
