“Ah–” Mina laughs and looks up when someone suddenly calls out Youkyung’s name. She hadn’t realized that others were aware of the video call, but she has no doubt that it’s probably Jaehyun and his big mouth informing them all, if not maybe Hyejeong who she had told about wanting to do this earlier. “Ah, you see, they miss you–Minhyuk-oppa wants to say hello!” Once again, she turns the phone away from her so she can point it towards where the crowd of FNC artists and staff members are gathered, just a few meters away from her.
“Youkyungie says hello back!” She yells as she turns the camera back towards her, her face alight with a big grin. “Just assume that sound of everyone talking over each other is them all saying hello back,” she says, laughing. “Oh, no, no-sorry!” She laughs even more, not having intended to scare her friend. She was just genuinely curious since she hadn’t been sure if Youkyung was at home studying our outside at a library or at some cafe, maybe. She isn’t all too familiar with the other’s study habits, after all, that isn’t a part of their lives that intersect at all. “Good luck with your finals though–I’m sure you’ll do well!” She holds the camera out so her friend can get a wide view of her as she pumps a closed fist in a ‘fighting!’ gesture.
“Hey, I’m not interrupting your studying too much, right?” She frowns, suddenly realising that her friend might be needing her precious time back now.
It’s hard to not react to the nostalgic feel; Youkyung at one point even finds herself raising her hand to rub underneath her eyes just in case any sort of single droplet would appear. Luckily her eyes are still dry, as her smile remains wide and her brown orbs are intently gazing when she catches sight of the group at hand. It had been a while since she had seen several of her label mates; Mina and Hyejeong usually being the ones she saw more frequent. But time had passed for a while now, and somehow it was sad at how distant she felt because of busy schedules.
“I think they heard!” She says with a hopeful tone, being a bit louder without even quite noticing the volume her voice was at for it being such a late time of the day. She sees a few hand waves from the background, but it makes it a bit difficult to actually put a face to the pixelated blur that’s created.
With finals so close, she knows she’s going to be able to pull through it. Sure a late night of procrastination will prevent her possibly from getting the highest grade, but she was confident enough to know she will pass even with an above average score. “Thanks! I won’t let you down. I have a few friends that I have planned a night with after finals, so that should be fun.” While it does appear to sound enjoyable, youkyung remembers that the most fun she’s ever had though was being on stage beside the others. Taking a deep breath, she’s finally able to crack another smile mainly because how ecstatic the other female is being. “No worries! I was going to call it a night soon anyway! But I can keep speaking to you!”
