Arjuna Alter has clearly powercreeped Raikou out of her job, even when against her own damn specialty of Earth/Demon/Sky servants. Against neutral enemies Raikou performs MUCH worse than Arjuna Alter, putting up only 62.4k NP damage vs the 93.2 she does with her specialty (and Arjuna Alter does 107k)
Even with crits, her supposed specialty, Raikou only outdoes Arjuna Alter when both servants have no other crit buffs placed on them, and even then only slightly. The presence of Merlin and Waver only makes Arjuna Alter get even further away from Raikou, proving that Raikou has been well and truly eclipsed.
One can argue that Raikou having two arts cards and her amazing stargen buff on her NP lets her play better with her allies and potentially allow for more NP spam and crits. The problem with relying on one stargen buffed turn, however, is that you’ll be card counting and generally be at the mercy of card distribution RNG to have Raikou’s cards show up again the turn after she NPs. With Arjuna Alter’s star absorb only on Buster cards, he relies on no such problem and will only need his supports to pack a 2030 and whenever his buster cards show up he’s ready to go.
Arjuna Alter having higher damage than Raikou would be okay if he didn’t eclipse Raikou in her own specific niche of Sky/Earth/Demon, but he does. By also having an NP charge skill, he’s also able to replicate her ability to quickly sweep a field by having a kaleidoscope on, which was a big part of what made her special. There is now no gameplay reason to use or roll for Raikou, a limited SSR berserker servant, if you can roll this limited SSR berserker servant.
TL;DR - DW put Mama out of a job by replacing her with a servant that does everything she does except better and done easier, even in her own specialty, even after she got new buffs. This is not okay balancing.
