I still have my notes on a bunch of different folks I was gonna introduce, more bbs, more pr1, the septicegos. I’ll post them up at some point soon but I probably won’t be doing the school format. I definitely won’t with the ones not in YT but idk if I’ll force myself with the others. It was kinda nice with the recent Ze.}>

Strong drive to never show his “weakness” to others.

Covers with smiles and jokes 25/9. Only lets himself “break” in front of Jack’s grave or Henrik. If he does around Stacy & Grayson’s memorial, he leaves immediately.

Has a drinking habit.

Whiskey. Likes the smell more than anything but the numbness doesn’t hurt.

Attempted suicide following Stacy & Grayson’s deaths.

He was 20 years old. Mostly healed save for slight scarring and being blind in his left eye.

Hates, hates, hates Antony.

Like a lot of people, he blames Antony for Jack’s death. Chase also blames him for his wife & child’s deaths. Calls him “glitch bitch” as a way to somehow feel stronger than him; Antony hates the name.

Of his family, he likes Henrik the most.

He’s in contact with this brothers but emotionally keeps them at an arm’s length. He used to like playing basketball with them when they were younger.

He lived with Henrik during his healing & recovery, allowing him to learn about his recluse of a brother. He grew to care about him. Chase saw many similarities they shared and wanted to help him.

His quirk, Health, allows him to store others’ vitality within himself.

This is used by his body to heal itself when injured. He is able to channel this and heal others, though in this case his own vitality is drained instead of stores with the stores only kicking in once his own is nearly depleted. Therefore, he is often unable to fully heal others’ serious injuries, as shown with Antony & Chase.

Stores of vitality drain his skin of colour. Storing excessive amounts may cause him to seek injury to use the vitality on, however this is his brothers’ theory based on scarce examples.

Rarely interacts with his brothers.

Lurks at family events. No-one seeks him out so it works well.

JJ info post

Jameson Jackson. 

Jackson is his middle name but it’s treated by him & others as a second first name. Parents really love the name Jack apparently.

His quirk is Soundproof.

He stockpiles all sounds that his body produces which can be used to magnify a sound later. This is theorised to be why he’s mute; his body absorbs the sound of his voice. This is incorrect as he can’t amplify his voice, seemingly showing he didn’t have one in the first place.

The absorption aspect has been present since birth, the reuse manifested when he was 2. He gave everyone in the surrounding area some degree of hearing damage but not himself as he reabsorbed it — even if he magnifies a sound he can’t hear it, he’ll always be unable to hear himself.

His family didn’t know the difference between soundproofing and acoustic absorption when naming the quirk. JJ had tried to explain the difference when he was older but they either didn’t see it as a big deal, brushed him off, or ignored him. Seán asked about it when he learnt the difference. This introduced a new element to JJ & Seán’s relationship: complaining about their family not listening & speaking for them. Mute & youngest child unite!

Carries around whiteboards to communicate with.

A4 & A5 that live in his waistcoats with multiple pens. He has dealt with leaky pens too many times. It never gets easier.

His handwriting is reminiscent of silent films’ intertitle/speedball font, purposely on his part. He likes silent films. He doesn’t miss out on anything.

All this and he does know BSL, he just hasn’t come across many people who understand BSL.

Come holiday season, JJ will trade whatever for a Christmas cracker moustache.

When he gets the facial hair, he will grow one for himself. The most he gets now is annoying pseudo-stubble.

<{a bit ago I made a list of the jsegos’ ages in this au. i think I’m gonna be posting their characters notes next instead of students just ‘cause I have the most motivation to talk about them because they have the most going on, even if I never really got to the details of the main McLoughlins’ stories. They’ll be in reverse age order bar Seán & Angus who already have profiles up, i will update if I missed anything of them. the older ones tend to have more stuff going for them story wise and I kinda ended up giving JJ some of my mute traits which is why he has a chunk.

John

His quirk, Spray Paint, let’s him change the colour of things by exhaling onto them.

