I love black women exercising their right to say EXACTLY how tf they feel despite public white opinion
Nevaeh now wears a scarf to cover several bald spots and her singed hair. She was left with first-degree burns, but it could have been worse according to Tanya Robinson, Nevaehâs mother.
âThe doctor told me her hairstyle saved her life,â Tanya recalled. âHad it been different, she might not be here.â
This isnât the first time Nevaeh has experienced bullying. Two years ago, another student broke her thumb.
Iâm walking into that school like
Hate crime. It should qualify as one.
Nevaeh is thirteen years old. This happened at Gompers School in the Philadelphia School District. The school district has not issued any comment, but y'all can make yours:

Mainstream Media Now Openly Reporting on the Elite Lining Up to Ingest the Blood of ChildrenâŠ. Seriously
Once the talk of conspiracy theorists â the rich ingesting the blood of the young to foster longevity â is now a reality and an actual business in the United States. Not only is it a business but billionaires are actually admitting their interest in it. Now, even the mainstream media is reporting it.
Peter Thiel, the billionaire co-founder of PayPal and adviser to Donald Trump told Inc. magazine:
âIâm looking into parabiosis stuff, which I think is really interesting. This is where they did the young blood into older mice and they found that had a massive rejuvenating effect. I think there are a lot of these things that have been strangely under-explored.â
As Vanity Fair reports, Ambrosia, which buys its blood from blood banks, now has about 100 paying customers. Some are Silicon Valley technologists, like Thiel, though Karmazin stressed that tech types arenât Ambrosiaâs only clients and that anyone over 35 is eligible for its transfusions.
Aside from the gruesome historical and occult background of such practices, there is literally NO DATA that suggests the process even works.
âThereâs just no clinical evidence [that the treatment will be beneficial], and youâre basically abusing peopleâs trust and the public excitement around this,â Stanford University neuroscientist Tony Wyss-Coray, who conducted a 2014 study of young blood plasma in mice, told Science magazinelast summer, as reported by Vanity Fair.Â
#STAYWOKE
If there was a venn diagram of the old-ass homophobes who worsened the AIDS crisis and prevent gay people from donating blood; and the old-ass people who are looking at this shit as an actual anti-aging solution, Iâm sure itâd be a circle.
Weird Things about your Zodiac Sign
This is all based on Sun sign only, and something that I find pretty cool. My professor was talking about this today and I wanted to share it with you guys as well! Of fucking course what I put for your sun sign might not define you, itâs just an overall analysis. Get off my ass about it lol. Anyways, I hope this is cool!
Aries think about death a lot. Whether it is their own death or a loved one. This sign thinks about death a lot, and all the struggles it would bring.
A Taurus is more likely to stalk someone. Keeping up with someones social medias, trying to find out more about them, digging more into someone they donât know. They have the most stalking tendencies.

Dear People Who Smoke
I donât know if you have considered this but stop smoking in areas where people are forced to wait at. Donât smoke at crosswalks. Donât smoke outside doorways. Donât smoke at bus stops. People with asthma or other breathing conditions or people that idk DONâT WANT TO BREATHE IN YOUR CIGARETTE SMOKE are trying to get to places and need to be able to breathe. Stop smoking in crowded areas. stop smoking in crowded areas. STOP FORCING NONSMOKERS TO SECOND HAND SMOKE.Â
This may be news to some people, but this applies to marijuana too.
I love Gordon Ramsay so much.
He comes from a very poor family. His father was an alcoholic who beat him and his mother (he once poured hot tea over her and put her in hospital several times), his brother is a drug addict, he literally built an empire out of nothing.
He credits his mother as his biggest inspiration and often has her cooking in his shows.
When he left his first restaurant he pulled a successful Jerry Maguire - the entire kitchen staff went with him. That tells you what heâs like to work with.
He was one of the first to give a restaurant to a female chef.
He went to prison (Gordon Behind Bars) and taught inmates to bake and they opened a bakery (Bad Boys Bakery) that is still running. He hired one of them when he got out.
