Not a drawing/art post but it is something I am dying to get out there.

I am not only bringing this up because I’m sick of generative AI’s sickening popularity— but because I had a friend who hand painted the scenery of a ride— recently , her amazing artwork was replaced by an ugly, soulless, ai generated mural. My heart breaks for her. It upsets me already that generative ai has invaded literally every online space, but is now everywhere within the amusement industry too. Instead of hiring artists who im sure would LOVE to paint a ride’s scenery/backdrop/mural myself included, people are decorating their rides with some AI generated dogshit. Rides being refurbished nowadays that have scenery or a mural are barely ever airbrushed or hand painted anymore and to say it is disheartening is an understatement.

Since you guys seem to like them here’s some older art featuring Bridget (zipper) and Dash (Spinout). The second one is a jab to when Bridget went thru refurbishment and had to have all of her cages removed at some point and zippers look incredibly chopped in this stage of refurbishment. Bald
