In case you didn’t have enough pain yesterday, this is the goodbye scene from the 2006 Jane Eyre.

Like AOJE, it also comes kind of out of the blue, because it’s done as a flashback long after Jane has left Thornfield. 

I remember watching and thinking, “Darn you Sandy Welch, you left out the goodbye scene one of the best scenes in the book. I wanted to see that and now – oh. Here is it. And it’s a lot sexier than I remember the book being. But not complaining.”
