A long long time ago, as all stories tend to go, there was once a sea; bathed in darkness that cannot be seen as far as the human eye can see.
[Our scene begins with a blank empty scene. Sounds of waves crashed into each other, yet no wave was nowhere to be seen.]
Suddenly, a heavenly light vanquishes the darkness, colors upon colors bleed across the waves, unveiling the constellations and stars in its place.
[Out of nowhere, a white light blasts across the screen. As it takes form, every color in the universe dances in the now visible waves. The sky and the earth depart, and like a pulse, a shadow of the constellations arrose amongst the roots of colors bathing the waters.]
Holding the dreams of the souly departed, the stars gained the ability to grants ones wish, and guide them to a better tomorrow.
[We see several humans gifting their wish to the sky, with the sky returning the wish back, humming as that gift was granted.]
One day, the stars above granted humanity of their gifts, not knowing of the consequences that ensued from their knowledge.
[One of the constellations, not in view, gifts a star symbol, signifying it to be magic.]
In the end, what began as a creative tool for the human imagination, ended in war, death, and extinction.
[The sun begins to fall, dawning a shade of pale red across several figures:
The Unicorn darkens and disapear. The constellations disapear as well. Leaving light highlights of the Fairies, Sirens, and Dragons in its place.]
The remaining stars from the conflict, erased all wisdom of what humanity used to conjure, leaving only the fractured tales for generations to come.
[The human that had rose its hands to the heavens with the star in its hand fades away, amonst everything else in the tapestry. All the color from this story then disapears to a soft blue color as it takes shape.]

The moon glistened on the marbled floor, bathing the hallway in a faint blue color. A young boy walked silently in the halls of his home, fidgeting with a wooden doll he made in his hand; carving circles and lines into the crevices of the wood carefully with a small, silver, blade.
Paintings of his parents stood high and tall along the walls as he passed, painted with a soft, humble smile that brought out their kind souls. With the boy, centered in the middle of the 2, with both of their hands resting gently on his shoulders.
He paused near one of the doorways that opened to the patio. After a few moments of debating with himself, he opened the door to the patio, and sat on the bench, -still carving the lines and circles into the doll-, that overlooked the whole kingdom below.
It was a clear night. No clouds as far as the eye can see was in sight, with the sounds of the sea dancing in your ears that you could very well drift away to sleep from its drumming, and the moon itself bathed the floral that surrounded the patio, glistening their petals in its dew drops. The fire of the lamps were enlightening the kingdom below, each of the lamplighters bringing forth the light within the darkness as the world slept underneath the stars.
After a few moments, the boy placed down his small blade on his side, finishing the inscriptions on the wooden doll. He sets the doll on the flat part of the fence before him, tapping it a few times.
The doll was soon quickly animated to life. Magic swirled within the ridges of its wood as it followed its master's guiding hands, its feet moving to and from in a rhythmic pattern. Its wood was tinted a white-blue color from the moon, looking like a ballerina with each step it took, majestically dancing in the moonlight, and with the magic swirling inside it, it seemed to be glowing dreamily like the moon.
The boy heaved a sigh and stopped moving his hand. The doll collapsed back onto the fence; the once lively doll returning to a state of unanimated sentience. The magic from its bark disappeared, leaving just a toy with no purpose in its place.
He looked at it for a bit momentarily in frustration, however that frustration wasn't aimed at the doll…
He looks down at his hands. After a few moments of silence he turned up to the sky.
Oh how beautiful they all are tonight...
The wind dances in his hair as he breathes in the distant sea air.
"I wonder..."

Notes
FINALLY OMG!!
AFTER 2 YEARS WE FINALLY HAVE A PROLOGUE LETS GOOOOOOO!!!!
NOWWwwww.....I'm actually going to somewhat yap about what the style of this AU is going to look like and be described.
Although I will explain color when it comes to the enviroments, characters, and creatures, its not going to be how WE precive it (Like the drawing will purposly be devoid of color).
To give you an idea, the story (before Alcor arrives) will be set in a storyboard like setting. Colors would shift depending on the mood I would want to convey. All the characters are going to be the same color as the background, BUT FEAR NOT!! For when Alcor arrives the world will enter a ray of color like shown at the beginging of this prologue!!
