Being this close to him, all Briar could smell is the metallic tang of blood lingers in the air around them. Her stomach churns at the sight of another side of him, which she never dared to witness. It should’ve scared her and drove her away from him. Yet here she is, keeping a hand on the small of his back, as she watches the man downed the entire red liquid straight from the bottle. Her gaze flickered on his features as soon as he was done, but before she could stop him, he was already on his way to the door. He still seemed unsteady on his feet, but she could only guess it’s because the blood hasn’t kicked on his system. She was dumbfounded when he addressed about the way she look at him, a hint of a blush appears on her cheeks.
“–Just do me a favor. Stop being so bloody stubborn and let me help you, Zavie. For this once, please..”
She was scared, yes. Seeing him in his pool of blood before her almost bring the tears to her eyes, but she was more than willing to hold back any sign of emotions and focused on getting him away safely. Ignoring his words earlier, the blonde take a couple steps closer to him.
“–Now, which way? Upstairs?”
Zavier sighed heavily at the desperation in her voice to help him. Why was this human child so damn defiant with everything? Sometimes it was strangely admiring and other times it just got on his nerves. Right now he was sitting in the middle on what emotion to lean on. Be annoyed or become intrigued? He was too tired to decide or even fight her for that matter. The blood he just drank was ice cold so it festered through his body slowly to start the process of healing. “Fine.” He greeted his teeth through the pain in defeat. “Just help me up the stairs, will you?” He steadily approached her wrapping his arm over her shoulder to hold on so he wouldn’t fall over and freak the poor girl out even more. Each step after the other up the stairs cause soft groans to come from the vampire.
It had been awhile since he bit his last bullet. Maybe with his age the pain was less tolerable now. Once the made it to Ardan’s room Zavie couldn’t help but curl his lip in disgust towards his friend. He could only think of what joy he would get finding out that Bri was in his room. “Okay.. thank you.” He grunted making his way to the bed. “Guess my age is finally catching up with me...fuck.” He smirked slightly before leaning back on the bed. “Ahh damn it this hurts.” He breathed through his nose and closed his eyes. “Why don’t you come lay down? I’m sure you need some rest as well after all thats gone down tonight.” He opened his eyes and patted the bed. “I promise I won’t bite. I’ve already had my fix for the night.”
briar-williams:
She looked around for one last time before she pushed through the door, in order to make sure that none of the masked figured had followed them.
“–Don’t thank me yet, we still need to take care of your wound.”
She half dragged his limp body across the room. Even after he was seated at one of the stool, she was still reluctant to let go of him. From his labored breath, she knew that the wound wasn’t showing any sign of improvement. He must survive and get this through, she mused to herself. Suddenly, it struck her. She couldn’t even bear the thought of him dy– No. The weight of that word hangs heavy and unspoken, as if she was swallowing her tongue. Her mind spins at his order. Then, it all makes sense to her, about why he didn’t start healing. She pushed him gently and propped himself up against the counter, before she made her way behind the bar. Keeping an eye on him, she began to rummage the line of the glass bottle and found the one that he described. Picking up an empty glass and a napkin from one of the stations, Briar rushed to his side. She pours a glass of the red liquid and clutch the glass on his hand. She warily guides the tip of the glass against his lips, giving him the push to start drinking.
“–Here..”
Zavier couldn’t help but feel perturbed at the point when Bri brought the glass to his lips like a helpless toddler. He was perfectly capable of drinking a glass on his own yet he refused to make a remark towards her kindness. It was more than anyone else would do in this situation for him. In one huge gulp the thick red liquid was gone within the blink of an eye. He then slammed the glass down and hurriedly reached for the decorative glass bottle and brought it to his lips to chug. With it being cold it made his stomach churn in discomfort, but the need from his that craved it suppressed the disgusting chills running down his spine.
It was almost animal like the way he consumed it. Blood from the bottle flowed passed his lips and down his neck. Normally Zavier was much cleaner when it came to his feeding. He may have drank blood to survive but he wasn’t a savage. Once it was all gone Zavie slammed the bottle down feeling not fully satisfied, but at least his hunger was suppressed for now which was good for Briar’s sake. His body could focus on nothing but healing now. “God. That was disgusting.” He rose from the stool nearly stumbling since he was too stubborn to let her help him up. “We should lock the door and rest here for the night.” He spoke holding himself against the wall managing to get to the door they just entered through to lock it. “It’s safer here for you since I can’t do much right now to protect us both. Ardan has a room here you can sleep in for tonight. Come I can show you where it is.” He held onto his shoulder his breathing slowly regaining back to normal. “I’ll be okay go you can stop looking at me like I’m about to die. It’s gonna take more than a bullet to get rid of me.”
