Restaurant: Phoenicia Address: 1001 Austin St, Houston, TX 77010 What: beef fajitas, salad, broccoli, and carrots Service: 8/10 Food: 7/10 Summary: My first time here after hearing good things about it. I got the entree option and it was decent. I just wish there was more meat.

Restaurant: Kasra Persian Grill Address: 9791 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77056 What: family platter Service: 2/10 Food: 7/10 Summary: so I am here with @ziyeyeah95 @laraaracely @denimheart @kingkongsarraj @mahnoorsamana @bassantheshaz @ruhi_maryam @ahmadasaad04 and @sal_and_peppa. While the food was OK, the service was just horrible. One of the waitresses was rude. She never smiled at all. Also, while I was in the middle of eating the bread, the same one had taken the bread away from me! Also, while I tried to get her attention,, she just ignored me. Restaurant: Empire Turkish Grill Address: 12448 Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77024 What: Filet mignon kebap Service: 9/10 Food: 9/10 Summary: my uncle was visiting from Dallas, and he was interested in trying a new cuisine. He told me that he wanted to try Turkish food. So I took him here since it's the nearest Turkish restaurant to my house. I had the filet mignon kebap while he had the chicken kebap. I must say that the meal was absolutely mouthwatering. My uncle really enjoyed his chicken bebap. Overall, I wiulsd definitely recommend

Address: 636 Highway 6, Ste 100, Sugar Land, TX 77478 What: custom made pizza consisting of chicken, beef, bell peppers, and provolone cheese Service: 8/10 Food: 9/10 Summary: finally in Sugar Land for the day! Decided to give this place a try and it lived up to the hype! Only the chicken and beef are halal though.

Restaurant: Dollar Fried Chicken Address: next to the shell gas station at the intersection of beltway 8 and veterans memorial drive. What: leg, breast, fries, and biscuit Service: 8/10 Food: 8/10 Summary: the chicken was fresh and hot. Best of all, it wasn't as oily as churche's or KFC. The biscuit tasted good, but the fries were a tad undercooked

Restaurant: VERTS Kebap Address: 107 Yale St, Houston, TX 77007 What: Gyro Service: 9/10 Food: 10/10 Summary: I'm pleased to announce that the successful Austin based Gyro chain has arrived in Houston! The gyro was as good as the ones I've had in Turkey. Their grand opening is this Saturday, and they are giving out the food for free that day! So if you are a UT student or alumni, or have tried this place when visiting Austin, then come on down to this location!

Restaurant: Hyderabad House Address: 6439 Westhelmer Rd, Houston, TX -77057 What: non-veg thali consisting of (from top going clockwise) naan, rice pudding dessert, white rice, chicken appetizer, chicken curry, daal, gravy, and raita. The middle is chicken biryani Food: 9/10 Service: 8/10 Summary: a new Indian restaurant. It replaces Bawarchi, which is relocating. Now I normally don't eat Indian food outside, but since this is a new restaurant, I decided to give it a try. It's as good as Bawarchi. The best out of all of this was the chicken 65, the raita, and the daal. Restaurant: Maharajah Address: 3711 Hwy 6 S, Houston, TX 77082 What: rice, chicken karahi, lamb karahi, and butter chicken Service: 9/10 Food: 9/10 Summary: so my dad treated me to lunch today here, and it was really awesome! Normally I usually eat Indian/Pakistani food outside when I'm with my family. This is one of the few Indian/Pakistani restaurants that I actually like. If you eat here, then make sure you have an empty stomach because with the buffet, they give you free chicken tikka and naan bread. This place also has catering and a party hall available. Restaurant: Burger Gyro Wings Address: The Shell gas station on West Little York just after Queenston What: Philly Cheesesteak Service: 8/10 Food: 7/10 Summary: this isn't your average restaurant. This restaurant is in the gas station. It's been a while since I had a Philly Cheesesteak, so I decided to try this place since its relatively new. This was alright, but not as good as Busy Boy. This is because there was barely any cheese in the cheesesteak. Restaurant: Angry Burridos Address: 8921 Louetta Rd, Spring, TX 77379 What: Chicken burrito Service: 6/10 Food: 8/10 Summary: a halal restaurant near vintage park. The burrito was few levels lower than M&M, but it wasn't bad either. The only problem was that I got chicken instead of steak. Restaurant: Aladdin's Mediterranean Cuisine Address: 912 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77006 What: ultimate shawarma (mix beef and chicken shawarma) Service: 10/10 Food: 9/10 Summary: a restaurant in the heart of Montrose. The Shawarma was really good, much better than Shawarma King. It was really filling too. Normally it would come with a side, but it didn't. Thankfully I was compensated with a free soda! I'd recommend this if you want some nice Mediterranean food and you live near downtown. Now the drive here from UH goes through the heard of the Third Ward. The best thing to do is to go onto 45, exit to Allen Parkway, then turn left onto Montrose. Then go a little bit ahead on westheimer, and then make a three point turn in the suicide (reversible) lane. Go past the signal, and turn into the parking lot.

Restaurant: Cafe Adel Address: 13110 FM 529, Houston, TX 77041 What: Cevap sandwich Service: 10/10 Food: 8/10 Summary: this is a Bosnian restaurant located at the intersection of FM 529 and Eldridge road. This sandwich was decent and very filling. The cevap itself was delicious, along with the kajmak (Bosnian cream sauce). Something that can improve is the bread. It was very dense. The purpose of making it less dense is to give a balance between the bread and meat. Service was wonderful. Everything was done with a smile and the people were friendly. Compared to Cafe Pita, this is a tad more expensive, but both serve decent food. Restaurant: Jerusalem Halal Meat Address: 3330 Hillcroft Ave, Houston, TX 77057 What: (top) kabsa, (bottom) squash stuffed with rice and ground beef Service: 8/10 Food: 8/10 Summary: Kabsa is the main dish from Saudi Arabia. I used to eat it when I lived there. Here, it was decent and filling. The stuffed squash was delicious though. There's no menu, so what you see at the counter is what is available today.