He did documentaries about the cruelty of shark hunting and cocaine. (when he discovered cocaine was used by his staff he didnât fire anyone but made sure they are offered treatment)
His kids are a treasure.
He is always ALWAYS kind to servers.
When one of his partners (Marcus Wareing) wanted to leave they got into a fight and settled it in court, they no longer speak to each other but this is what Marcus said about him after the fight:Â
I feel bad that the first association to him for a lot of people is this shouty TV chef when heâs truly a wonderful person.Â
Oh and then thereâs this:
this entire episodeÂ
never forget that the reason heâs âshouty and angryâ on his tv show is that heâs yelling at people who ignore the rules of courtesy and food safety and basically feed their customers poison, something which would enrage any good person

BEING BORN

So my husband tells a story about a guy he worked with at his first job. Theyâd regularly go to a Thai restaurant near their office - one of those really legit places where grandma is the chef. So the guy says one day to their server, looks this girl dead in the eye, and says âYou canât make it hot enough.â
Server gives him this look like âyour funeralâ and takes the order to the kitchen. GRANDMA COMES OUT AND LOOKS AT THIS POOR WHITE BOY, shakes her head, and goes back in the kitchen.
When the dish comes out, itâs a solid mass of just RED. Dudes at the table are dying just sitting near it. This guy tries his damnedest, gets about five bites in, and canât do it. Mr You-cant-make-it-hot-enough was fucking obliterated by Chef Grandma.
And to add insult to injury, they replaced the dish for him, and GRANDMA BRINGS IT OUT, gives him a look and shakes her head.
I think thereâs a reasonable chance this was his receipt.

Daily reminder that âMissing Personâ posts are a common and often effective method that abusers use to find their victims that have run away from them. Also used to find people in the witness protection program. Â
If you see a âmissing personâ post with a number that is not just 911 on it, be very wary. And if you do see someone who is supposedly missing, call the police, NOT the number provided on the post. I trust the police as little as anyone but theyâll at least be able to tell you if that person is actually missing and it has less of a chance of giving information to a possible abuser.Â
There are hundreds more.
Donald Trump sending thousands of troops to the border isnât just ridiculous, itâs horrifying. What exactly does he plan to do with all those troops? He just recently said he is prepared to gun down people who throw rocks⊠it gives you a clue doesnât it?
Iâm genuinely worried that these people are going to get hurt, I donât trust Donald Trump and Iâm worried as to why we are comfortable with sending thousands of troops to greet families and children with guns⊠horrifying.
itâs also a massive breach in military deployment protocol, specifically the Posse Comitatus act and Article 10 of the United States Code. Donald Trump is breaking the fucking lawÂ
HEâS GONNA HAVE TROOPS GUN DOWN & MURDER WOMEN & CHILDREN.
Iâm hoping that none of them get an itchy trigger finger as another commenter pointed out, but there is no other reason for them to be there and heâs talking about shooting people who throw rocks and it just sounds like an excuse to open fire. Letâs pray that nothing violent takes place against those people.
And they will all say âI was just following ordersâ
He wants to send more troops to the Mexican border than are currently deployed in Afghanistan just an fyi
We can afford all these troops at the border but not 15 dollars minimum wage, free college, or Medicare for all.
I live on the Border. Itâs peaceful, beautiful, and very nice overall. Heâs just afraid of brown people. Even women and children.
and we still have sent no aid to Puerto Rico, alright
I saw someone in the tags say this is fearmongering but thereâs fearmongering, and then thereâs actual fear. All of the comments on this post are reactions of genuine, sincere concern for the people at the border. Nobody is trying to fearmonger.
WE ARE ACTUALLY AFRAID.
