Cherry Music + Eva = Bad Times Ahead

So I watched the preview of 3.0+1.0 and just like the finales of series I invest in beforehand noticed two big red flags.

1: Rei 2 is out of Unit 1. People are speculating it's Yui but it's definitely Rei. Red eyes and blue hair gave it away.

2: Gendo has f*cking Unit 1! How are people not freaking out about this?! The Wunder literally uses it to operate. Hell that's the first thing 3.0 opens up with: retrieving it and Shinji from space.

P.S. Can we finally find out what Mari's deal is? She can pilot Unit 2 (which is as picky as Unit 1 in who it let pilot. And no, I'm buying the whole hacked thing). I'm still going with Demo's theory of her being Shinji's and Asuka's daughter given her interactions with both (telling Shinji to get his sh*t together at the end of both 2.0 and 3.0, her teasing of Asuka after she goes to visit Shinji and also the whole Unit 2 thing in 2.0)

Red hair, red bow, red shoes, and a ponytail. All signs are screaming "yes!" but my mind and heart are saying "no". Hopefully she can prove she's not the mary sue she's written to be. Or Makoto 2.0. Or a self Insert. Still miffed she'll play a part in "saving" detective daddy issues. That's unforgivable.

I will never understand the hate for Terra. He trusted Xehanort because Eraqus and wizard who named spelled backwards is disney gave no reason not to. And both knew of his ulterior motives (especially the former). Also he tells Aqua to both "put an end" and "forget about" him so Xehanort wouldn't get his way.

Yet Riku, who we all agree was an dick in KH1 gets a pass.

I stand with Terra.

Shield Hero

Boy I could gush about this series and tell you to watch/read it. But I've already did a yt vid so...

I remember picking it the same time I picked up MHA(way before it blew up to where it is now). And it feels good others get to see what makes it good too.

I've been heavily skeptically whenever a series I like gets adapted (looking at you My GF Is A Gal and Love Tyrant -_-) but I've enjoyed every episode so far. The only other time I felt like this was during DxD Hero (which will get it's own post soon).

Also Glass is best girl. Sorry not sorry Raphtilia and Firo fans (I still like them mind you).

KH3 Hot Takes

Look I'm all for opinions in criticizing something you love but the stuff of how much a "disappointment" KH3 ended being is up there with Persona 5 how it was treated after launch.

Is it a masterpiece? No. It has flaws. Magic is still op. The overall game is easy even on proud. And the pacing towards the end could have been handled better. Also the union cross info drops annoyed me personally.

Was the conclusion unsatisfying? Imo no. I enjoyed the closure we got for characters who we won't appear in future games. Namely Flower Power, OG Best Girl, and Finest Fantasy 13. I cried during the end game and the ending ffs.

I wasn't looking for a perfect conclusion at all. I went in blind and had a fun time as the game is tied with KH2FM as my second favorite in the series (BBSFM is first and is holding on to that top spot).

Again P5 was praised for being years in development and worth the wait while the hot takes were the same KH3 (and any long-term developed game at this point).

Moral of the story: Don't let your expectations ruin your experience. I didn't like how FF15 was changed from Versus but fun can still be had playing it. Especially for newcomers.

Going Into KH3 Like (Aftermath)

Called who the Chirthy belonged to and the new villain after Xehanort.

Namine and Eraqus finally show up. Good on them.

They went Heaven's Lost Property in terms of how the finale played out.

Another group of people I yelled about show up.

TerAqua. I got a hug and a line that fitted them to the tee.

Sokai was feels the entire time. Especially during the end-game.

This is literally the most I've cried during the endgame in the entire series save BBS.

10/10 Would love to be emotionally and mentally exhausted again.

P.S. Petty Nomura is now my new favorite Nomura.

P.S.S. Getting the bs emblems gets you a broken item and breaks the game even more if you chose the staff.

Won't go into details but suffice to say Riku was right in getting upset with the mouse and optismticlly foolish old man on going back for her earlier.

How KH3 Ending Can Go

Look it's either going the Heaven's Lost Property route of "bad things happen. Do the thing to fix it but everyone still remembers the bad thing happening". Or it can go End of Evangelion route of "bad things happen. Do the thing to fix it but the aftermath is still there".

Also calling it Braig or Marluxia end up being set up as future villains.

Wildcard prediction: Ansem the Wise ends up being a villain.

Replaying 1.5 and 2.5 Be Like

Ugh I forgot how platform heavy KH1 was. Not to mention how annoyingly slow it is to grind and get synthesis materials.

On the bright side, I beat Dragon Maleficent without Tinkerbell and only died to Ansem-Riku 3 times. Oh and f*ck the gargoyle or whatever boss fight. That was a numb waiting game.

COM thanks for making me appreciate you more each playthrough. Spent every level up on CP and Sleights. Even got to use cards and sleights I haven't gotten the first time through. Combat was fun and every boss that gave me trouble I either took a break from or slept on it and won.

Days should have been remade a game. Period. I loved being able to play as the other members.

KH2 well you have so much I want to say. I still hate Pirates (Luxord and Larxene being the only reason I like it storywise), Tron was ugh, same for timeless river. I just wanted to sing under the sea in Atlantica. I muted the rest I kid you not (I can see why Yoko didn't like that world).

Why did people diss the puzzle pieces? You get cool sh*t doing those. Also Stitch is an OP summon. Never bothered with them in my first playthrough. Limit is still my favorite new addition next to the christmas town clothes.

Going Into KH3 Like

Where the f*ck are Namine and Eraqus?! Seriously we still don't know what the deal with Eraqus is since his heart went into Terra's.

And we've seen everyone san Namine in the trailers so far. She's literally the one who told Sora of these people he has to save.

Speaking of Terra, how is he being saved? Terranort is literally fighting lingering will again.

What's the deal with the Chirthy? Is it Ven's or another union leaders?

Which ship will sail? Sokai is glaringly obvious, I'm hoping for some TerAqua stuff personally (a hug, a slap, a kiss, or hand holding will work for me). Also RikuShi because that's as strong as my TerAqua ship.

What lies ahead? Obviously Nomura is confident in the ending and plans for future games but who can top Xehanort?

Dude is no lie one of my favorite Villians next to Hazama from Blazblue.

Some of this stuff may or may not be answered but hey I'm just going to enjoy the game regardless.