briar-williams:
Her train of thoughts was halted by the sound coming from the engine roars with each thrust. When she came to think of it, it’s a miracle, about how they could possibly able to find a way to escape from the chaotic scene and heading to the safest place that Zavie could think of. The grip of her hands tightened around the vampire’s waist, as they take a sharp turn on the stranded alley. The sight of the Crimson’s front door appears across from them and a soft sigh slipped from her lips. Washed by the sense of comfort brought by the familiarity of this very place, she manages to calm down, even for a bit. She swiftly climbs down from the back seat and draped her arm around the other’s hips, to lend some support. Her gaze warily trailed across his abdomen.
“–Hey, I got you. Now, now. Can you walk? Come on, I’ll help you.”
@zavierirving
His mouth was severely dry and his body felt frail to the point where he needed a tiny person like his fellow employee to latch onto so he could walk into the bar. One of the thing Zavier hated was appearing weak and pathetic in front of others. He despised that worrisome expression that defined her gentle features every time she looked over him. Briar should be be more worried about herself since she was dealing with a vampire who’s nearly lost half his blood from a gunshot wound. He was going to need blood to recover. Fresh blood would be preferred, but she was the only person around so he refused. He was afraid that one drop of fae blood could awaken his blood lust state and after that he wasn’t so sure he could stop himself from hurting her. “Thanks..” He uttered in a low begrudging tone as he shoved through the door along side her. It was a side of him she didn’t deserve since she was helping him right now, but Zavier was pissed for a severity of reasons. First of them being who in the hell would be so bold to shoot at an innocent girl and who the fuck did these people think they were messing with. Landing at the bar Zavie sat at the stool to rest for a moment. His breathing started getting heavier. “Behind the bar.. there’s a decorative glass bottle filled with blood.. reach back there and give me some please..” He groaned out that last part holding his side. “Hurry..”
vampardanism:
ZAVIER IRVING !
ardan lets out a cough, almost choking on his own blood before he spits into the path he was on — a patch of grass now splattered with a pretty shade of red. he stares at it, jaw clenched in frustration as he recalls what he’s been through for the past three days. in all his years of dealing with confrontations, this was the first time he’s barely made it out alive. what’s worse, something was wrong — he could FEEL that something was wrong. he was thankful for the darkness that hid his being from onlookers, not really in the mood to entertain anyone. letting out a shudder, he runs off into the night.
a few minutes and quite a distance later, he stood at an old gothic-looking building in the outskirts of the town he’s considered as home for a few years now. he lets out a coughing fit — choking sounds masked by the lively music and rumbustious chatter that emitted from the inside. he sighs after a while, resting a palm on the door. he made it.
he barges in without any further thought — the music and rowdy laughter ceasing as he enters. he feels eyes on him, ears picking up hushed whispers but he pays them no mind. the elder vampire stalks towards the bar, shrugging off his tattered coat and laying it on the counter before taking a seat on a stool — the other patrons who were nursing drinks on the counter scurrying off to find seats elsewhere. ardan couldn’t help but smirk at that. his eyes shift forward, letting out a pained chuckle as he eyes his dearest friend.
“ not a word until i get a drink, ” he pauses, tone sounding tired and quite resigned. “ a glass of gin, if you please. ”
( @zavierirving )
Tonight the bar was boisterous with music and chatter filling the entire room to it’s ceiling. Business was booming which was considered typically a good thing, but tonight Zavier was not in the mood to be dealing with stupidity when he had other obligations to be worried about. Unfortunately one of his bartenders called out last minute so he had to pick up the slack and deal. Which was something he was dread fully used to doing by now no thanks to his lovely boss and dear friend, Ardan Coldwell. The scent of blood was prominent in the thick musty smell of all the bodies lingering all in the crowded room, but Zavier refused to raise his head knowing all too well who’s scent that belonged to as he hobbled into the bar like some stray who’d been recently hit by a car and ran over again.
Biting the inside of his cheek he kindly helped the customer he was with when he heard the voice sending tingles down his spine. What a fucking prick. He sighed wiping out some gasses with a clean cloth. “No drink until I get a word.” He shot back with his eyes slowly peering up to him. Of course this was to be expected. This was Ardan he was dealing with. A man who calls this shit stained town a home but never stays long enough to make it one. “It looks like Satan used you as a wet wipe.” He said cocking his head to the side. “Mind telling me where you ran off to this time? Better be important enough for me to keep selling the shit you left behind.”
briar-williams:
“–Well, there is more to something than meets the eye..”