When activated, his exhaled breath is like a smoke cloud of the appropriate colour which he can vaguely control the movement of and how it affects what it lands on. He is able to make things invisible since it works by changing how things coated reflect light waves. Cleaning reverts the effects.

He has a passive mutation in that his body runs extremely cold.

He can tolerate low temperatures since they’re more like his normal body temperature. He’s used this in conjunction with his Spray Paint to exist in freezing environments and effectively exhale LN2.

Designs costumes in his free time.

He has a passion for it, hence why he’s in D-2.

Attends rescue courses as an extracurricular and joins B-2 for some of their mandatory bonus lessons.

He wants to do some hero work on the side of being a costume designer. He figured they’d boost one another in popularity. He is absolutely exhausted from doing al this.

John’s had a say in most of his friends’ hero costumes.

He made a basic design of Brian’s sunglasses that a friend in E-2 developed. He has taken the burden of making Matt a costume that he can’t destroy so easily. He’s the sole reason Smii7y has a costume outside of a propelller hat and 3D glasses.

Steven

His quirk is called Blot

Ze can control and manipulate blood. He actively avoids using it on himself wherever possible, especially for healing. His hero costume has a thin layer of blood coating it for easy emergency access.

Has haemophilia a

When he was young he tried to use his quirk to clot an injury by forcing all the little available factor VIII he had to the area; ended up clotting his whole arm and couldn’t figure out how to change it back.

Been in multiple classes.

He was put in A-1 due to an error in the application system misidentifying his quirk. Once the error was found out he was moved to the reform course, where he stayed for all of his second year. His classmates’ campaigning incited a revision of how the reform programme operates, and Ze was moved back into A-3 for his final year.

Very shy.

Notable when viewed alongside his classmates. He does become a lot more open when in private with friends but tends to stay quiet in most situations.

Is it really safe to attend the hero training whatever

Apparently this has been asked a lot in various ways but I can’t tell what this one means. Take your pick.

1 If you’re implying it isn’t safe generally, the Trainee TournaVention has a bunch of security on top of the masses of trainees present on top of the pro heroes present for panels, presentations, and general getting to know the next generation.

2. If you’re implying that it won’t be safe for Y.T. students attending the event or remaining on site, we will be fine. We’ve improved our security here at the school, we’ve assigned some of our most capable third years to chaperone the others, we’ve been in contact with TTV security to ensure students’ safety.

3. If you’re implying the event won’t be safe because Y.T. are attending, I can assure you none of us — especially not students representing us regardless of involvement of the little “incident” you know very little about — will pose a threat to the event.

End of Year Exam Report

Name: Brian Michael Hanby

Class: B-1

Alias: The Terroriser

I will give him this: Brian scored substantially higher than B-1’s class average of 17. This is not so impressive — rather more indicative of his and his class’ attitude to the academic side of study at Y.T. — as the question exam was out of 86. There are multiple unattempted questions, some others answered with snarky remarks, and he missed the first 2 pages entirely. What he did answer properly he got full marks on. His essay on the ethics hero “brands” and how far heroes are expected to fit it was poorly argued from a technical standpoint but was among the most unique, interesting essays written this year.

Brian paved the way to victory in his partnered exam by swiftly analysing the combat terrain & the opponent, then telling his partner (Daithi Nagle, B-1) to smack them into submission before restraining them himself. I can’t discredit Brian for this, nor the minor squabble brought up by his partner.

In the crisis exam, Brian immediately sought a vantage point and used the comms systems B-1 had set up in their free time to relay information on the villains. Once the management students took over this line of inquiry, Brian went to other heroes already in fights to provide assistance. He was particularly vital in protecting classmate Dallas Young so he could continue snipe at villains from a rooftop, enduring a stray bullet in the process. I wouldn’t have marked him down for yelling at Mr Young then and there but Brian managed to restrain himself until the exam was done by taking it out on opponents. He tried to hide a dislocated finger by setting it back while still on the field which is why he did not achieve a distinction.

