hi everyone i hate to do this but i need help moving out of my house (i move out saturday, august 1!! so excited). i thought my parents would help me, but they are not (recap: they cut me off financially because i donated to blm) and i am receiving less shifts from my work at a restaurant due to COVID-19. I was scheduled for two days next week. i filed for unemployment a few weeks ago but i have heard nothing back. i also just recently paid for a semester at my school which was 3.4k. now, i need help for moving costs. anything i receive that is extra i will donate to another charity for the movement and i will show the receipt! i need help with moving trucks + a little bit of rent.

i babysat the sweetest little girl who was in a hot pink wheelchair. it was almost brand new, and she was just so excited to finally have a good wheelchair!! the day i walked into the house after sheād gotten it, she wheeled over to me with the biggest smile and saidĀ āit doesnāt hurt my back anymore!!ā
for her birthday, i got her a barbie doll who looked a lot like her (it was the one with vitiligo) and a little barbie wheelchair and a few other accessories because who doesnāt like accessories?
apparently sheād had a white doll for a while and of course loved her doll but when she saw not only the one with vitiligo but also the wheelchair? and she put that little doll into the wheelchair and pushed her around a bit on the table? she looked up at me and burst into tears, grinning from ear to ear, and murmured to meĀ āsheās like me. i didnāt know there were ones like meā and lemme tell you i nearly broke down right then and there and i gave her the warmest smile and hug i could muster up and her parents called me a few months later (iād stopped babysitting because they didnāt have money to pay and wouldnāt allow me to babysit for little/free like i offered because i knew they both were searching for jobs and couldnāt be around their kid much bc interviews) and they just thanked me, their daughter wasĀ āso happy to have a doll like her that she carried the barbie around with her all the timeā. they hadnāt been able to afford the doll and were actually saving up for a wheelchair at least.
this isnāt overkill.
this is giving kids a doll like themself. this is showing them that they arenāt weird or irregular or not normal. this is showing kids that others who are different from them, others who do have a prosthetic or a wheelchair or dark skin or vitiligo, that those kids arenāt weird. if a little girl sees a barbie in a wheelchair, sheāll just thinkĀ āoh thatās my friend!!ā and be exposed to the fact that theseĀ ādifferentā kids are kids too, friends and acquaintances and not people to be mocked or bullied.

THE TENDERNESS INVOLVED IN HOLDING YOUR PARTNERS HAND, IN BEING CONSIDERATE OF THEIR SPACE, IN MAKING SURE THEY FEEL SAFE AND LOVED. iām not going to go as far as saying stop having able bodied people sit on top of their disabled partners but know iām disabled and would never consider it. i would absolutely get hurt
i hold the same viewpoint on able bodied partners carrying their disabled partner for no reason. my body is a fragile thing, easily broken. it has to be protected even from people with the best intentions. meet me at my level instead of taking me to yours

This is really not okay.
I think some people fail to realize that men can be sexually assaulted, too, and not just by other men. This girl shoves him against the wall and slaps him three fucking times when he pushes her away. Heck, he has to push her away twice before she backs off for a moment. Then she goes right back to kissing him.
If the genders were reversed, everyone on this site would be flipping a shit. And if anyone dares to tell me that itās different when a girl does it to a guy, I will personally write you a three-page essay on why it is still not okay.
