I apologize for the lack of art. The passing of my dad has been very rough.

I’m very honored to say that my oldest sister had asked me for a tattoo design in memory of our dad. Last night, 2/05/2022, she had finally gotten the tattoo on her right calf. The three dates are his birth date, his ‘rebirth’ date(bone marrow transplant), and his day of death.

Please do not repost or use this design. The only person that has permission to do either is my oldest sister, who does not have a Tumblr. Please notify me if someone has reposted this!

In memory of my dad who passed away from Acute Myeloid Leukemia and Sepsis

I was only able to give my dad one more year of life. He received my bone marrow on October 29, 2020 and passed on November 9, 2021. I plan on registering to become a donor to help save others. I feel as though that is my purpose.

Unfortunately, my dad has passed today.

My dad was diagnosed with Leukemia(AML) early 2020. He got a bone marrow transplant from me. A couple of months ago, we noticed his cells were coming back, so he started on chemo pills again. We had planned on me donating stem cells, but last week (November 7), he was moved to another hospital to help treat an infection. He had c diff, which probably came from him taking antibiotics. He then developed sepsis on November 7. My two older sisters and I went an visited him on November 8th and one last time today, November 9th before we left. He passed sometime a little before 8PM.

I miss you so much already, dad. It was so incredibly difficult to see you in such a horrible state. I love you so so much. I’m glad you are no longer in pain.

Sorry for the lack of activity! Explanation under the cut

I’ve been having problems with severe lag on MagmaStudio and have been trying to get it fixed.

But more importantly, my dad is back in the hospital. I don’t know if I’ve said this before, but early 2020 my dad was diagnosed with Leukemia(AML, Acute Myeloid Leukemia). He was in the clear after I donated my bone marrow to him in late October. I originally was supposed to donate in either July or August 2020, but all 3 of us got Covid(Mom, dad and I) the week of the donation and had to wait until we all came back negative(My dad had literally just started having his entire immune system completely wiped out when we got it. We were so careful too). Luckily we all did fine. It was basically like a bad flu for us. We had a low grade temp, exhaustion, and slight coughing.

After almost a year, his white blood cell count has been slowly going down and he’s been taken to the cancer center. We’re currently waiting for the bone marrow biopsy to see if my cells are compromised and whether or not we can continue with the plan of me donating again. This would all be so much easier if we didn’t live 6 hours away from the goddamn cancer clinic...

It’s cruel that this is all happening not even a year after he received my bone marrow.
