my problem is i think every character concept can be improved by making them a little nonbinary. this has created a comically unrealistic concentration of People With A Weird Gender Thing Going On in my stories and i will not be stopping any time soon. im genders georg.

yeah i know its july . i planned topost these in june but i got LAZY and left em in my drafts and forgot. and now im here july ten twenty twenty six wow. yaay. wooooooooooo

i made these some time ago. i was doing a silly "putting the nonbinary flag behind legendary pokemon every day" and then i got lazy. i went from gen4 (most ofwhich you can see here, only ones i cant fit here are heatran and cresselia (who i still did even though they arent gender unknown thats not stopping me) (yes i excluded mythicals) up to somewhere in gen2 i think idk i'll have to check) buut like. yyyeah. i'll upload the rest when i'm feeling up to it

ohmygourd i just dont use this blog as often anymore.im afraid people might think im like dead or something similar. but like im still here dont worry. its just that my pokemon interests have been taken over by other things as of late. and also i dontlike school. i really dont. :0

Pokemon brain has returned

Is it just me or does Darkrai feel very disconnected from Cresselia? Like, sure, they both have dream powers and live on related islands, but that's about it. The lunar wing thing feels more like a coincidence that it happens to counter Darkrai, because, yeah, of course a talisman of good dreams would get rid of nightmares. It's like saying sylveon is directly related to dragonite just because fairy beats dragon.

Anyways, darkrai and cresselia are the only "legendary duo" that don't look alike at all, no connection in their designs whatsoever. Heck, they're the only "duo" that aren't even the same classification, Cresselia is a legendary and Darkrai is a mythical. The creation trio have better cohesion in their designs, and all three of them have completely different body plans.

And that wasn't even mentioning how differently Darkrai and Cresselia are treated with their in-game appearances and lore! They almost never have any correlation with each other when they're attainable in-game, and the only two times the two have ever been directly interacting in a story was once in the anime and in the pmd post-game, which, mAY I REMIND YOU, ARE THE TWO BIGGEST OUT-OF-CHARACTER MOMENTS FOR DARKRAI EVER.

Darkrai is almost constantly a misunderstood hero trying his best to help despite everything, while Cresselia is a tacked-on legendary that only ever appears when the writers make Darkrai out-of-character. What is this

i could repeat my claims and theories about how these two could be tied together but that relies on losing yourself in this legendary duo enough that you end up unable to go 5 minutes without thinking about them, searching for clues and hints that don't exist, or making stretches that feel like they're bound to snap. my simple guess is that they're meant to be complete opposites in almost every regard, being Bad Dream and Good Dream and all, but again that's just what i believe as someone who thinks about this duo way too much.

i believe theres actually something you missed though, season 2 of journeys actually has a two-parter revolving around darkrai and cresselia. i can't say if those were actually good episodes because i physically couldn't stop myself from always skipping to the parts cresselia and darkrai were in because i needed my scraps of content. uhh but i can tell you that darkrai was a misunderstood good guy, and cresselia kinda actually had a smidge of character. but my memory could've failed me on that.

i do wish cresselia had more of her own thing going on though. really feels like they're just pushing her off to the side to make room for darkrai and others. her competitive days have faded away, let her have her lore & character days now.. give her more spotlight in the general public's eyes...

my least favorite part of drawing darkrai of any sort is the red collar jaw thing. realized i could just. not draw that. proceeded to try to integrate the idea into TACM AU

also yes darkrai said that it didnt have a childlike phase or whatever bUT. darkrai memories (especially early darkrai memories) should NOT be trusted to be accurate. who knew half sleep-deprived half always-asleep creature half some-other-phase-of-being has some funky issues with its memories

Introduction (kinda)

Cresselia opened her eyes in response to the gentle whisper of her name, waking from her rest in the heart of Fullmoon Island. Though, when she looked around, it seemed that no one was there. Was the voice an illusion?

Though, there was something new in her vicinity. To her side was a small, pink, paper note, lying on the ground. It read:

"To Cresselia,

It's me, Spacefather, writing you this little warning. For some unknown reason which I just can't understand, Lord Arceus instructed Dialga and me to forge a small, multiversal rift on your island. Don't be scared - we made sure it was safe to be around, just don't mess with it too much. Apparently, there'll be beings from beyond the rift who'll approach you. Just stay on their good side as much as you can, and they'll leave without any harm done.