Though Brian is formidable when it comes to practical situations, a severe change in attitude is needed when it comes to the academics. It may not seem important in comparison to action but the knowledge will help him to improve as a hero and person. Brian will attend mandatory bonus lessons along with the rest of the new B-2 in the upcoming year.

Max

His quirk is Platypus.

He is an anthro platypus, standing at 4’4”. He’s trying to strength-train his tail enough he can hold himself up on it to try increase his height.

Considered the class mascot of A-3.

Helped by his position as seat 1 (he wanted to sit closest to the door to leave quicker) and by being an “adorable animal”. Arguably he’s more like a cult leader at times. If Courtilly or Kara are unable to attend class rep meetings, Max takes their place. He won’t do much besides taking full advantage of drinks and snacks, but he’ll be there.

Doesn’t wear uniform properly and never will.

Since he’s got a mutant quirk he does get some leeway via Y.T.’s anti-discrimination policies but this doesn’t extend to wearing Hawaiian shirts under his blazer. Staff have accepted this given Mr Yard is soft for his class.

He was asked once how he’d dye his hair if he wanted to, the next day he came in completely pinky-purple.

Added some yellow bits later. He also came in completely white one day but I don’t think I should talk about it.

The best washer-uperer [whatever the damn pizza club’s called today] has ever seen, although may be licking them clean…

He’s a snrrrrrrk mimimimimimimi-er.

Some of his classmates got curious of which depiction of snoring was most accurate so naturally spied on the others while they slept via microphone bugs. Max was one of the only data points. The mic is still in his room and has overheard so much yelling.

Max is a well-rounded student, doing well in academics, hero theory, and practical hero work. He represents his class well — jovial, friendly, promising heroes.

Anna

Her quirk is Rematch.

Anna can go back in time by 10 minutes by overriding her old consciousness. She gets transported into her body from 10 minutes prior with all her current knowledge. Think Time Reversal from Misfits. It’s a draining process so she almost never uses it. It is possible for Anna to jump back multiple times but the only time she’s done this she ended up unconscious for an hour.

Top of H-2.

She specialises in developing tailor-made techniques and strategies based on their opponent’s style, taking the client’s skills into consideration.

Runs the chess club.

She joined when she was a first year and the third years in charge gave the club over to her. Thankfully Anna is a merciful leader. Others trust she doesn’t use her quirk, though some will make jokes here and there.

Seán’s question exam was slightly disappointing as he had been doing well in mocks, though he by no means failed. His essay contained immaculate analysis and evaluation. This did raise concerns among staff, especially given his chosen subject. I will talk with Seán about this privately, any guardians present at his request.

Seán was partnered with Mark Fischbach (C-1) for a variety of reasons, the key one being testing their seriousness. They both completed the exam with an appropriate approach. They were dedicated to apprehending the villain yet kept a jovial attitude — this did cause Seán’s temporary capture but ultimately enabled them to succeed with the help of Hype and its hefty stores.

The crisis exam was a stressful event for all the students participating (understandably given it is a surprise exam that we try our best to make seem authentic). This severely limited Seán’s quirk initially; he worked alongside Daniel Condren of A-1 to boost morale before engaging in combat. There was an incident on his journey to the battle as he attempted to travel over rooftops. Hype seemingly didn’t activate for a jump and Seán fell 4 storeys. Thankfully he was assisted by David Nagle of B-1 and sustained no injuries.

Seán performed extremely well in his practical assessments. It is possible nerves got to him before the first written exam or some other factor played a part that wasn’t usually present. I am interested in the nature of the roof incident. He used reserves of Hype later when in battle, so why it didn’t activate is curious. Regardless, Seán will continue to achieve great things in his second year at Y.T.

End of Year Exam Report

Name: Kevin O’Reilly

Class: F-1

Notes

Kevin performed well in the written exams. His knowledge on a wide array of quirk and usage helped him to be one of the few students to get over 14 marks on the 20 mark strategy question. He changed the topic of his essay a few times in the exam so the final product was underdeveloped although his understanding of the subject was clear.

