How do people allow their daughters to get into ballet, or figure skating? The eating disorder boot camp? Hell no, no daughter of mine will have her waist measured by some wretched russian lady. She WILL be going into a sport that requires a STRONG and HEALTHY build.
pop health science is so annoying bc it'll be like "did you know? eating strawberries will give you mega cancer" and you're like pfft whatever begone influencer. but sometimes then you'll see a reasonably credible article like "Study Shows Possible Link Between Strawberries and Mega Cancer" and you're not usually the type to follow that kind of thing religiously but idk maybe you should consider not eating strawberries? but then there's another article saying "Strawberry/Mega Cancer Study Debunked" and it turns out the original study had a sample size of 3 and was funded by Big Blueberry, and strawberries may have a small connection to mega cancer but only if you are genetically predisposed to mega cancer and eat 50 strawberries every day. so you return to your strawberry eating life. but whenever you eat strawberries in public someone tells you about the mega cancer.
Also, even if strawberries did cause Mega Cancer, we would still eat them, right? I'm tired of this wellness hysteria that's taking over our culture. Fuck you, I will go clubbing and consume multiple poisons that are 100% affecting my health long term but I still want to have some damn fun, otherwise, what's the point of living a long life if it's boring? You know what's even more detrimental to one's health than certain foods that might have a link to cancer? Stress and poor mental health. In fact, stress has such a large effect on one's lifespan that scientists for a while thought that a glass of wine per day was good for you. It's not, but it's nice and calms your nerves after a long day at work, so much so that the positive effects of reduced stress outweigh the negative effects of daily alcohol consumption. The best thing you can do for your body is make sure you are mentally well, happy and relaxed as often as possible. Health freaks don't live much longer than regular people, but they do live less.
Misandry is the only reasonable type of prejudice because it can save your life. Men are actually far more likely to kill you, and they are responsible for like, all crime. It's just true. I don't shake hands with men because they are statistically more likely to not wash their hands and spread dangerous pathogens. I approve of banning them from certain spaces and aspects of society because they do pose a real safety threat. And they're worse at their jobs. Always ask for a female doctor, lawyer, electrician, whatever.

I hate living in a monarchy. Every day I'm forced to have news and gossip about this fuckass family of parasites and leeches pushed down my throat and watch them literally live like royalty while I can't afford groceries. I heard from someone on the internet who claims to work in the fashion industry that brands sometimes think a certain type of product is the most popular because they refuse to sell any alternatives, because they're just so sure this is it, and so they never realize they're selling garbage. Hence why often times, all the stores sell multiple different iterations of the same type of ugly shirt that nobody likes, yet they're never taken off the shelf and replaced with something more fashionable, because the stores have nothing to compare to, that is the only type of shirt they sell. I feel like this is the case in many other industries as well.

My worst fear is that my bf turns out to be misogynistic but just not to me. I want to shapeshift into a fly to watch how he acts around other women when I'm not around. I genuinely wouldn't be able to recover if I found out he had been sexist behind my back. Breaking up wouldn't be enough I would simply have to kill myself for making such a stupid mistake.
One of the core things capitalism is interested in is making any labor performed invisible.
Capitalism does not want you to think about the people who designed your furniture. It does not want you to think about the people who sewed your clothes. It does not want you to think about the people who plant and harvest the food you are eating, or the people who work to keep your infrastructure running. Capitalism has a vested interest in you never thinking about the people taking away your trash, or the people who work in the warehouses from where you order. It has a vested interest even in you ignoring the work of the many invisible hands who might work on your entertainment - the caterers, set builders, gaffers, and so on.
Because as long as you are ignorant of the labor put into the things you consume, you will be fine with those laborers being treated like shit.
That is why you need to keep thinking of that labor. Look at the things in your room and keep the people who worked for it in mind. Look at your clothes, your furniture, your gadgets. Think of the sewers, the warehouse workers, the miners, the technicians. Think of the people capitalism wants you to forget.
As someone who worked in a warehouse. Fuck you for buying the 3 in one deal on some influencer brand makeup. I had to bend all the way down to reach every one of those fuckass packages because the warehouse manager doesn't gaf about my lower back. Everyone complained about that damn lower shelf. Had pain for weeks during that job.
I actually can't believe this is real. I thought my laptop had been slowing down recently which made me very sad because I paid good money for it, and for what? Just for it to struggle with multiple browser tabs, at less than 1 years of age?? But then I switch to Linux. My computer barely even uses the fan, no matter what tomfoolery I'm up to. It turns out that windows runs so many trackers, ads, bloatware and whatnot in the background that a good 30-40% of my CPU went to just running the OS. And apparently that is not normal, it's only windows that does this. Like fuck, forget buying new hardware, just switch to Linux for a free, massive performance boost. This is actually insane.

I also tried linux on an old crappy laptop at first, it did boost its performance as well, went from a completely useless brick to like, a below-average, regular laptop.
Hate it when I tell someone about my adhd symptoms and they think I'm pathologizing something that's just normal. Like no, random lady at the family gathering, when I'm hyperfocusing, that doesn't just mean "I like to really get into my hobbies sometimes because it's fun". It means I randomly start focusing 100% of my attention on one single task for literally up to 8 hours or more, and I mean 8 full hours. No drinking. No eating. No toilet breaks. I don't check my phone or talk to anyone for 8 hours. I just do one single thing. For 8 hours straight, no interruptions. Happily. No I don't get tired. It's fucking awesome.
It's like this with so many things. Everyone thinks they have experienced the same things as people who claim to have adhd. And sure, maybe, but to what extent? Everyone has trouble focusing sometimes, but do you have trouble every single day, even when you truly want to keep focus, like getting lost in conversations with your own friends because you involuntarily zone out all the time and it's ruining your communication with friends and family? Everyone is forgetful sometimes, but do you consistently forget the exact same things every single day for your entire life so far, to the point it is seriously causing problems for you? Everyone can be too distracted by life to take proper care of themselves, but have you lost weight and struggled with malnutrition all your life because you simply tend to forget to feed yourself? Some things are normal, to an extent.

It's crazy that humanity is divided into groups that naturally get tired at different times and then one of the groups just won and now they get to decide when everyone else should get up and it's fucking unbearable for us.