Just to provide some context here since I havenât seen a single soul talk about the Caravan online, I only know about it due to the controversy caused by several local Spanish news stations that decided to air coverage despite many stations in Mexico forbidding it;
There are currently thousands of people migrating in a Caravan up to the Mexican border. They are escaping poverty, and violence amongst other things from their home countries of El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. Theyâre hoping to find a better life or apply for Asylum.Â
Theyâve been walking for nearly a full month now having started October 12th of this year (2018 time stamp for anyone seeing this in the future.)
[Pictured above is the Caravan as it reached the Suchiate river at the border between Guatemala and Mexico]
[Pictured above is the first wave of the Caravan reaching the Tijuana border -not apart of the massive wave that was seen at the river.]
[Pictured above are several caravan men who decided to jump into the river when the crowds on the bridge got too dense when it was decided that only Women and Children could pass, most were fathers, brothers, and sons who didnât wish to be separated. Many mothers with small children were also lowered down into the rafts to avoid the crowd that was stuck on the bridge for 24+ hours.]
The Donald Trump political campaign put out an ad that was as dehumanizing as you could imagine towards the immigrants, who again, at this point are largely unarmed women and children who are trying to escape the violence in their home countries.
The ad was so bad that even Fox News decided to pull it and denounce it entirely.
Donald Trump has deployed 1,000 troops to the border in anticipation for the Caravans arrival. Promising to more than double the number to about 5,000 troops lasting until about December 15th, 2018.Â
[Pictured above are children waiting in line for their turn on playground equipment.]
[Pictured above is what sleep and rest has typically looked like for them, many only having a backpack or so left of their personal belongings to take with them.]
[Pictured above is man holding up a sign that reads, âThank-you Mexico for opening up your hearts.â After the bridge and border were opened.]
These are the faces of the people Donald Trump is sending thousands of troops over to shoot down because he sees them as a threat.
Pray for the Caravans safe travels.
In Georgia, officials did not supply power cords for their voting machines at a polling site in a mostly African-American neighborhood.
The batteries died and people waited for hours.
This is voter suppression yâall.
According to the NAACP, some precincts have extended their voting hours after winning a lawsuit. If you or someone you know wanted to but wasnât able to vote but lives in these areas, please check out their Twitter! If you have access to the polls, you have another chance!Â
sharice davids just unseated a republican in the middle of fucking kansas becoming the first native american woman to serve in the us house of representatives and guess what SHEâS ALSO A LESBIANÂ
She really just did that đ
Something to remember, as the election approaches:
The work is never wasted.
Even if the Republicans keep control of Congressâyes, that would be terrible, yes, I would be furious and frustrated and sad and it would hurt like hellâEVEN SO: the work we have done to get here was not wasted.
I was part of the previous âbiggest worldwide protest ever,â the global protests against the Iraq War in February 2003.
We lost. The war happened. Is still happening.
But some of the people who got involved then worked for Obamaâs campaigns, a lot of them are part of the resistance now, and all of us learned something. The work was not wasted.
Even if we lose. There were Democratic primary debates in my hometown for the first time I can remember. Even if our terrible Republican Congresswoman gets re-elected, thereâs still a broader and stronger Democratic Party organization in Mike Fucking Penceâs home state.
The election canât be an end. It will only be an end if we win and get complacent, or if we lose and give in to hopelessness. We cannot afford either. We do the job that is in front of us. No matter what.
The work is never wasted.
