Kew Gardens Poster - Shillington College Student Brief This is probably one of my favourite projects from college!  The brief was simply to create something with your hands and use it for either a book, poster, CD cover or whatever else you may like.  As I am a big fan of Kew Gardens, I decided to design something colourful and beautiful to use as a poster for them. I have used foam sheets and cutted each single piece individually. It was hard work, but definitely worth it! Hope you like it! :)

Client - Cisco  Brief - Corporate Report Design  We were asked to design a clean cover only with graphical elements i.e. no images, and an inner spread which included statistics and was relatively text light.  I have designed my own typeface for the front cover masthead and main headings using part of the logo to create each letter.  The report had to represent the company's main values and ways of working - playful, clean, environmentally friendly.

Try this free pattern to make the Moby Scarf for a bold winter statement piece - they do say go big or go home. :)

YOU WILL NEED:

3 balls of WATG’s Crazy Sexy Wool

2 poster tubes - 8 cm/3” diameter, 94 cm/37” long (available from stationery shops)

2 empty yarn cones (like the ones WATG’s Jersey Be Good yarn comes on)

1 roll of duct tape

HOW TO MAKE YOUR NEEDLES:

Step 1:

Start by taping an empty yarn cone to each poster tube - this forms the pointy tips of the knitting needles.

Step 2:

To make your needles smooth, and allow the yarn to slide more easily across them, wrap tape around the rest of the poster tube as well.

HOW TO MAKE YOUR MOBY SCARF:

Step 1:

Holding three strands of yarn together, cast on 20 stitches using the cable cast on technique. Follow this video here to watch video.

Step 2:

Work 4 rows in stocking stitch. Click here to watch video.
