Freedom in femininity
i view myself as feminine without societal standards, femininity untouched by anyone else’s pov or beliefs, other people only view me as masculine because a man-made store labeled the section i prefer most of my clothes from. Disconnecting myself from those labels has truly helped me find femininity in my own preference and way of expression beyond a social way.
this is something a lot of people refuse to understand or acknowledge about me, i’m expected to be/act a certain way (play a man’s role) and for a very long time i was uncomfortable with myself for literally just being a girl. In this past year though i’ve learned so much about myself, i’ve taken so many steps forward and just as many backward. I hope younger girls who deal with the same struggles i once did see me and realize that it doesn’t have to be either or, you’re not responsible for meeting societal expectations.
so, no, i don’t “know what you mean”