She implied, while stealing a glance of her employer from across the table. The fae quickly buried her face against the menu, distracting herself with the fancy dish, thus hiding her growing smile from the person in front of her. As it may seem, she had grown comfortable with his presence. Earlier today, Briar had braced herself for their bicker over trivial things, yet she had been disappointed. Zavier had been warmed to her, much to her surprise.
“–My father – he had his own wine cellar in our basement. He even bragged about it a lot to his friends. So, it’s only right that he taught his daughter a few basic knowledge about something that he like.”
She smiled fondly over the memory of her father.
“–So, will you tell me, then? What is it that you think of me, loosely from the first impression?”
Zavie smiled momentarily and shook his head at the girl’s comment before he went to look over the menu as well. He was continent around another person other than Amelia or Yeong-Rae for once out of this whole century. “Ah your father was a wine collector was he?” He glanced up from his menu interested with the story she was telling. “It seemed this man had a fare share of collections.” He smiled but then blinked at her question. “Well if you really wanna know the truth of my first impression of you we are going to have to put some wine in the both of us first.” He chuckled as the waiter came around with their bottle and poured their glasses. “Well...” He said picking up his wine glass to take a sip. “ Loosely I felt you were stubborn and annoying when you didn’t listen to me. I still feel a little of that but now that I get to know you your smart ass is kind of entertaining.” He smiled. “I can only imagine what you thought of me already.”
comfort || zavier & amelia
ameliaclifton:
amelia nodded her head. “hopefully so.” she nodded. selling v was something serious. she didn’t like to think of all the risks that zavier was in because of that business.
as he asked of Asher she nodded her head. “i’ve been told him and the pup aren’t seeing each other anymore.” she answered. “he’s been well though. i am trying to give him space at the same time. he picked up a job at the hospital so he has easy access to blood. which is smart.” she commented. her hands moved with his, feeling on the back his with her thumb and fingertips. he felt nice, and the comfort the simple action provided was melting. “I feel bad for distracting you from your work… I should let you get back to it.” she shook her head, feeling as though she had over stayed her welcome. standing up, she kept her hands on his, only letting go to wrap her arms around his torso for a hug. she held him in tight and let out a long breath after taking in his scent.
At the information Zavier nod and completely understood. A traumatizing and dramatic experience one such as Asher had to go through would change a person’s character. As far a Zavier was concerned he did the right thing or they did the right thing. Asher needed this to find who he is or he is going to be now. “I wouldn’t give him too much space. The boy is still a new born and he needs your guidance still.” He sighed. Amelia wanted to be a lot less baring like their maker and he understood why but Asher needed some ounce of control. “He might end up hurting someone if you both aren't careful.” He warned his younger half.
“Well maybe I need a little distraction from all this stress. Please stay a while. We haven’t talked in ages.” He wrapped his arms around her tiny frame almost lost in the comfort provided in her arms. The older vampire almost forgotten how easily it was for her to make him melt with her warmth and compassion. As he tilted his head back up over to look closely into her big brown eyes he knew all hope was lost to fight it. A hand came up softly to brush strands of her raven colored hair behind her ear. “I don’t wanna see you go.” He said biting his bottom lip wanting to draw her in closer. “Stay a little while longer?”

omxx-jaeki:
“Well, you’re the one standing in the fucking idiots apartment, huh? And your shits still safe.” He counters, his brows furrowing. he was forcing down all of the frustration, and agitation trying to maintain his usual act. Zavier chose to sell via him, and Jaeki had never let him down before, nothing had ever gotten back to the vampire, or Crimson. Jaeki reminded himself again that he’s the one that brought this on himself. Zavier’s anger was justified, he knew this and he was trying to keep that in mind as he licked his lips. He probably should have respected the warning, or more the threat. but Jaeki didn’t learn from his past, he snorts and jumps off his table, standing in front of Zavier again, their bodies only inches apart. He was intimidating, and the fangs made the hair on his arms stand up, “Yeah? What do you wanna tear up, babe?” He asked, leaning his face dangerously close. He knew full well this wasn’t the time for the comment, he knew it stood a good chance to push Zavier over the edge, but his impulses forced him to, “Hm? Is it me? ‘Cause I’m up for it.” He whispers, keeping his eyes steady, challenging.
