you have to love trans women more than you hate transmisogyny, you have to love jews more than you hate antisemitism, you have to love Black people more than you hate white supremacy, you have to love Indigenous people more than you hate colonialism, you have to love the disabled and mentally ill more than you hate ableism, you have to love. you have to love.
how it feels to be obsessed with your own ocs but you cant think of what to say about them
Always bear in mind that there is absolutely no legitimate evidence that Luigi was actually the one who killed the insurance company guy.
Of course he wasn't. He was at a party with me that day.
No but like literally, actually. All bits aside.
He didn't do it.
The cops very clearly planted evidence on him because they had to make an arrest because all eyes were on them and whoever actually did the deed was making them look stupid.
Why would the real killer hero have kept the weapon on his person and traveled two states over while carrying it and a manifesto in his bag, conveniently turning the crime into a federal matter? The same guy whose bag they found in a park, filled with monopoly money? Why did the police turn off their bodycams, take Luigi's stuff, drive a block away, turn their bodycams back on, go back into the restaurant, and then arrest him?
From the moment of his arrest, even left-of-center media has been presuming his guilt without examining anything (e.g. calling him "the killer" instead of "alleged" or "accused") and then when I say he didn't do it, the nearest person chimes in with some quip that tells me they think he did do it but should go free anyway. Don't get me wrong, I would have the same attitude if he had done it. But he didn't. It makes me feel like the only sane person in the world, even among my staunchly leftist friends.
āomg youāre just blogging for attentionā
and youāre blogging??? for gold? Women? Immortality?
The thing thatās always missing from the āwomen didnāt fight for the right to work they were already working they fought to get paidā is that many women also very much wanted to work.
Women wanted to be lawyers and engineers and chemists. They wanted to use their brains in challenging and interesting ways. They wanted to get the satisfaction from solving problems and inventing new shit and getting attention for it.
I know not everyone is born with intellectual curiosity or drive or determination but some people are and many of those people are women.

I would love to hear more of your thoughts on Kodlak and Vilkas and how Vilkas most certainly earned the Harbinger position but it went to the LDB. In my fic Iām writing I perceive it as Vilkas knowing he may be intelligent, but heās not wiseāheās shortsighted and cruel in his desperation to obliterate the Silver Hand, heās idealistic (delusional?) in his belief they can cure Kodlak even in death⦠I feel like he knows heās not worthy of the role bc he canāt ever get out of his own way
In my brain Vilkas is a workaholic. Everyone, including Kodlak, know that the role would swallow him up. Vilkas would probably be a fairly effective Harbinger but there would be none of him left if he was given the role. Also probably a bit of ego? Like at some point Vilkas may have overheard one of the elder members mentioning offhandedly that Kodlak would likely select him as the successor and it became absolute truth to him. Aela, Skjor, Farkas, they're all soft compared to him.
You're so right about Vilkas being delusional. He's incredibly stubborn, thinking that if he can work a little harder things have to go his way. If he pours enough of his time and sanity into something it simply must happen the way he intends, and he tears himself apart trying to make everything happen the way he planned out.
Kodlak likely saw that while Vilkas may be the logical choice to fill the role, the Dragonborn is better suited for it. Their temperament and experience gives them a different perspective. Vilkas sees it as a failing that they haven't spent their life within the walls of Jorrvaskr, living and breathing for their guild, but Kodlak probably saw it as a pro - they are not blinded by allegiance to their shield siblings. They have an empathy for other factions that Vilkas' loyalty does not allow space for.
Vilkas would likely know the answer to any historical question about the Companions. He can recite battle strategies without thought. But the Dragonborn knows when to have mercy for their opponents. They know when to ask for information instead of annihilating every enemy, they aren't driven by revenge as he is. Vilkas does not still his sword, especially when it comes to the Silver Hand.
I like to write au's where Vilkas becomes the Harbinger and it just crushes him. He gets the thing he's spent his life working toward and it destroys him. Vilkas is often controlling by nature but having so many eyes look to him expecting him to hold every answer is more than he can bear. Haunted by a memory of Kodlak that he refuses to disappoint.

what is the point of oscar the grouch on sesame street?
Itās okay to not like things and itās okay to be unhappy. He was created from the idea that ānon-destructive devianceā would go over well with kids.
THANK YOU!
Basically, the point of Oscar the Grouch is so that kids know itās okay to haveĀ fucking emotions and moods that arenāt all cheery. Thatās the fucking point. And thatās even more important to the kids who are living in harsh realities. Realities where their families are falling apart or theyāre not getting food every day or theyāre getting abused. Telling them itās okay to express that they are NOT HAPPY because they are HURTING is so fucking important I cannot even say it.Ā
Big Bird is nice, but goddamn, when youāre a kid whoās hungry and you just got beat by your caretaker and all you wanna do is hole up somewhere and tell everyone else to go away because you donāt even have words for how bad things feel? Big Bird is not your dude. Cheery happy, āwell, letās play a happy game!ā Big Bird aināt cutting it for you. Oscar the Grouch is your dude. Oscar the Grouch is the dude who tells you itās okay to put the lid on your garbage can and be alone and be upset.
Big Bird tries to talk you out of being upset (and maybe sometimes thatās okay). But Oscar the Grouch teaches you that, no, itās okay to be upset and you have every right to stay upset and grouchy and unhappy until youāre at a point where that can change. Oscar the Grouch teaches you that you have a right to your emotions, whatever they are.
On a more advanced level, the point of Oscar is to start teaching kids that itās okay to have boundaries, itās okay to want to just go into your trash can (home/safe place) and not be bothered, itās okay to defend those boundaries and say āgo away!ā when you want people toĀ go the fuck away and that you can still have a place on Sesame Street. That not everyone has to be shiny, happy Big Bird.Ā
Thatās the point of Oscar the Grouch.
āwhat is the point of oscar the grouchā who even made you
Also Oscar the Grouch *likes* things that no one else likes and heās completely unapologetic about it.Ā
The fact that people tell you things you like are stupid doesnāt make itās true. He loves trash. He loves it because itās trash. Thatās important too.
As is the fact that *even though everyone thinks his interests are stupid*, people donāt take his trash away and they donāt drag him out of his can.
Also he has *fantastic* body language. Boundary laden but also very emotional. And just the way he likes stuff and expresses interestā¦
ā¦Oscar the Grouch = awesome.
This is a wonderful series of texts post that needs to be shared with all of you
This is an excellent defense of Oscar!
Just want to add the very important details that Oscar gets to be grouchy and occasionally avoidant and gets to like āweird/grossā things, and his friends still love him
The rest of Sesame Streetās residents still seek Oscar out, and still listen to him when he talks and still care about him! So it shows kids not only that they can still be loveable even if theyāre grumpy/weird/etc, but it shows that if you have a friend who is grumpy/weird/etc, they are worth keeping!
Oscar is so important.

welcome to my epic fantasy world. we have many developed fantasy kingdoms with 2000 years of rich lore and history. and to the south you can see the evil sand people and to the east theres japanchina.
I actually do think we should discourage women from becoming housewives. Do not become financially dependent on a man. That's how a lot of women ended up dead over the years. A man gets violent suddenly and you have to choose between homelessness or potentially dying at his hand because you have an enormous gap in your resume and no degrees or certifications or anything that will help you pursue a career that will allow you to be financially independent. He owns your bank account. His name is probably the one on the car. Try and leave and he can report it stolen. Where will you go then?
Don't become a housewife.
