If the sheer yearn in Kamiina Botan was tangible it could fuel a rocket. It could power a city. The way it hangs on specific expressions is enough to drive the viewer insane and by viewer I mean me. I feel more insane after every episode.

I remember watching the first two episodes and thinking 'oh this is fun but probably won't develop much past this' I AM SORRY I WAS UNFAMILIAR WITH YOUR GAME. THE GAY BAR SOMEHOW RAISES EVERY EPISODE.

Had a conversation with a cis person recently about pride and it's kinda baffling just how much they weren't clued into what's happening across this country to trans people.

There are constantly new laws restricting specifically the rights of trans people and trying to force us out of public spaces and restrict our ability to travel. Every week there's new stories of hate crimes - new murders of our brothers and sisters. The economy is bad for everyone right now, but finding and maintaining employment is already disproportionately more difficult when you're trans. Genuinely trans people are struggling and it's continuing to get worse, so if you want to help trans people this pride the best thing you can do is give them money. That will help more than anything else.

And to be clear I don't mean this for me (but even if I did there's nothing wrong with that) as I have a stable job for the time being. I will happily point anyone to trans fundraisers or gofundmes that are in need of more attention.

I feel like theres a tendency amongst TME trans folks to view and portray masculine features in TMA folks as a challenge to perceptions of gender but honestly to me it just feels like we're being used as a prop to further your own goals, and that it seems infinitely more radical to portray any transfem as openly enjoying femininity, because femininity is so rarely celebrated, instead portrayed as a cage or a costume.

Like. When us transfems get assaulted or murdered, it is not because we have stubble. We had stubble before coming out, it was never punished then. We get assaulted and murdered because we are embracing femininity.

So yeah. Stop drawing your transfem characters looking like a guy in a dress, you're literally just perpetuating transmisogyny and pretending its good because you use the right pronouns.

To be clear, I think this isnt really a hard rule or anything? I have seen clocky portrayals which are good. But I feel like the way I see many TME folks portray us simply proves they do not question transmisogynistic ideas. They are trying to make us into "genderfucks", supposedly to "challenge gender norms", but the norms being challenged are almost exclusively in service to masculinity, which simply reinforces misogyny and by extension, transmisogyny.

But letting a trans woman simply be a woman? That's what's transgressive, that's what's challenging! That's saying that your assigned gender can be fully escaped, and that femininity can be a good thing! Again, you dont NEED to avoid all clockiness, but ask yourself what you're doing with it. If we transfems are only useful as a prop to uphold your masculine-forward view of gender, you are being transmisogynistic, and fuck you.

Google officially killing its search engine in 2026 really is just the prime example of the direction of technology in general at this stage. What started as a simple search engine is blowing up the simple search engine because it's not hip and cool enough. Data tracking is literally being advertised as a feature.

At the cost of functionality, innovation must go on to the point where the plot has been utterly lost and/or shot out back. This is the rule of technology.

Sometimes a day a gorgeous and you go for a walk and you get to see all the other people enjoying the beautiful day. And you treat yourself to a fun beverage and sit next to the water. You see a friend and chat. And then you go and drive a little, and see all the students celebrating and people working on their homes and hugging friends on the sidewalk and mowing their lawns. Treat yourself again. And then you go home and your wife is awake and shes smiling and you just go wow. Sometimes a day is just nice.

Being a fan of both FFXIV and Guilty Gear is so incredibly interesting because a post can say 'I liked Heavensward' or 'Sol 5P is oppressive' and then immediately under it is someone responding with vitriol Wuk Lamat and Bridget hatred and discourse and I'm supposed to pretend these aren't related for all the reasons I know they are.
