Some things I've done with Apple watch in the last 11 hours.
- Unpacked the watch around 1pm - Set my Mickey Mouse face. - Set a countdown timer. - Stopwatched a render. - Charged it to 80% - Sent an animated emoticon to a friend iphones 6. It showed up as an animated gif. - Checked my calendar, for next meetings. - Paired bluetooth headphones to the watch. - Checked Onnifocus for next tasks. - Received a bunch of animated gifs - Dictated 3 text messages. 2 in the office and 1 at a loud bar. And all 3 transcribed perfectly. Is siri better on the watch than the iphone? - Stood up and walked around because my watch told me to. - Remote controlled overcast podcast app. - Checked Maps and for some reason it showed my route home and estimated travel time automatically. Cool and weird. - Remote controlled my AppleTV at home. - Launched Uber and it was tracking my ride with a map. (i hailed it with my phone) - Changed my watch face to “Simple”. - Paid for a cab with Apple Pay on the watch. - Replied to a bunch of texts with just the contextual responses. No typing. - Checked Twitterrific - Checked Instagram, liked some pics. - Checked Foursquare to see if it knew where i was. My bar was the 1st in the “nearest” list. - Shazamed a song from my bar stool in a loud crowded bar. It nailed it. (“Stripped” by depeche mode) - Checked my watch for the time, noticed my battery is at 43%, either that or it’s 43F degrees out, I’m drunk. - it’s almost midnight.
I’ve used my phone four times today: - To setup the watch. - To take photos at work. - To hail an Uber - To write this.
Not bad for the first day.