“Don’t think I will.” He leans away, “There’s no respect here, between us, and that needs to change, yeah? I wanted a nice chat to work out our differences, but here we are. “ He says matter-of-factly, motioning between them, his fingers grazing Zavier’s chest. He then adds, “We can’t have a healthy relationship if you constantly make me feel unwanted, babe.” He rests his hip against the table, and licks his lips before continuing, he resists the urge to laugh, “Yeah, you never have time for my shit. The entire point right there.” He scoffs. The fact Zavier sent Yeong-Rae to deal with him every damn time. It was like the vampire forgot that the incubus was in a position of power, he sold his shit, and he could at least offer him some time of the day, “I have been. And, I found it rather curious to see her locked inside? Why is that, Zavier?” He tilts his head, “She’s feisty, yeah? But she’s really good company, though, we had a nice chat. It’d be a shame if something happened to her, after you so valiantly saved her, huh?” He says softly. His gaze was steady, his voice firm. He had no intention of doing anything to the girl, but he wanted Zavier to think that. The vampire needed to learn that he wasn’t someone who was going to be brushed off anymore. Especially considering how this conversation was headed. Perhaps if Zavier would have played with him for a little, he’d be nicer.
If he wasn’t so dead his blood would be boiling. Zavier was evenly composed when it came to his anger, but some how Jaeki knew the right buttons to push which were the wrong thing to do to him. His dark eyes lusting with purest form of anger anyone on this earth could muster peered right back into the ones challenging him. God, did he want to rip his fucking head off and satisfy his anger towards him momentarily, but he had to remind himself that Jae was good at what he does which was also fucking irritating because why the fuck did have to be him. “Oh I bet you are...” His voice rendered out in a low growl that conveyed every ounce of anger in his body.
His brow quirked at the mentioning of the word respect. Zavier was surprised since as long as he knew the little shit before him the vampire imagined Jae didn’t even know what the meaning of respect was. “If this was some elaborate bullshit scheme to have some heart to heart I would hope you are wise enough to consider the outcome when talking to me.” He quipped swatting the hand away from his chest, nearly wanting to break it. “I never have time for you because every interaction I’ve had with you is utter bullshit Jaeki. Don’t think I can’t see right through you.” He scoffed shaking his head. At the sudden mention of he employee his face had fallen into a deeper somber expression. So badly he wanted to shove him against the wall and plunge his fangs into his throat and let him bleed out since the taste of his blood wouldn’t be worth drinking. He couldn’t show that anger and reveal a more vulnerable side. “First of all stay the fuck out of mt office.” He folded his arms over his chest glaring at the boy. “Secondly you would dare want to touch someone who works for me. I can guarantee you’ll even regret thinking it.” He said trying to call his bluff. He know Jaek had connections and he wasn’t going to lie to himself and say that worried him a little.
Shattered Expectations
familiarphantom:
“Oh so blondie can take a nap but I can’t? I see how it is. Clear favoritism I’m telling you.” Flicking his eyes over to Zavier’s face he musters a grin. “Did you get him?” It was pathetic. He knew that. Laying here so helpless. He wouldn’t blame the other if this was a pushing point in the future to try to get him to stay behind. It was something that would be reasonable of Zavier to ask. If the situations were switched… or if it was one of his brothers. He would force them to remain in a safe location. Pushing against the ground he tries to lift his weight. Hovering slightly before his hand slips in the mud and his body is once more on the ground. “I deserve a whiskey after this.” He muses quietly trying to lighten the mood. He wonders if he’s just filling the silence because he doesn’t want the reality to settle in.
He reasons that even if Zavier hadn’t gotten the other tonight. He’d find him. Rae fully believed he would be able to. And if he wasn’t, Rae would hire someone to find him. It was his mistake to rectify. And he was going to make sure that it only ended up an error. A simple slip. Because he wasn’t sure what would happen if Ardan found out about what happened. Who would be at fault? Rae would probably take the fall. He wouldn’t let Zavier for something that wasn’t his fault. Softly exhaling he shakes his head. As if the action can get rid of the thoughts that were swimming there. He was two-hundred and sixteen years old, and yet he still couldn’t let his mind calm down entirely.
