this is the funniest fucking thing i have ever seen
"Early" does not mean "better."
When I tell people about my cancer experience, I usually add in something like:
It was a really tiny tumor.
I just went through one round of radiation.
They found it early.
It had the potential to be much worse in a couple years.
Why do I say that?? Why do I downplay my cancer? I’m now 100% dependent on a tiny pink pill every morning for the rest of my life (if I were to miss 3 days of it, I’d probably be close to dead. Not kidding.). I know the truth of my condition post-cancer, so why do I lie to other people about it?
The real answer? I’m a people-pleaser. I hate seeing other people upset or uncomfortable - so much so that I carefully choose how I present my cancer story and current condition to them.
But now I’ve decided that I need to stop. I didn’t suffer for years (pre-and post-diagnosis) just to pat others on the back and say “It’s okay now!” because it’s not. It’s not okay. I wasn’t okay then, and I’m not okay now. I might have found my cancer early, but that only set me up for more years of pills, blood tests, shots, fatigue, and nightmares and chances of recurrence.
“Early” does not mean “better.”
Hiding it can only get you so far
Numb but still so fucking overwhelmed
Never let an artist paint you nice and pretty in their head

tumblr mirrors on ‘photosugar’
So idk if others have noticed this before - but it’s the first time I’m seeing this, hence the post.
There’s a website, https://www.photosugar.com, which apparently mirrors all pictures, gifsets etc. people post on their tumblrs (and also other social media sites like twitter and instagram, if I understand it correctly). An eample for a tumblr user, with my name: https://www.photosugar.com/tu/lordhellebore
Now it won‘t turn up anything but a 404 error in my case, because I sent an e-mail to the contact address, which is [email protected] with the title “My content on your website”:
Hello, it’s come to my attention that you are mirroring all of the posts containing pictures/gifs that I post on my tumblr. I am asking you to stop pulling the content from my tumblr and to delete me from your website. tumblr username is „lordhellebore“ Thank you.
I got a reply consisting of the single word “removed” after just one day, and as you can see, it worked perfectly fine with the informal mail I sent. So if you want them to stop mirroring your tumblr, it seems all you really need to to is this.
I can’t test the site for all of my mutuals, but I’m tagging a few whom I found on there by random trial & error, and I suggest you look yourself up if you see this post and dislike tumblr mirrors (even if this one is only for pictures, not text).
@janiedean, @ladytp, @vaysh11, @lunavagantt, @einemelodieimwind, @robb-greyjoy, @youbuggingme, @ysilme, @rex-luscus, @bai-xue, @viendiletto, @electricalice, @contessa-de-leusse, @memetic-mutism, @bluecichlid, @mrs-storm-andrews, @ladymothwing, @prismatic-bell, @kittykatknits, @tinkili
….basically, whomever I’m trying at random, it seems that you’re on there.
Please reblog so others can know and ask for removal if they want to.
So I looked into this, and sure enough. Every graphic I’ve posted or reblogged on Tumblr (on both my blogs) is mirrored on Photosugar. It seems gross and disingenuous to mirror without consent, not to mention problematic from a copyright perspective.
Hey all - while your writing may not show up on photosugar, any pictures or graphics you post or reblog, will. And they will show up without the textual context that accompanies them on Tumblr. In case that matters to you.
UPDATE - You can now have your content removed by going to: https://www.photosugar.com/remove
So no need to e-mail anyone.
I just had my blogs removed from this site. It’s incredibly sketchy that someone is doing such a thing without consent, so I highly encourage you to take a second to remove your blogs.
Y’all may want to check this out. I went there and searched up my tumblr url, and there were tons of my pic posts and reblogs on there, I would suggest checking it and removing yourself from their website! I was able to just by putting my username in the empty box when you got to the remove link
I just checked it out.. and removed my blogs.
Heads up, folks!
Why is this bad?
Because that means if you have a personal tumblr and you post pictures of yourself or post your own art/drawings/images then some site is taking them and making it look like their own.
I just keep holding on hoping that one day everything will be better