This post is not just me getting to talk more about a series I love, but also a post for Pride month!
Because, believe it or not, L. Frank Baums book series, the 1939 classic and other Oz media like Wicked have become a symbol for the LGBTQIA+ community. Let me explain you how!
If you're wondering about the post's title: That was a code actually lol. Gay men and other members of the LGBTQ community back then in the 1930's used the phrase "Are you a friend of Dorothy?" to secretly ask the other person if they were gay. This had to be done, as it was sadly not allowed to be gay and therefore it was hard to express one self. The goverment actually sent investigators once to find this mysterious "Dorothy" but they never found her because they didn't know it was a refrence to the movie lol.
But I can see why Dorothy was chosen as the symbol for freedom. She longed to find a place and people that excepted her, something that I'm sure everyone can relate to. I surely can and that is why the "Wizard of Oz" was always a fascinating media for me. It was so amazing to see Dorothy befriend such different people in a magic land full of whimsy and wonder where everyone lived, no matter how "strange" they were.
Dorothy herself in the books is also very kind and open to meet others and accepts them for who they are. In one of the later books ("The Road to Oz", she gets told that she has some "queer friends" (here meaning strange). Her reply is:
And honestly, we should all take an example from Dorothy here. Except others for who they are and as they are.
If you're wondering who says that to her, it's a sky fairy called Polychrome, Daughter of the Rainbow
She's a very care-free, free-spirited character, who's cheery and dances in the air around alot.
Btw: I too want as my title "Child of Rainbow" lmao. That's too iconic.
And one of the biggest (accidental) representations in the books is Tip/Ozma.
You see, in book two (The Marvellous Land of Oz) our MC is a boy named Tip who lives with a cruel witch named Mombi. But at the end of the book it's revealed that Tip never was a boy. He actually was a girl who got brought to Mombi and turned into a boy. Tip is actually the Princess of Oz, Ozma.
In the end, Tip gets tufned back into Ozma and his friends reassure him that they'll love her/him just the same. Bc they are still Tip, just different looking. Yes, Ozma was one of the earliest representations of the Transgender community.
Also some cool facts about Wicked:
-In the book, Elphaba is asexual. As a child her male parts were removed.
-G(a)linda and Elphaba share a kiss at the Defying Gravity moment in the book and have shared a bed on the way to Emerald City.
-Ariana Grande, who played Glinda in the 2024/2025 Wicked movies said that she believes Glinda is "in the closet".
And that was my post for the day. I hope you could learn something new today or atleast enjoy me telling it to you lol. Anyway, happy Pride to all! Just know that anyone and everyone is welcome here!!
And now before I go, just one question: Are you a Friend of Dorothy? I know I am!✨️
moreso for fun and also so I can talk about them a little (mainly on the deceased characters)
(idk their outfits other than their facial features)
Elenor and Enzo are Magnus parents who passed away during the incident.
Elenor is pretty calm and caring person, always caring towards the citizens of Rosas and making sure their well being is accounted for! She only really gets loud when citizens of Rosas are not taking care of themselves.
Enzo is a pretty stoick, but gentle character. He moved to Rosas due to conflict rising in Libya during around the 1150s. His family were carpenters, with him and Elenor meeting when he was pretty much selling some of his works. He taught Magnus how to carve and make stuff out of wood :)
Elenor's brother that I have yet to name was the general during the war (and also passed away in)
He was pretty much Magnus' mentor when it came to fighting skills. Hes very strict and also somewhat stoick? Character? I havent really focused much on him yet so I dont overall have much to say on him.
These are Agatha's siblings who passed away from the incident as well.
Agatha and Evelyn were very close, however after their father died and Atticus was born, was around the time Agatha was separated from her family due to her going to war.
You can tell how overjoyed her family was when Agatha came home.
Evelyn LOVES the sun. Moreso just how people drew or interpreted it. She loves drawing the general shapes of the sun, and even embroidered it onto her outfit. The charm Agatha used to have was made by her.
Atticus is wearing Agatha's old tunic which he, with the help of Evelyn, embroidered bugs to it. He loved eating bugs. Unfortunately for him, he actually is physically weak, meaning he can pretty much bruise and scar his skin easily, which is why he has bandages on him. Though its nothing that Agatha's healing potions wont fix!
