The way I do linework now is definitely the least efficient and most time consuming way I've ever done it, but I do enjoy carving clean lines out of messy sketches. I feel like the flow and intention of my sketches actually carry over this way too, no more "the sketch looked better" feeling.

☆Fish in a Birdcage☆

WIP of some actual story related City Rising art for once! Taking place in what'd be somewhere in the first five chapters, it's more to do with Hiro's feelings towards school that I mentioned in this post. In CRAU canon, his high school only has this window style for hallways and larger areas, but I'll break whatever I want for the sake of creating the image of a birdcage for symbolic imagery. I'll get more into this one when it's finished.

You're so right for that honestly.

In the Marvel comics, both Big Hero 6 and Miles Morales as Spiderman exist on Earth-616, while Pavitr Prabhakar exists on Earth-50101. HOWEVER, Disney's Big Hero 6 exists in it's own universe, Earth-14123 where, given the existance of San Fransokyo, it's entirely possible a version of Mumbattan does infact exist and that's pretty rad.

#In my personal headcanon expanded universe Miles Morales is the canon Spiderman in 14123 BUT #you are onto something

The power of proper psych meds and approaching housing stability can NOT be understated. Felt so good lately that a bug crawled in my ear at 1am this morning and now I have the entire first arc of City Rising roughly outlined by chapter. Gonna tweak it some more today and with that I should start scripting next week! Super excited man I've wanted this AU out so badly it's my baby.

Behold, the method to my madness as written in my notes app while half asleep

There's a small handful of chapters missing from these notes that have more minor events going on, and part two is so straight forward I could probably just start scripting off that. Also, the blocked out notes are events unique to CR that range from notably different execution to completely new, and/or CR story specific. I really should make a post elaborating on what I consider to be "spoilers" for City Rising.
