Once again was just doodling aoex, thinking of wolfcut Ryuji again... Had fun drawing this one, might be a bit rough around the edges though.

I really struggle with male/broad shoulders tbh. A little while ago, I realised that I mostly only drew women or... at least feminine characters, but actually on this blog 99% of the characters I drew are male/male presenting. I guess it's good that I finally practice wahhh

Ryuji got scared at some point through, at least he seemed more relaxed in the sketch, imo - maybe he thinks Rin is about to chew on his hair or something. I also felt like Shima looked like Hikaru from The Summer Hikaru Died for a bit there.

Happy 15th Anniversary to the Blue Exorcist anime

Since it’s already the 17th in Japan. Today on this day, 15 years ago the first season of Blue Exorcist originally aired in 2011. 🎉🎉🎉

A classic anime of the early 2010s introducing many fans into the story. 🙏💯💙

I know there are mixed feelings in regards to season 1 due to the filler-arc (ep.17-24) and the confusion it caused to the story deviating from the canon. But despite its flaws I have such good and enjoyable memories for this season. It was my introduction to the series, to Rin, Yukio, the other exwires and this world and lore!

From giving amazing openings and ending songs in the form of: Core Pride (UVERworld), In My World (Rookiez Is Punk’d), Take Off (2PM) and Wired Life (Meisa Kuroki) music 🎶

April being a prominent month for the series as this season released almost 2 weeks after the manga’s second anniversary, and the series in-universe beginning in April.

I first watched this season with my little brother in late 2017 during the winter break, where we binged new anime we hadn’t watched yet on Netflix getting through season 1 and the movie within 2 weeks, and it instantly became one of our favourites.

A cool fact that Yuri Egin was introduced in this season, long before her official canon debut within the manga, and the design for her was even expanded and used in the manga, and her backstory differing from the anime-original giving us a much deeper story and connection between her, Shiro and Satan.

Im grateful for this season 1 in spite of its flaws, and filler arc, and it being the first step I made into the series and fandom that is “Blue Exorcist” 🙏

A cute commission I received last month from @notninani of an older Kosuke and Rin, with Rin once again being clingy and jealous and Kosuke having to awkwardly apologise for the clear hostility Rin is displaying. 🩵🔥💛🪽

I usually have Kosuke being taller than Rin in most of my AUs, but this particular one in their 20s Rin had a growth spurt now being taller than Kosuke.

There's literally nothing I'd love more than a Soul Eater remake but after seeing how THOSE people treated Katara for mourning her mother I already know they'll try to CRUCIFY Maka for not forgiving Spirit for cheating on her mother or the times when she gets mad at Soul and Black⛤Star when they piss her off