....
Honestly im just giving ya'll more reason to hate this guy:
Btw I figured out a name! Its ⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️⬛️!
Yeah ya'll gonna hate me sigh....
Whatevs
AUGH AND FOR SOME REASON MY PHOTOS WONT LOAD HERE FOR DOODLES AUGHHH
Also i found out my grandma wrote fan fiction for shows
My perception of life js now forever changed with that information
I'm back with a few more character designs for Epic!
With Hermes, I tried to do smt diffrent by giving him longer hair because usually he's depicted with short hair. I also gave him a little side-cape and some nice necklaces. His winged shoes are inspired by that old depicted of him.
Here we also have Circe and Calypso. Since Circe's dad is Helios, I decided to give her some sun-themed jewlery and patterns on her dress. Also, a sheer side-cape because yes.
For Calypso, I really wanted to go for a ocean/tropical vibe with the teal colors and pearls. I also gave her a belt made out of vine with flowers bc I thought it'd look cute lol.
And now for Telemachus: His design is pretty standard to the usual design, but I added a few things to it that I think were rarely done before. He's wearing purple (bc Ody's main color is blue and Penelope's color is red) and he has Heterochromia (green for his dad's, brown for his mom's). I tried to make him look like a blend of his parents lol. Did I succeed?
Last and least, Penelope (🎶Penelopeeeee~🎶) both in her "Before Ody Left" outfit and in her current outfit while waiting at Ithaca.
Like I mentioned above, her main color is red but that changes during her waiting phase. I wanted her to be more covered up, firstly as a way to resemble mourning because she is sad and also has 0 idea if her husband is still alive or not, and secondly to show the suitors that she's not going to marry any one of them any time soon. Since black clothing wasn't really a thing back then, I decided to go with a very dark blue for her "mourning" outfit.
And that's basically it for today. Btw, I am thinking of potentially doing animatics too, but we'll see how that'll go lol. I hope you like these designs✨️
And the second poster has been finished!! Let me tell you that her hair took sooo long but it was worth it. I also chose to make the poster much more vibrant than the original one. And I gave Asha an expression that would match the sense of wonder the wishes make you feel when you're surrounded by them.
As a comparison, here's the original poster:
While I do like this poster, I'm not getting much from Asha. You could replace her with Anna, Rapunzel or Vaiana/Moana. And also, are we not allowed to have vibrant colors in Wish? I do like the silver and blue lighting but it would fit to Magnifico's poster more.
(One on the left is Alcors human form as the one on the right shows their true form)
I finally finished Alcor's character sheet! This took a long time to finally settle with something I liked, and I genuinely love the result!
Something to note is that their face isnt always consistent, however thats entirely intentional!
As I slightly explained here in my star post (though I really need to fix it due to it being sloppily written which I very much appoligize for), Alcor is a prematured star. In result of being prematured, his forms end up not looking right and end up looking off putting or uncanny.
They may be strong, but they are still weak for a star, only being able to do half of the abilities normal stars are able to conduct.
Before getting into their design process, I actually need to dive into worldbuilding quickly since its very important for people to understand this part (especially due to how important it is that i forgot to mention in the star post).
So lets get into it!
Star Realm Worldbuilding Ramble
This part will be short, however as I keep empathizing on, there is very much a need to know bases on how the stars grant wishes.
The stars go through a process in which when a star is called upon, the Wishing star has a choice weather or not to grant the wish. (So yes, they wont be pulled when someone wishes on them)
The wish appears on a ribbon (near where stars are born) on a tree. If you want a point of refrence, I'd look at this cut scene from wish:
The only difference there is that the tree would look alive and unnatural, and is surrounded by a lake that allows stars to peer into Earth (im debating if the stars call Earth by Gia but thats a topic for another day lol) for however long they'd like to.
Now, if the star decides to not grant the wish, The wish will remain on the tree until the person dies, in which the wish will fade away along with the person (however with a chance of something happening but I wont say what yet).
If the star decided to enter Earth, they go through a bonding process where the Star and User are bonded together. These 2 images should explain it:
(Yes...Alcor struggles with shaping hands. They usually land between 3-4 fingers. Never 5)
Constellations mean 2 things in my AU:
Its either referred to by a area in which stars are born. Its kind of hard to explain other than being the actual constellation in the sky. After the deities of those constellations died, the star dust started collecting there and sometimes (with a extra ingredient) a Wishing star is born!