Letting a laugh pass his lips he shuts his eyes. “Y’know old man, I know it’s tradition to buy someone a drink when they’re down in the dumps. But I’m pretty sure the drink isn’t supposed to come from your body.” Opening an eye he hums quietly before breathing in through his nose. This sucked. Showing weakness. Being vulnerable in front of someone. It didn’t matter how well they knew each other. He was stalling, and he knew it. There wasn’t another option. He couldn’t just get up and walk out of the woods. He was sure the person slipped when they lunged at him. The pain in his side was telling him that was the most likely situation.
Looking at Zavier he shakes his head softly exhaling. He hums quietly again shutting his eyes. He wasn’t sure if it was because of the rain, or the wound. But his eyes felt heavy. Perhaps he needed to get more sleep during the night hours. “We can’t exactly head to the hospital, and I don’t see any other way.” Nodding his head slightly he opens his eyes once more. He hated hospitals, they always seemed to have the smell of death clinging to the walls. Turning his head to look at Zavier, Rae knits his brows. He knew if the roles were reversed… or if it had been anyone he cared about he would make them stay in a safe location after this happened. “Alright. Fuck it. Yes.”
Zavier rolled his eyes with a slightly amused grin toward the familiar's typical sarcasm. “Leave it to you to make light of situations as these.” It was refreshing to have someone with such a calm nature in these intense situations. Anyone else in their right mind would be flipping their shit right now but thankfully that was not Rae. His eyes searched over his expression trying to read through his sarcasm to see what true pain his partner was experiencing. Through his stone expression Zavie wouldn’t openly admit it, but his heart was aching with worry. A soul that didn’t let himself become attached to much the vampire could help the bond that formed between them after these many years. Rae was the son he never had in a strange way of explaining his relationship with the boy.
“We’ll get you drinks when you are healed Whiskers...” He remarked with a unamused tone. He was seriously hurt and the scent of his blood thickened the air only making the vampire ache. It was hard to control urges with this much pouring out of him, but thankfully he was old enough to have some restraint. He knew Rae was internally struggling with his sense of pride and thought he might of let Zavier down but that was quite the opposite. He was proud he even still tried to fight considering the wound. “I know this isn’t exactly ideal but it’s either that or die and you won’t want me to have to choose for you. Once Rae showed some reasoning Zavier smirked shaking his head. “You’ll thank me later.” He chuckle holding his wrist over the boy’s mouth so his blood dripped onto his lip and his tongue.
Once Rae took for what he thought was enough to heal him Zavier effortlessly scooped the taller male in his arms. He needed to bring him out of the rain and keep him somewhere safe until the storm let up. He couldn’t take the chance of them being ambushed while the other male was still free. Back in the abandoned home Zavie place the injured boy cautiously on the old dusty couch before walking around the room in search of a liquor cabinet or something. In what was left of the kitchen he found what happened to be an old bottle of gen hiding in the years of settled dust in an open cabinet. “Here.” He tossed it in the other’s lap as he took a seat beside him. “Promised a drink to the winner.” He smirked and the thunder continued to roll in the distance. “Don’t give me that face. I’ll take care of the other. He won’t get away from us that easily.”
xx-jinsol:
Jin-Sol wonders briefly how Zavier manages an establishment when he can’t even fake a good enough smile. He knew it was probably just how the other man was, he didn’t seem too social, but the fake smile made him feel a little bad. Like maybe he shouldn’t have taken the offer, like he was a bother. he decides he’ll try and be quick, that way if he is a bother Zavier won’t have to deal with him much longer. Even so he had to admit Zavier’s touch was a lot more cold than he was expecting. He ignores the glances from the people within Crimson.
He sighs stepping in and looking around, “The strongest thing you have.” He replies, turning to face him, “I could drink an entire bottle of vodka to myself after tonight. So something with that is fine.” He stuffs a hand in his pocket, “I won’t take too much of your time.” He assures him, before stepping into the bathroom. He leaves the door cracked, just so he can pay attention to anyone moving in, or outside of Zavier’s office. He didn’t like making snap judgements about people, but the guy who attacked him worked here. So Jin was on edge. Once inside, he slide his jacket off, his shirt following. The good news was nothing was dislocated or bleeding. He felt around his shoulders, just to double check. He was just covered in bruised. Especially where his fingers had dug into his skin. Jin felt a bit helpless looking at himself, how beat he looked. The stress and anxiety of the night finally catching up to him.. His lip quivered, but he sniffed, ignoring the burn in the corners of his eyes. He ripped a paper towel off the roll and wet it, scrubbing at the blood. He was reckless, scrubbing much harder than he needed to. He was mad at that guy, at himself for being fucking helpless, at Zavier for fucking rescuing him. He scrubbed too hard, the wound on his lip opened again. Jin groaned, and squeezed his eyes shut, his grip on the rim of the sink tightening. With a groan he looks back up at himself, wiping his eyes dry, and pressing a new part of the towel against his bleeding lip.
