what is “depression”?
There are some people who think they’ve gone through it a couple times in their life. and there are people who go through it every single day. some people think it’s just a mindset, and others think it’s literally a hoax.
Personally, I believe the people who ignore it are not doing anyone a service--they may be even hurting the situation even more. For everyone who suffers from any kind of depression, it’s up to them as an individual to judge how severe they believe it is--not for anyone else to force their own opinion. sure, there are medical definitions and criteria for things like this, but the point really is that these things try to keep us from living the life we ought to be living.
A healthy mindset is paramount in this situation. Realize that you do not have depression. it’s not a thing you posses. it’s simply a way to describe the way your mind works and operates--for now. the point is, the focus should be on who you want to be and how you want to operate rather than the way you’ve operated in the past.
