In episode 22, Pei Su eats to tell us they had sex
Or rather: eating as it relates to desires and how Pei su suppresses his own but drops that inhibition because of LWZ.
Every eating scene indicates an advancement in their romantic relationship.
Episode 3 | Very important scene. Pei su is asking for help in a roundabout way - he feels insecure about major changes in the people around him (Tao ze). The scene ends with his comment on LWZ: "same old, same old". Although other people may change, LWZ is the only constant in his life - someone he can potentially rely on for a sense of stability. Pei su barely eats, though. They are not at that stage yet.
Episode 6 | Pei su eats one bite (and LWZ notices). "Besides the little white flowers and the PSP, what else is there"? The conversation they have later over coffee is when LWZ almost lets slip that he cares for Pei su more than he says.
Episode 8 | LWZ remembers Pei su's birthday, and Pei su finds out the candies Tao ze gave him are actually from LWZ. They have a banter-y, no-fighting conversation as Pei su allows LWZ to know a bit more of his past. But this meal gets interrupted, and again Pei su barely eats. Later on, Pei su asks LWZ what they eat when they work overtime, and on the way home looks at Fairfield hotel (in the novel Feidu gets them food from a fancy hotel).
Episode 10 | Nobody eats in this lunch scene. Pei su calls LWZ out for his special "care". LWZ shows increased interest in Pei su from here on out.
Episode 13 | In the novel, this is after Feidu kisses LWZ for the first time. Pei su has a dubbed over line after LWZ feeds him: "Shixiong, if you were a girl, I would love you uncontrollably".
Episode 14 | Pei su eats hesitantly, in shock that LWZ came back for him. After this meal, LWZ confesses (novel) in his meaning of life speech, and ropes Pei su into his living routine (washing the dishes)
Episode 16 | LWZ is working up Pei su's appetite. Also, honey feeding scene (deleted). This is the episode Pei su moves in. Later the 3 questions conversation while sipping wine: LWZ says it's important to him to know why Pei su pushed him out of the way of the bomb. Pei su answers it was instinct. They are skirting around one word and it's love.
Episode 17 | The morning after that small "argument". They eat together, but not in sync as they are divided by the case. Pei su eats well but is interrupted by FM88.6.
Episode 22: Pei su eats enthusiastically, happily, without prompting
This is the day after LWZ confesses ("...but this time, I will hold onto you. I promise I will do it.")
This is also after Pei su's sequence of discreetly (or not-so-discreetly, ahem sock on couch) showing off to XHY that he lives with LWZ. The PDA continues with serving LWZ (and nobody else) food and tea
Pei su is still elegant, but his eating here is in stark contrast to all those times before. He even licks his lips.
Satiated, uninhibited, opened up to his mortal desires...
Indulging in a desire - desire for food parallels desire for sex. The censorship-safe representation of them sleeping together is showing a desire for something else - food. And Pei su shares the food with LWZ.