Kevin worked solo for all of his partnered exam, though not of his own accord. On the day his quirk gave him the ability to produce spiderweb from his mouth, which was utilised with great proficiency in combat and evasion. However, as I’m sure you’re aware, Kevin did endure grievous injury to his back while trying to communicate with his partner (Daniel Condren of A-1). Though this motivated his partner to act and consequently not fail the exam, Kevin was left unable to continue. The severity of the injury unfortunately means I have to fail Kevin in spite of his prior performance, which was worthy of a merit.

Kevin was able to participate in the crisis exam to a limited degree. He operated alongside management course students instead of on the ground with the hero course. His quirk that day allowed him to disconnect his vision from his eyes and see from a perspective seen in the previous sight. He used it to locate civilians and villains — the quirk enabled him to change his perspective to one viewed through another perspective meaning he could move his vision across the field in seconds. To his credit, he discovered this loophole incredibly quickly.

Kevin will be able to progress onto the second year, though it is mandatory for anyone who failed the partnered exam to attend extra lessons outside of normal lesson times. This will still be true for Kevin, even given his specific situation, once he is seen fit by a doctor. We all wish him a swift recovery.

Tom

His quirk is called Exploit and is suitably broken; he can ignore the laws of the universe temporarily at the cost of huge amounts of energy.

Gravity, states of matter, survival needs like blood if he manages to get into that kind of situation, you get the idea. The brit is left tired for days if he uses it for even a couple of seconds, so he tries to maximise its usefulness while using it sparingly.

Class representative of A-2.

His demeanour made quite a few of his peers immediately suggest him. That or his fancy little monocle.

Joins study sessions with classmates where possible but never training sessions.

He likes keeping his developments secret so he can play it off during lessons or field work.

Always has tea on hand.

Yorkshire Gold, caffeinated so he doesn’t feel the impact of his quirk as much. He has multiple gold-coloured flasks so he can always carry some nice toasty brew.

Tom is one of the more theatric students at Y.T., preferring to work solo within groups to silently boast his power until mentioned by others. He has been taken down a peg since he passed out while stuck in his dormitory door because he ran out of energy mid-phase. How such a quirk exists is absolutely terrifying. I can’t tell if it’s for better or worse that he is the one to wield it.

Yelling could be heard deep down the hallway. A fight. While not common, it certainly isn't rare either. A school full of powerful hormonal teens who think just because they are become heros, their special and above others. While not every student is like that, a good chunk is. A brawl has begun because a asshole decided, fuck it, and confronted Daniel about his "annoying superiority complex". This quickly turned more dangerous as other students jumped in, agreeing with the claim. The Irish lads barged through the growing crowd, fully ready to back Dan up. Brian stood firmly next to Dan, while Dathi held Kevin back and Jack tried to be the mediator and calm it down.

"Look at Daniel and Brian, " the one who started the fight chuckled, condescending. He reeled his fist back "getting all riled up. We all know they're the two going to turn out to be a pathetic villains... "

And the world froze. His fist flew to Daniel's face.

(Ending A. Jack punches a motherfucker. Cue the Irish Lads cheering on Jack.)

(Ending B. Jack gets punched after taking the hit for Dan. Cue the Irish Lads about to kill.)

Oh damn. My aus having an impact on people and what they do. I didn’t anticipate this. Thank you so much for writing this! It’s neat as all hell even if trying to articulate a response has me a nervous mess.

Brian and Dan would definitely be the Lads most often getting flak for “really being villains” (bar Kevin, who technically is). I like to think they’d bond a bit over it and be closer than people’d expect.

In this situation I don’t think Seán’d be Hyped up enough to do any damage so he’d take the hit for Dan and try his best in the ensuing brawl. They’re all getting detention for sure though it is absolutely worth it when months pass before another comment of the sort is said to any of the Lads.