“You got it.” Zavier gave the taller male a curt nod and a half smile before he descended into the bathroom. “Nonsense take your time.” Zavier shrugged not finding himself really bothered by the other’s presence anymore. The slight scent of his blood put him a little on edge, but the thing that was bothering him the most was that damn employee attempting to use the boy as a god damn caprisun. After poring them both a drink he sighed frustratingly through his dark locks. The shit he had to deal with when Ardan was away. Then again it was the same shit he always had to deal with when his boss was here or not. He patiently waited for the boy to come out of the bathroom sitting at his desk with his fingers folded together. “Come have a seat and relax.” He said in a hushed tone. “I fixed your glass. Sorry it’s not the whole bottle.” The vampire chuckle licking his lips as he saw the cut on his lips once more. “Now tell me a little about yourself.. Jin was it? Can’t say I’ve seen your face around here before. Are you new to Asteria?”

“Such a shame… But it works out well.” Turning his gaze to the two he smiles. “I remember, in the olden days. They had their hands removed…. Then again. People were also burned alive in those days.” Softly sighing he shakes his head looking between Zavier and the two. He couldn’t understand it. Was it the thrill of the possibility they’d be caught? There was a good thing going before they tried this. For a little something extra on the side, they deemed it worthy to ruin that good thing. They seemingly though nobody would find out. That they could sweep it under the rug. As if there would be no consequence. As if the monster posing as a man, that had a thrill for showing up unannounced would never catch wind of what happened. “If you dislike your first choice, you have the second as a backup.” Pointing between the two he turns to Zavier. Eyes following their forms as they rush out of the door. “Now… Why did they have to do that…?” Scoffing Yeong walks to the door himself a small laugh escaping his lips. “We both know who’s going to find one first.” He comments stretching his arms above his head with a grin. Climbing the steps, he cracks his knuckles. Working behind the bar was fun. He enjoyed it. But being out here, stretching his legs. He enjoyed that as well. “You’ll have fun waiting for me I’m sure.”
“Possibly but you’ve surprised plenty of times before.” A fond smile crossed his lips as he allowed his companion a head start. Thunder from the storm brewing outside rattled the decrepit house. It was a wonder the entire thing was standing in one piece. Letting out a deary sigh walking to the door frame letting a few more seconds pass before picking up his feat to lead him out the door. The scent of Rae and the other’s still clung to the area. Zavie had complete trust in Rae that he was capable of handling the the task of capturing a runaway. In fact he was confident he would. With no worry to hold him back the vampire traveled into the thick brush following the scent of the other that got away.
Flashes of light lit the areas where the heavy shadows lingered in the storms wake giving Zavier a better view to see his thief hiding in the darkness. There was a faint scent of blood telling him that they must have fallen and hurt themselves while trying to get away. The closer he got the more his fangs ached to rip them apart. There was nothing more than Zavier hated than traitors. Such spineless and heart less beings with no sense of loyalty. Maybe that made him a hypocrite in some sense with his maker but every part of him felt right for crossing her. A loud roaring bang shattered over the sky as he nearly reached out for their shoulder as the heavy scent of something familiar made him stop in his tracks. “Fuck..” Without hesitation Zavier allowed the other to flee as he went full speed to aid his friend.
The smell of his blood grew thicker the closer making him worry all the more. Just what in the fuck happened to him? Arriving at the scene he noticed Rae spilling from the side as the other male approached the helpless soul with the flash of the dagger in their hand. The sky cried a few drops before it started to pour. Zavier lunged behind the man, placing his hands on both sides of his head and making a rather loud snap with his neck. The body dropped like a wet rag as it crashed against the ground.
His fangs throbbing at the scent of his blood Zavie crouched looking over him with eyes conveying a shade similar to what spilled from him. “No. He’s kinda taking a nap right now.” He placed a hand over his wound to place pressure. “Also what have I told you about lying down on the job?” He cracked a smile hiding his worry before moving more to a serious expression. “Not going to lie this isn’t looking good. You’re going to have to drink.” He took his wrist and bit into it letting the blood trickle down his arm. “Are you alight with that?”