The stories our world tells us are about Great Heroic Struggles With Triumphant Climaxes In Which Good Vanquishes Evil And They All Live Happily Ever After. Itâs all about the one extreme emergency during which people rise to the occasion. Problem is, thatâs not how the world actually ⊠works. Thatâs not how change happens. Thatâs not how societies are reshaped. We hear about MLK and the bus boycott and the protests, but not the DECADES OF WORK that came before, the organizing and the education and the legal challenges and the hundreds of thousands of people, from great heroes to ordinary people, who put in the grinding every-day work to make the world a better place, step by step, bit by bit. The big thingsâthe speeches, the marchesâwere the tip of the iceberg. Nothing would have happened without the rest of the iceberg. The 2018 midterms are the tip of the iceberg. They are incredibly important, yes. But without the rest of the iceberg, they mean nothing. Without ordinary people across America organizing and talking to their friends and coworkers and paying attention to politics and getting involved and volunteering (not just politically, but for all the nonprofits out there working to make the world a better, fairer, more just, more merciful place) the election is useless. This is not a sprint. It is a relay marathon. If you can run a major leg, awesome. If you can help organize the marathon, awesome. If you can coordinate the people running, awesome. If you can hand out bottled water along the route, awesome. If you can cheer along the way, awesome. If you can remind people that the marathon is happening, awesome. Itâs not about great heroes or one person doing it all or one climactic battle in which everything magically gets fixed. Itâs about ordinary people doing what they can. What you can do right now is vote. What you do on November 7 and the months and years following (no matter who wins the election) is stay involved and stay working. Take care of yourself. Take care of others. Donât hyperfixate and burn out. Be the tortoise, not the hare. Vote. And then keep moving on.
The big thingsâwere the tip of the iceberg. Nothing would have happened without the rest of the iceberg.
Little ways to relax during exam periods
I know studying can seem really really stressful, especially during exam periods when you have like 2-3 exams/ tests every week for almost a month. Although you donât have time to go to the spa or go for weekends away (if you âhave timeâ then youâre not putting in your best effort/ time management) there are little ways you can relax in short periods of time, even while you are studying.
1. Make a cup of tea:
A cup of steaming tea can really fix everything. I often have a cup of tea during every long study break I take. I also make myself a cup overtime I am stuck on a case and am struggling really badly with technical legalese used by the judge. Making a cup of tea allows me to step away, do something productive yet mindless for a couple of minutes, and then re-approach the text with fresh eyes and a soothing vibe. I like to drink Chai, Ceylon or Rooibos. Try avoid making more than 2 cups of coffee a day as it contains way more caffeine than tea.
2. Breathe properly:
Often when youâre stressed you tend to take shallower, shorter breaths. Firstly, this means youâre not taking in as much oxygen as you ideally should, and deprivation of oxygen literally makes your brain and your muscles tired. Secondly, your body associates rapid, shallow breathing with an adrenaline response released during moments of panic, so breathing âbadlyâ may actually lead to more anxiety. Try breathing in for 8 counts, holding in for 4 and breathing out for 6. This will feed your body with adequate oxygen and youâll feel waaaay more relaxed.
3. short bursts of physical activity:
I often find that I donât have time to do long workouts during exam periods because the time it takes to drive to the gym, exercise, shower, drive back and then get into the study zone amounts to like 2 hours. Instead, I opt for short intervals of exercise. I play fetch and soccer with my dogs on the lawn, or take them for walks around the block. If Iâm really anxious and need to release tension I do a short 10 minute ab or leg workout (There are millions on Youtube for free, and most donât require any equipment). This helps your blood flow so that your body feels more awake and it also releases all of those âfeel goodâ hormones that youâd normally get from a longer workout. Plus, youâre reaching your fitness goals as well!
4. Buzzfeed quizzes:
I know Buzzfeed quizzes are really random and strange sometimes (âPick your favourite clothes & weâll tell you what potato you areâ), but itâs good to do something mindless and non-goal oriented. The quizzes are really quick, colourful and actually kind of fun, and you can do a couple in your short study breaks to take your mind off of the work. Itâs better than watching Netflix or playing video games, where you really have to focus and memorise things (which may be memorised instead of all the stuff you just studied)
5. Clean your cupboards:
Cleaning out your clothing and other cupboards is a really rewarding feeling, and itâs productive as well. I always do this during exam time in my study break. I opt to do one shelf per break, and I always find old things I never wear/ use anymore that I can donate, or even sell on Craigslist/ Gumtree to make some extra cash. By the end of a couple of days youâll have your studying down and a clean cupboard that doesnât stress you out when youâre trying to find that pair of jeans.
