...Okay, okay he did look upset I admit it, but when compared to how he reacted when Aaron walked away (like someone just kicked his puppy -- sorry Marlon) he looked more mardy than genuinely hurt by her rejection.
Also loving how tonight was kind of the the first glimpse we've really seen of Robert being almost ashamed/insecure about himself and his “tedious sham of a marriage” (finally Chrissie, finally you see! Why take him back ffs!) He was really bigging himself (and Lawrence’s whiskey) up to his family, he didn't mention how much he supposedly loves her, or the fact that things are most definitely not okay between them because I think he wants, more than anything for his family to respect him. He wants them; Diane, Vic and Andy to see him as this perfect, untouchable success and Chrissie is part of that illusion. Illusion being the operative word! I think this, if they’re going there, is where the sexuality arc comes into play! He doesn’t want to lose their approval/admiration of him, his place on the pedestal he’s sat himself upon, and in his mind the Home Farm lifestyle is the only way to keep it!
