My plant is growing slowly but surely. It's almost been a month since I tried planting tomatoes using a kit given to me as an event souvenir. Hope this grows enough for me to harvest red, juicy tomatoes! 🍅
Just one of the reasons why I love Revlon's Matte Balm. My lips look plump and pretty. ♥

Make up udate!
Watched a YouTube tutorial on how to use a full palette and look! I think I did a decent job(?)...and look at that inner corner shimmer! I'm happy and satisfied to see that my practice sessions are really working hahaha
Lip Service
I'm back with another beauty-related post!
This time, I looked for lipsticks that are versatile. Glad that there was a huge sale at Watsons so I was able to buy two items: one for daily use and one for special events or if I want to feel like a boss haha.
Anyway, I was able to buy a pricier lipstick. Again, I'm not really after the high-end brands. But my lips are kinda dry and flaky so I want to see if price matters and which is more nourishing.
Also, I'm not a fan of matte lipsticks, especially the ones with liquid formulation. I tried it once and it was so drying, the cracks on my lips were emphasized. So if it's gonna be matte, I'll buy it as long as it doesn't dry my lips out. Period.
Lipstick #1 - MLBB
For those who are not aware what MLBB means, it is My Lips But Better. Basically, you pick a shade close to the natural color of your lips or any nude or soft pink to make it look better but it's also as if you didn't put any lipstick on.
Anyway, I got this for 50% off! (sweet) and I picked the shade because it looks flattering on my skin tone. It's Ever Bilena Kris Matte Matic Lipstick. Now, I just said I hate matte formulation. But honestly, what's in nowadays is anything matte, so that's also basically the majority of my options.
It was kinda tugging my lips the first time I tried it. Not sure if I have to warm up the product first, but it's almost "drying" matte. Though I must say the shade is really gorgeous. I couldn't just put this lipstick down in the depths of my vanity kit. Luckily, applying a thin film of lipbalm does the trick in making the swipes slicker.
Lipstick #2 - Red Flavor
The second lipstick is pricier, if I'm not mistaken, is over P500 pesos. Anyway, I got it for 50% off so it's not really a splurge.
I realized that some brands are indeed pricier but better upon trying this lippie. Apart from the brand itself, I actually felt that this is luxuriously good. In fact, Revlon Matte Balm is impressive. It is not drying, it is matte, but it doesn't look cakey, and most importantly, it glides easily like butter. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH. Also, the red shade is rich so you only need a swipe or two to get high-intensity color.
In addition, it has a minty smell, a lightweight feel, and it makes my lips look plump. Ugh. I'm smitten.
If you're just starting to build up your vanity kit, do not forget to choose 2 fundamental lipstick shades that lets you transition from daytime look to nighttime glam in just a swipe. Trust me, it's one of the basics.

For me, adulting is trying out make up
Let me start off by saying that I do not know how to put on make up.
Okay, let's say I know what a primer is or why do we need concelears of various colors, but I am not skilled on how to apply it flawlessly on my face.
But honestly, make up is a good thing. It never fails to give that instant confidence and glow back into our skin. So as a young professional trying to look like a legit polished professional, I got my hands on the cheapest make up finds I could to jumpstart my "pretty" journey.
Eyes on me
Make up, for me, doesn't need to be expensive. It's true that some are pricey for a very good reason. But as a beginner, I don't want to shell out my money for some high-end make up because it'll be put tp waste if I myself didn't know how to use it.
So off to the beauty counter I go...then I found this very cheap eyeshadow set that I'm currently playing with every night (that's the only time I can practice).
This is the PINK EYESHADOW SET from Ever Bilena, a popular local make up brand in the Philippines. I saw this sitting at a shelf and honest to goodness, I was convinced to buy it because of it's price point---P175.00.
At first, I am really hesitant if I really need this item. I mean, I rarely use make up. But then again, I must remember that I need to be presentable because of my line of work. Anyway, there were no samples on the shelf so I just bought one and tried it at home.
As you can see, every color is bright and beautiful. But the main problem, for me, is that everything's shimmery. Again, I'm not an expert, but I prefer a combination of matte and shimmer in a set so I can easily go basic or glam. Sparkle and shimmer are associated with glam, so I just try to put a little during daytime so I will not look like I have a disco ball in my eyelids. hahaha
Despite the sparkly lineup, I am impressed with the color payoff and how it suits my skin tone. My most favorite would be the peachy one because it's just bright, bold, and beautiful even in just one swipe.
I've been using it for days now and I'm satisfied (so far) with how easy it is to put on, blend, and combine. I tried combining two and three tones in one look (for practice) and it doesn't look all messed up---just shimmery all over though.
Final Thoughts
This will definitely last long in my vanity kit since I only use little amount every application. I cannot say if this is really for beginners, but it's okay if you are only using one shade at a time. I mean, it's up to you.
But since I am still experimenting, I will look out for more brands and see which one will be my most favorite palette in terms of price and performance.
Well, that's all. Happy Wednesday!
Love and peace, Pau.

You said you love me because I am always here for you---and that sounds so wrong. I guess, love is not just about making someone feel cared for. Love is finding solace in someone. It doesn't try too hard and it is never just about how one feels about the other. You see, I wanna be loved for who I am, not for what you benefit from me.
Yes, it happened to me.