xx-jaeki:
Jaeki tilts his head, his smirk fading slightly. He knew how pissed the vampire was going to be. He just needed to play calm, well as calm as he could. Zavier could easy sense his fear, or nerves. He sighs through his nose, and places a hand on his hip, “Mm, struck a nerve.” He says softly, his gaze flickers, his mood shifting. “Your shit will be sold, I’m not a fucking idiot. I may act like one, but I have it hidden well.” He walks away from the other and pulls his fridge open, taking out two beers. He sets one on the table beside Zavier, not at all expecting him to drink it, but the offer is there. “Tear this place to shreds and you won’t find it, even with that nose.” He jumps up sitting on his table as he twist the cap off the bottle.
He takes a long drink, groaning at the cheap taste, “What I’m doing is talking to you, one on one.” He shifts his gaze, perhaps he’s a bit too pissed with how the conversation going, “Watch your fucking tone, old man, you might wanna be a little nicer to me.” He spits, his brows furrowing. Really, he brought this on himself, but something about Zavier did things to Jaeki. It pissed him off, the normal calm composition breaking, it was also kind of hot, though. That was besides the point, “I just wanted to let you know I met your friend…Briar.” He brings the beer to his lips, pulling from it, long and hard. He sighs afterward, normally Jaeki would crack grin here, but he wasn’t feeling as playful as he normally would, “She’s cute, yeah? You’re hiding a pretty thing in that office.” He drums his nails on the glass, his eyes on the bottle, “Why did you never introduce me? Mm? I had to do my own digging.”
Zavier’s seemingly burning glare shifted into something that conveyed his boiling frustration and anger towards the fucking incubus. “Really because sending me a fucking message saying you’re holding my shit sure as hell makes you a fucking idiot.” The vampire snapped with a growl. Tensions were high enough when dealing with this fucking shit. It was only a matter of time til the trail he was constantly attempting to erase would eventually catch up to him. When or that would happen he would be sure to take the fall for everyone involved. He couldn’t forgive himself if harm were to come of them because he chose to deal with Ardan’s mess. “The place isn’t what I wanna tear apart Jaeki.” He warned with the click of his fangs.
“You might wanna catch your tongue talking to me like that boy.” Exactly who in the fuck did this little shit think he was talking to? Zavier nearly had the nerve to rip his head off. The more he talked the more the vampire over rationalized letting him live, but then dying would be too easy of a punishment for Jaeki. Maybe scaring the absolute shit out of him would suffice. At the mentioning of Bri the older male kept his composure unmoved. Though it pissed him off to hear her name roll off his tongue. “What about Briar? Have you been in my office?” He decided then and there he would have to have a chat with her about later. “Cut the fucking bullshit Jae and tell me what you’re getting at. I don’t have time for your shit.”

“–Most people see it as a self satisfaction. It’s just another form of mundane expression, while we wore a right attire to a right occasion. Besides, it’s nice to dress up a little.”
Her lips curved into a hint of a smile, as her eyes manage to catch the smile that appears on his features. Another rare occurrence, in which she will savor for as long as he allowed her to.
“–I beg to differ. You looked great, though.”
She assured with a smile – however, a short lived one, as soon as she realized what she just said. She was afraid she had overstep the boundaries between the two of them, simply with her compliment, thus why she had opted to keep her mouth shut for the rest of their journey. Thankfully, they made it to the restaurant and was taken to their table. As she skimmed through the menu, she shot him another glance upon noticing the smirk that was sent on her way.
“–I’ll have a rosé, please.”
She looked at their server and then returned her gaze back to the vampire.
“–Satisfied?”
The vampire quirked his brow with a peaked interest while he settled in his seat by crossing one leg over the other. It appeared as though this fae named Briar was certainly full of surprises. The kind of surprise that made him take a step back and rethink his thoughts of her before. As clueless as she was of the world around her Bri managed to still fight back without showing hesitation or fear. As annoying as it was the older man found respect to her from that. Timid natured people always found a way to irk him in some ways, but the kind that had a backbone bother him a little less. Maybe this was what Ardan sensed when he went ahead and hired the poor girl. To set a companion that could go toe to toe with him on a daily basis.
“Maybe a little more taken aback than satisfied.” He smirked tilting his heat to the side. “You don’t strike me as the type to drink so forgive me for assuming.” He shrugged. “You just seem I dunno.. innocent to me.”

