Meditating on His Word

I don’t know about you, but when I read this text, I realize I can often be like Thomas. Last night I was reading this text along with chapter 15. I was reading along and when I got to Thomas and Phillip, it’s like I had never even read this text before. I was asking God the very same question as I read along: “How can we know the way?” And when I read those words said by Jesus, “I am the way, I am the truth and I am the life.” I was caught off guard, amazed and I started to cry. For some reason this touched me like it never has before and I understood where Thomas and Phillip were coming from in a mere natural man view but I also knew exactly what Jesus was saying and I knew him and what he was saying as the TRUTH! He refreshed and renewed my heart. I love where Jesus says, “From now on you do know him and have seen him.” and “the Father who dwells in me does his works.” So much glory and truth! Thank you Lord for drawing me closer! I literally felt like I had that child like faith. Oh to sit in His presence with His word and marvel at His majesty! What a beautiful, complex and mind blowing God He is!

“"Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.
