[ Bones is the Enterpriseâs resident kink shamer. ] [ Heâs all about letting people live their life as long as theyâre not hurting anyone, but when people end up in medbay because of some sexy times gone wrong, he draws the line. Some days his life is like a bad rerun of Sex Sent me to the ER. Â He does not want to know what youâre doing in your spare time, be safe; or get kink shamed by Dr. Mccoy. ]Â
ââŠand I think you get to see a little bit of the formation of the classic Star Trek triumvirate between Kirk, Spock and Bones.â âKARL URBAN

âDoctor, I assure you I am not that injured.â Chekov offered a smile as though that would lessen the fact that he was cradling his hand against his chest afraid to move his fingers in case the throbbing pain returned. âThere is a⊠Russian remedy that will work just as well as med bay, I assure you.â
Heâs not buying that act for a second, especially since itâs quite obvious the young man is injured; at least a little bit. Bones shakes his head, pointing a finger at the limb he has tucked against his chest. âLetâs see that hand, Mr. Chekov.âÂ
âDid I stutter? Yes, I want a cheeseburger & I donât really care what my GI    systemâs doing or if I puke it back up. Hell, Iâll gladly puke it back up if it    means I actually get to taste something good,â he grumbled, letting Bones    start to pull him up by his arm. He was so tired of this â all of it. He hated    hospitals on a good day but after spending weeks in the same room with    the most exciting change in his schedule being the addition of the worldâs    shortest PT session three times a week & an uncomfortable bed, he was    more than ready to at least be back in his own apartment. So he didnât    mean to be so irritable & take out his frustrations on his friend. He really    didnât. âI just want some normalcy, Bones,â he whined as they began the    short but SLOW walk to the bathroom, Jimâs feet sluggish & unsteady    beneath him.
âYou wonât be saying that when you do start puking it back up, kid.â There was plenty of reasons why Bones wasnât about to let him eat that. Possible dehydration from vomiting so much was one of the few. Any added strain on Jimâs body was only going to inhibit his recovery. It was odd to see the captain like this, so weak and vulnerable. He knew Jim was getting stronger everyday, but he couldnât try and rush through the healing process. The doctor nodded his head, making sure his steps were slow enough so he didnât rush the blond at all. âIâll tell the hobgoblin to come over during visiting hours tomorrow. He can try and tell me how to do my job, Iâll tell him to stick it where the sun donât shine, and you can sit here and laugh about it. Howâs that for normalcy?âÂ

Of course it worked. Well, Khan hadnât been sure about that at all, but heâd expected it to be working. His blood was extraordinary, could even summon a miracle it seemed, and now the good captain was back for his crew. Back home, back to see his loved ones once more. Had jumped off deathâs scythe. And where was Khan? Here, inside that cell once again. After everything he had done do rescue his loved ones heâd ended up here, he wasnât there for his crew, he couldnât talk to them, comfort them. Also, there was no one to comfort him in return. But Kirk was back. âI am glad it worked.â, was all he said, gaze averted as before. âAnd I am sure his condition will be perfect within the next days.â
Things were still touch and go with Kirk, but his vitals didnât lie. Heâd pull through this. Working with the other nurses to get the captain stable had exhausted the doctor. Still, for Jim, it was more than worth all the effort and missed sleep. Now that they were through that ordeal, all that was left was the anger. A part of him wished he could have dealt a few blows to the man like Spock had gotten to. âAre you now?â He snarled, fingernails digging into the palms of his hands. âIâll tell him the man who almost got him killed sends his well wishes!â Bones took a deep breath, voice lowering. âYouâre damn lucky I needed Mr. Spock to bring you back alive.â It wasnât like him to wish for the death of another living being, but these were special circumstances. Leonard had been so close to losing his best friend.Â

He doesnât even want the hypo. He wants nothing more than to go locate his best friend and complain to him about the fact heâs being kept off duty for so long. Itâs more helpful than painkillers, in his experience. âDo you really think thatâs necessary? Have had worse than this, sir.â
He considers the question and shakes his head, pocketing the unused hypo. There was no point in giving the kid painkillers if he really didnât want them--it wasnât as if they were necessary antibiotics or anything. âIf you change your mind and Iâm not around, tell Nurse Chapel and she can give you some. But Iâm serious about you taking some time. Stay off the bridge. We all know Mr. Spock is a tattle-tale.âÂ