Is the actual deity themselves.
Alcor was born under the Ursa Major Wing.
Thats all I can generally say at the moment and felt like it needed to be said due to how important it was to know this for the story.
In general, if you do genuinely have questions about the world building I do implore you to ask since I really do love answering questions about the au lol.
Anyways, enough worldbuilding rambling, lets dive into Alcor's design process and actual design!
Design Process
Alcor, as you have seen before, has went through many....many variations of them, more or less with his design.
these were my first attempts at drawing (at the time) Star Boy. Color wise, I wanted him to contrast with Ashas red design at the time with blues, yellows, and purple.
I didnt really have a point of refence at the time other than the concept art, nor did I think much or was at the starting point of the stars culture being in development.
(^the image above was for a Harpy Hare x Star Boy drawing lol)
at this stage, I struggled a LOT with his cape.
However, besides the current one, this is one is by far my favorite cape design, despite it not being (unfortunately) cannon.
However, after I decided to go the eldrich route, their appearance ofc began to change.
I dont necessarily remember what caused the changed, but I remember it being a very specific Aleous(?) design or a general godess/deity that inspired it
whatever the case, I ended up with this design, which contrasted very well with Asha's design (probably because his is more daytime themed and hers being more sunset/nighttime themed (shes moreso in the inbetween) ).
its very important to have Asha and Alcor contrast each other mainly due to Magnus and Agatha contrasting each other as well.
Now this lead to me getting to Alcor's current design. The colors previously have slightly blended together, and patterns began to feel important.
Now onto patterns, Wishing Stars in my AU (and stars in general) are inspired by the Dream catchers and how we ourselves interpret stars.
With that in mind...
I could make a more detailed version later, but im too lazy to do that right now lol.
Plus they also have shapes that look like eyes, and its mainly to resemble a eye and also the center of the web.
Color wise and shape, the fur coat is to resemble their true form in a way, with their heart taking center and acting like the edges of a necklace or something the coat latches onto.
There is edges of purple in the dark blue garments of his sleeves and pants, with a teal payterned web embroidery garmet underneath the main tunic.
The purple is to serve a connection to Asha,
And the slight sea foam color connecting to the royals.
Alcor will learn in due time what larrick did to my royals...it just wont be now.
Lore
There isnt much to say other than repeating myself.
Howver, Alcor was mainly raised by the Morning Star, other wise, MS for short. MS although having a spotty memory, they have a soft spot for Alcor and is someone they can go to for comfort and love when the other stars scold him for taking interest in the human world.
It fustrates Alcor to no end. Why cant they go down to earth? They dont want to stay up in this realm forever and just watch. Thats all they've ever done!
Yeah sure, they wont be able to smell the salty ocean, taste the delicious cakes , and feel the world around them, but at least he can say they had experienced it. (Wishing Stars dont have taste, smell, and touch as general senses as they evolved to not really need then due to being in space/star realm).
"If watching is all you're going to do, then you're going to watch your life go by without you."
They just want to help...
Concluding Thoughts
Writing this made me wanna go back and add some stuff to Maggy's character sheet. For some reason I didnt dive into his colors as I did for Alcor here. Imma do that in a bit
Anyways Alcor was easy...UNLIKE MAGGY 👹
Something interesting is that personality wise, they're really the only character that hasn't largely changed in the drafts of himself. The only difference is moreso with the middle of the story and what happens to them. After that part, Alcor's tone drastically shifts. But thats all I'll say for now lol.
(fun fact, they have dinosaurs arms...aka they're arms always rest like a dinosaur...rawr...🦖)
(ALSO I TRIED TO AVOID THE BLACK FUR COAT CAUSE IK SOMEONE DID THAT I REALLY TRIED NOT TOOOOO BUT IT CONTRASTED WIPL WITH HIS DESIGN UGHHHHHHHHHHH)
Also Alcor means faded, lost, and neglected in Aribic. Just some food for thought since it describes them well.
ALSO ALSO I FORGOT TO TELL PEOPLE I CHANGED MY PFP THATS MY BAD GANG 🥹🥹🥹🥹
