Food assistance was cutoff a while ago and all applications submitted after for re-approval have been denied along with rent assistance and medical assistance 🫠
Looking for remote work in hopes of having a job that doesn’t cause a panic attack at the very thought of being there since ,not surprisingly, having anxiety and a security job don’t mix.
Our current attempts at raising funds is not at all sustainable and our hope going forward is that we can finally raise enough to help with the medical bills that could never fit in our budget even with 2 incomes because of the lack of health insurance, cover rent during the current job searching, and help with the never ending battle of keeping food and medicine in the apartment in the meantime until i’m successfully settled in a new job.

We have 2 weeks left before rent is due and we still have $1,046 left to raise for it. We have received either no response from financial assistance programs in our area or the application list is just not currently open for some nor have we received communication about our newest food stamps application.
My current job search is yielding no results as well outside of various emails explaining that the company has decided to “pursue other candidates who appear to match” and my wife is still waiting on confirmation of reassignment to another client with their agency.
Currently we are trying to raise funds for the bills listed below that cannot go unpaid no matter what.
Rent $1,046 due Feb 1st (we had to go through a guarantors agency just to get into this new apartment after the disaster that our previous one was and we really have no other options if we get kicked out of this one)
Renters insurance $41.50 due Feb 1st (required by our apartment to stay in compliance with lease)
Internet $80.35 due Jan 19th (needed for working from home and also for using our phones for job applications and general communication once our phone service is disconnected for the past due balance currently accruing)
Help with food and toiletries would be greatly appreciated as well but honestly we are just prioritizing the above 3. In this weather and city being hungry indoors is a much less scary concept than the alternative.

Yesterday was a mixed result but overall a good bit of progress was made. We have just $645.61 out of $1,977 left to raise for rent but we also just received a letter in the mail notifying us 3 days late that we had been scheduled for a phone interview for food stamps. The case worker ignored the update to my wife’s phone number on the new application and called an old number from a previous application in addition to ignoring the disability accommodations requested on the application asking that they be notified by email as well as phone of any updates to our case. When we attempted to contact the case worker using the number on the application the number was not in service. All in all not a good sign but we stay positive yet again.
As of right now these are the amounts we have left to raise for bills that cannot go unpaid.

I keep hearing this notion that Israelis are indigenous to Palestine and... do you know what indigeneity means? Because I don't think you do. Sure, non-Palestinian jews might be native to Palestine if you definition of indigeneity begins and ends at your ancestors having lived in a place. But unless you think white people are native to Sub-Saharan Africa because all humans come from Africa you need to update that definition.
Today what it means to be indigenous is defined by a relationship between the indigenous group, their colonizers, and the land they live on. Israeli do not have this relationship. They have no colonizers. Their relationship to the land is of a fundamentally different nature. They are not indigenous.
