I have a little bit of a question, but to preface I absolutely ADORE how you draw bodies. like fuckin' goals. so the question with that in mind- how do you go about constructing the body? do you start with a ribcage? some scribbles? how do you go about that?
this is a great question and apologies for getting to it so late, i wasnt sure how to go about it for a while, since i'm not good with explaining that sort of stuff.
i can say that what helped the most is fast gesture drawing and line confidence scribbles [drawing various bodies with a pen/marker and genuinely doing your best with each] and making sure youre thinking before you draw, not just sketching and hoping for the best. thoughtful strokes, so to speak.
if i am drawing bodies without reference, when i just need to get the pose out, i do use the skeleton method and then work around it, because it can be very versatile. it does help to have SOME knowledge of anatomy so you'd understand where what goes though.
