So... honestly, I wanted to wait until the end of Season 3 of IWTV (or TVL, whichever you prefer) to talk about it, but after today's fourth episode, I was like... okay, I need to talk a bit.

Because WTF, Louis? I mean, at least I'm glad the plot didn't go down a sexual path with Regina (I know Louis is gay, but I still needed that confirmation from the season itself), but the whole thing about paying a random girl to play Claudia was just... a lot. And I feel like, maybe, it’s a step backward for Louis. I know, I know—that phrase Molloy uses started coming up again: "Louis always a pimp pays a whore to talk about his problems." I get it, but that also kind of ignores everything Louis went through in the previous two seasons.

Louis finally discovered he’d been living a lie for about 70 years, allowing himself to talk about his past and open up wounds that never healed; through the interview, he revisited them—he didn't close them, but he realized they were there. Maybe it was just my expectations, but I thought other things would happen with Louis this season i mean the final scene of the second season—with "I Own the Night," Paul's painting, and Claudia's dress all being part of his life—as if his past truly mattered, yet acknowledging it for what it is: the past and a part of his history Instead, he decides to step out of one lie only to create a new one. It’s like he keeps stumbling over the same rock over and over again, as if no develoment actually matters. It’s not that I think Louis is "the best, most virtuous person"—NO ONE in this show is (that’s the whole point)—but the way his character is being written feels questionable to me.

Also, been that "super-woke friend"—it is incredibly unnecessary to mention that Regina has an OF; do all the women this season have to be defined by sexual parameters, or else have no storyline at all?
