Obsession 2026
I went to see Obsession yesterday and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since. For some reason when I left I felt nauseous like the film had a physical impact on me. Maybe it was to do with the gore and violence at the end of the film or maybe it was stomach turning guilt for Nikki.
I keep wondering what she was thinking while being incapsulated in her own body while someone (or something more like) took over her and how many emotions she probably went through. I think the way some people feel bad for Bear is crazy his selfishness and insecurities got in the way of Nikki and her life.
He didn't try to escape the relationship he just wanted her to be "less crazy". He had no remorse for thinking how this could effect her and you can see this when he and Ian is talking in the car returning home from work and Ian states that people have been saying Bear is taking advantage of her while she's in a vulnerable point in her life and I believe he is completely right.
I think the film was amazing and I thoroughly enjoyed it the whole way through (the hansel and Gretel incest story is definitely a new one too).
Would you like to see an Obsession 2?
