i know people say evermore is the sadder of folkmore albums but for me it's so optimistic. this pain wouldn't be for evermore. there'll be happiness after you. but you'll find the real thing instead. yes, I'm doing better. I wasn't letting up until the day he died. and if you're ever tired of being known for who you know, you know, you'll always know me. now I'm covered in you. with your boots beneath my bed forever is the sweetest con. long story short, I survived. you're alive, you're alive in my head. I know better but I still feel you all around. sometimes, walkin' out is the one thing that will find you the right thing. like yes it's sad but it's also optimistic about future. hopeful! i'm sad now but i see light in the future. the sadness won't be forever!!!!!!
Be yourself so ppl looking for u can find u
Oh ok so it turns out ive been borrowing grief from the future ! it turns out ive been preparing to lose the things i love rather than basking in the light of them while they last. Maybe i should nt do that
Don't become so afraid of being annoying that you don't allow yourself to be anything at all.
we need to slow down a little I'm so serious. all these quick short videos on tiktok, ig reels, and youtube, artists releasing quick little songs for the trend, tv shows releasing episodes at once, people using chat gpt and google ai overview because they get answers quickly but no validation done for the source, we need to sloww downn i really do not think our brains should be running this fast
gently pressing your head against your lover’s back while they cut vegetables, your lover sitting on the kitchen counter while you talk about your day at work and wait for the water to boil, giving them little pecks while they stir the vegetables, eating the food together, washing the dishes together… you know what i mean
was playing "fetch" with the ocean today by tossing stones into it and watching them wash back up with the tide a few meters away, and it got me thinking about grief and the things we carry with us even after we lose them
work in progress
In my teenage years I really avoided taking pictures and I also didn't have a phone to take them, also I always thought I didn't look very good in those most of the time, when I became an adult at 18 years old my brother changed his phone so I get to keep his old one so I would take a thousand of pictures with a cute animal filter or something like that on. I would take a lot of pics of my pets as well and this phone was like an archive of my early adult life (which was me spending the whole day on my bedroom because I was too depressed btw) and I lost everything that's so fucking sad for real because the phone broke. Then I got my sister's old phone and took a great ton of pics and then I changed my phone for my first new phone and it was fine because I get to keep the ssd with my pics but my sister lost it forever so I lost everything again omg. But now I take a o lot of pictures still and I'm always trying to find the perfect film camera filter because I'm obsessed with how these film cameras makes pictures look, but I have no money to buy a film camera because they're too fucking expensive.
But what I was trying to say with this post is that I really enjoy taking pictures.
Some photos I took today with film filters (that i paid literal money for lmaooo)

me in my head at the supermarket: nobody is ever going to fucking love me. omg 25% off
If you're lamenting the fact that you used to be able to shoot through a 500-page novel in like a day when you were in middle school and now you can't, it's worth bearing in mind that a big part of that is because when you were in middle school, your reading comprehension sucked. Yes, mental health and the stresses of adult life can definitely be factors, but it's also the case that reading is typically more effortful as an adult because you've learned to Ponder The Implications. The material isn't just skimming over the surface of your brain anymore, and some of the spoons you used to spend on maximising your daily page count are now spent on actually thinking about what you're reading!
Reading as a kid: "I can tell that this is supposed to be an emotionally moving ending, but I genuinely cannot remember who two-thirds of these characters are."
Reading as an adult: *reads a paragraph* *pauses* *reads the same paragraph again* *flips back and re-reads the preceding page to make sure you didn't misunderstand something* *stares into space for ten minutes as the Implications sink in*
