After many years, the Jude In Wonderland illustration set is complete with this third and final crossover! The "White Rabbit", who has been cameoing in the previous illustration is finally revealed as Oak! Munching away on some tarts while Jude confronts the King of Spades, Madoc! We also have some other fun cameos with Oriana as his queen, Taryn as the duchess (and her piglet baby) with the Bomb (scheming mutiny?)

This was such a fun project and I very much appreciate your patience over the years journeying through these illustrations! Dropping the latest Sketch-a-Wish, voted on by my lovely Patreon members for April! A scene from The Wicked King by Holly Black, Cardan and Jude pledging their troth.

This scene was nondescript on the type of flowers that were blooming in the king's chambers as they were professing their vows to each other. But given how they were both adamant that their marriage would be utilitarian and short lived, I feel like the room blooming over head was a sign that it was more permanent than they realized, hence the wisteria and its meaning. 🤭

we got a lot of jurdan moments in the prisoner’s throne but yk what’s my absolute favorite? no, it’s not that time where cardan called jude “[so many secrets,] wife.” not that time either where cardan was willing to fight wren if jude got hurt bc of her. also not that time where cardan whipped out his cloak to protect jude from the bolts.

my absolute favorite jurdan moment from book two was them being told through oak’s eyes: oak noticing the change in cardan’s voice when talking only to jude, when it’s just the two of them — how it becomes raw. so real.

me when im trying to read another fantasy book with a romance side plot but i remember how none of those main characters would ever come close to jude and her complex and fleshed out personality and no love interest would ever get close to cardan and his character development and his swoon worthy lines to jude! and and and–!