comfort || zavier & amelia
ameliaclifton:
amelia smiled widely as she took the needed glass from him. “thank you.” she took a long sip before letting out a long breath. the burn it provided was only a quarter of the hunger that had burned her for the last couple days.
the vampire tilted her head followed with a sound of disapproval. “no, zavier. you’ve done nothing wrong. no reason for you to feel guilty.” she squeezed his hand back hoping that it’d be able to reassure him. she didn’t want to make this about how lonely she was. she simply wanted to talk to him. “you’ve had a mess to clean up. i can’t possibly blame you for anything.” her eyes locked with his, trying to convey just how sorry she wished he wouldn’t be. “how do you plan on cleaning up the V mess?” she asked curiously bringing the glass back to her lips. “it’s not a stain that’s easily lifted.”
His eyes watched as her gentle fingers squeezed his hand softly simply providing that sense of comfort he could only allow himself to feel from her. Zavier had roamed this earth with her along side him long enough it would take a tremendous amount of effort to disappoint her. Though a slight part of his heart weighed with guilt. He was so wrapped up in this mess his boss created he didn’t once stop to think how Ardan’s disappearance affected Amelia. “Still cleaning it up actually. Getting out of the v selling business is an extremely difficult task once you’ve started.” He explained knocking back a sip of his drink to shake his nerves. “Uh.. selling out the last shipment he ordered for. Hopefully I can deny anyone who offers me to sell more.” He shook his head with a look of disdain.
Looking to his old companion Zavie smiled tracing his thumb over hers thinking he missed how soft her skin was. It had been a while since he thought about anything like that with her at all. “So? Tell me. What is it you have been doing other than this loneliness you speak of. How’s the new born coming along? He’s got you and that pup to keep him straight right?”

xx-jaeki:
Perhaps it was petty. But Zavier was the one who never wanted to see him. Don’t misunderstand–he was never disappointed when Yeong-Rae wandered into his shop. But after he found a creature as interesting as Briar–Jaeki only wanted to speak to his vampire. The last time Yeong showed up with the stock Zavier had him sell, Jaeki accepted it. Did he sell it, though? Hah, no. Which was a dangerous move. But it would get the old man’s attention. He sent him a text, something like, ’u want ur shit sold you have 2 come 2 my place. i miss u, we need to talk.’ and he of course accompanied that with the appropriate heart emojis. Now he just waited.
Time had passed, not much, but enough for Jaeki to make his own plans for the night. So, the loud knock on his door shocked him and those plans. The soft gasp of fear under him caused his lips to upturn into a smirk. He leans back and pulls the shirt he discarded earlier over his form, he walks to his door frame, where the front door of his apartment is visible. “Come in.” He calls, folding his arms over his chest. As Zavier form comes into view he smirks, he sinks back into his room, and glances at the girl on his bed. “Another time.” He shrugs, approaching her and wrapping his fingers around her wrist, “Get dressed, and go home.” He commands, loving the way her eyes gloss over she moves to do as he says. He stays with her, leading her out of his room, and giving Zavier a dark look as he walks her to the door. He shuts and locks it once she gone. Then, he spins on his heel and approaches the old man, “Deserts come early.” He sings, invading Zavier’s personal space like he does best. He sets a hand on the table near Zavier’s hip and leans close, loving that they’re the same height. His eyes are dark and hooded with lust, “Hey, baby, you came at the best time, wanna play a little before we get into the real shit?” He offers, teasing.
@zavierirving
Annoyed was an understatement. Beyond and incredibly pissed the fuck off was more of an accurate description of how the vampire felt towards the incubus. Not only did he directly choose not to sell his stash of v, but Jaeki thought it would considerate to text him personally thinking that it would get his attention. To which it did and that fact pissed him off all the more. He didn’t have time to play fucking mind games like this was some piety high school drama when there was so much heat riding on his back already. He needed this shit sold and out of his hands as quickly as possible. Zavie was sure to make no trace of it was left in his possession, but of course he should have expected this when dealing with his least favorite person Jaeki.
The night crawled into the day as Zavie made his way over to the incubus’s home. He walked over to his door calm and collected however he still felt like at any moment he could snap. Without a word Zavie steps in carefully observing the room he was currently standing in. That serious look of his as the girl stepped out of the room irked the vampire all the more. Now he wanted to be taken seriously. Biting the inside of his cheek it took nearly all of his strength not to slap the piss out of that smug ass smile off that smug ass face. “Don’t fucking antagonize me more than you already have Jae.” He grumbled stepping back to reclaim some personal space. “What the fuck do you think you’re doing? I don’t like playing these games with you.” His voice raised slightly. “Why isn’t the shit sold when I told you to have it gone by last week.”
