My thoughts on xenogenders:

Real talk, gender does not have to be as strict as people make it out to be. I identify as a demigirl, which basically means part girl, part something else. The reason I identify as a demirgirl is because I like being a girl, and I'll always be seen and see myself as a girl, but I need something outside of that. I need to give myself room to go against what I've been taught it means to be a woman. For this reason, I think we need to give xenogenders more credit. Xenogendered people are making gender FUN. It's a huge part of your identity, and it makes sense for it to be fun. Why not be catgender? Why not be stargender? Why not let your gender change based on what song you're listening to (musicgender)? I fully admire people that can stand up against everything we know about gender expectations and just say, "fuck it, I'm catgender." That's something truly beautiful we need to appreciate more..

yo do any of my fellow micro label folks on here just get like. fucking giddy when you see get just any form of representation? cuz I'm genderfaun, aroflux (or just straight up aromantic idk), aceflux and omni and anytime I see any of my identities included I am just OVERJOYED. using lesser-known labels, I've grown accustomed to not having anyone mention my identities or know what they mean. when I see anything targeted towards the larger lgbt+ community I really don't expect to see my identities included, and that honestly doesn't bother me anymore. but when I DO see them OHOHHOO BOY!!!! I'm bouncing I'm giggling I'm flapping my hands I'm smiling it is just a wonderful experience and I honestly love it so much <3 <3 <3

downsides of being a cat in a human body:

no tail

lame ears

canines barely looked like fangs when they grew in, even less now for me personally bc i grind my teeth in my sleep so they’re kinda flat

no retractable claws, and even when shaping my claws to look like actual claws, they’re brittle and can’t be used the same

not covered in fur

have to participate in capitalism

have to take care of myself, cannot just lay around all day or even hunt for my own food and sleep wherever i want like a feral

doesn’t get to be adored by a loving human that wants to cuddle me and pet my soft fur and pick me up

is not so so small and fluffy

no sandpaper tongue

upsides to being a cat in a human body:

i get to eat chocolate

i get to drink coffee

i get to eat onions

i get to eat garlic

i get to eat capsaicin

not only do i get to eat bread and grains but they are good for me

i can go outside without needing permission or hurting my local ecosystem

i do not need to be afraid of dogs and other large domestic animals

i get to choose what my own collar looks like

i get to name myself
