She knows it's the kitchen because the walls are tinny, hollow. It takes a concentrated effort to spring from its bed and hobbles toward the source of the sound. 

Apollo uses the candlelight as a microphone, performing for an empty audience. It reminds Ruri of the many dates they went on before their marriage. It didn't wear its glasses to bed, and now Apollo is...

"Be quiet," Ruri whispers. "You're going to wake up Nova."

Apollo giggles, a soft sound that makes Ruri hide her face in embarrassment. Even after so long, it still can't resist such an instinctive action. 

"Aw, are you worried about me?"

Ruri folds one hand over the other.