If anything with the rift goes wrong, don't be afraid to call me, Dialga, Giratina, or anyone else you know can handle these emergencies, okay? Stay safe.

Upon reading the note, she immediately rushed out into the island's forests - sure enough, after a bit of searching, she found the multiversal rift in a small clearing (which was not there before, either.) Cresselia stared at the rift for a while, before begrudgingly groaning to herself. Whatever. She just hopes for no trouble.

i drafted a little TACM thing meant for valentine’s day some time ago. but i never finished it. it’s about krai & vionne.

here’s a good lot of it. i dunno if i’ll finish it, but i’d like to someday..

what follows is probably not cohesive rambling because it's late at night and i'm not good with figuring out what words i should use to make the thoughts in my head clearer

i've been really thinking on how to say this without it feeling like "fork found in kitchen" thing. but. i'm just gonna try my best to keep it interesting. consider this an analysis of sorts!.???????

you guys know how darkrai wasn't supposed to go up to prism tower? how it absorbing this much mega power, causing hyperspace lumiose, and mega evolving, really shouldn't've happened and was most likely an accident of sorts? like. mega darkrai just shouldn't exist, right? because that is true and it seems to go so much deeper than just "darkrai accidentally absorbing a ton of mega power after taking a nap in prism tower" and i've like never seen anyone go deeper. maybe i just haven't seen it yet but. i still wanna talk about it anyhow so whatever listen to me ramble

ok so. kalos's entire thing is about balance and order and stuff. and then every big story in kalos is "humanity has in some way shape or form (probably stemming from AZ's mistakes) messed up the balance and made one side far too powerful, and now humans need to rebalance the mistake by making the too powerful side go back to being normal power." this idea very much translates well into mega dimension's story, where one half of the dream scale (darkrai), because of ange tower's mega power thing, gets way more powerful than the other side (cresselia who ISN'T EVEN THERE???), and then team mz and co. need to step in and save darkrai + put an end to the whole disaster. this wasn't supposed to happen, things would've been fine and normal, but. AZ's actions (domino effect-ish) ended up toppling over the scales, leading to this. mega darkrai really isn't supposed to happen because it's a product of the natural order of things being tampered with, which shouldn't happen. maybe i'm just repeating myself at this point so i'll try to move on

now when i look at mega darkrai. i don't exactly see anything that enhances or builds upon base darkrai. darkrai has a few notable features, like being akin to a scarecrow, being the new moon/moonless night - but in the mega evo, the former is essentially nowhere, and the latter is kind of referenced in either the second half of the boss fight or the dex entry. nothing of "true darkrai" is there, and i think that's because it's all been forcibly overtaken by mega power. that's not normal at all, so obviously darkrai's not gonna have any of its normalcy in such a form. it's just kind of. suffering. that's it. this isn't really much but. agian i just feel like theres something there i kind of just cant find the words half the time.

also cresselia really doesn't have one. none at all. like if this was possibly somehow supposed to happen and was just dormant then went out of control with darkrai. surely its just-as-important counterpart cresselia would also have a dormant mega evolution that she could use to help bring darkrai's mega evolution under control. but she's literally not there, and there's no hints of her also having a mega, so. yeah. based on logic, if cresselia doesn't have one darkrai's not gonna have one either. this is the obligatory cresselia mention to fuel my lunar duo fangirling

tldr mega darkrai is very not darkrai in any regard and is just another product of order in kalos getting messed up over and over. i think that's what all i've been saying leads to

anyways im ending this by saying that im currently manifesting the idea of lunar duo getting something special from a future gen's special gimmick, and THIS time the darkrai stuff will actually fit what we see of regular darkrai and expand upon it. and also give cresselia something cool that also fits what she is as of now and expand on the ideas in her design and lore (competitive players will hate to see her coming back into the mix). meow

maybe i made up these thoughts because i subconsciously wanted to explain why mega darkrai was like that to people who didn't exactly understand why mega darkrai was like that. not necessarily defend because i don't think there's a point in that. lore wise no one should be liking the physical iteration of a poor lil mon's suffering and im not gonna blame anyone who doesn't like mega darkrai because. yeah the points are incredibly valid i think. i'm just trying to say that those points were the point i guess. don't hurt me pls
