I’m listening to the audiobook of Harry Potter and the half blooded prince. It’s crazy the hate that Harry had on Snape and not realizing Snape was helping him and other students. He thought he ate Snape up with that don’t call me sir. I love Harry don’t get me wrong, but he was a git at times.

One of the things I really like about the relationship between Harry and Snape is precisely that Harry is such an asshole, because that’s when he shows that he’s a teenager rebelling against the only real authority figure he has in his life. The rest of the adults (if we leave the Dursleys aside, since they’re a case apart) are very condescending and permissive with him; even McGonagall, who does set more limits, always ends up bending. But Severus doesn’t.

Severus can’t stand the kid getting into trouble every other day, because he is the one who has to get him out of it or make sure he doesn’t get himself killed in one of those messes. So for me it’s not just that he has it in for him because he’s the spitting image of James, but also because Harry gives him ten times more work, which for someone who already has one job and another on top of that as a spy is absolutely exhausting.

Severus imposes a very strict authority on him, and Harry can’t stand it because he’s also not used to other adults in the magical world setting such hard limits on him, so he rebels in a very childish way. Because those little things he does, like “don’t call me sir,” are the tantrums of a fucking shitty kid, but that’s the point, he is a shitty kid. I mean, Harry is a teenager, and teenagers give those kinds of answers when they want to feel above an adult who’s imposing rules on them. And it’s very real because of that.

I really like that about Harry, because it’s a side of him that only comes out with Snape and shows that, despite everything, he’s still a kid with kid stuff. He drives me up the wall sometimes, but in a way I think it’s good because it’s realistic. Because honestly, if a kid talked to me like that at my age, I’d feel like punching his face in, lol. That’s also one of the reasons why I don’t judge Severus when it comes to him, because Jesus Christ, what an insufferable little brat, he’d drive me insane.

Remus Lupin, oart of the Marauders, admits to Harry that they would have found it 'extremly entertaining' to lure a boy who everyone thinks is being hunted by a mass murderer out if the safety of the castle.

Abd people still claim them tormenting Snape was somehow a mutual rivalry? Nah. Just nah.

The Marauders were cruel, reckless and had no considerstion for the well-being or safety of others. Even an adult Remus knows this, but by his behaviour in the third book we also learn that, despite having realised this, he has not changed one bit either.

What I'm currently working on.

I've been rewatching Naruto after work and I must say Naruto in english dub is funny as hell.

Naruto has a special place in my heart because it's the reason I started learning to draw seriously. I can totally remember watching this anime the first time it aired back in 2003 on my country. I was hooked and I started drawing naruto OC on my gradeschool notebooks much to the chagrin of my teachers. (I'm actually sad that I didn't have any pictures or save those notebooks)

I recently found out that people new the series hated the fillers but back then I didn't know the word 'fillers' I'm just glad that there is an episode to watch. So when shippuden came I never felt that the anime was on hiatus since they are pumping fillers like crazy.
