Special shout out to my favorite brand (it's me I'm my favorite brand) autochorissexuality, also known as aegosexual!

For those who might not have seen this term, an autochoris is more than able to look at the thing and go, "hey, that's hot". And yet, the moment you try imagine yourself in the same scenario, the disinterest- and outright discomfort- is immediate. Palpable.

Sex positivity for everything that doesn't include you is a great and wonderful thing and I'm very glad tumblr introduced me to this term, because it made an awful lot of things about me make a lot of sense, real goddamn fast.

Do you remember , back in part one, when kwak was abducted by jay and kse who was wearing his darkness disguise and upon seeing kse started theorizing what darkness we was from?

The one that stayed with me was the “court of silver”

Probably because kse does have a lot of silver items

The silver coin

the silver ring

the silver heart

the bracelet he made but never used because the church scripture ate it

the blood sucking cutlery was silver too right?

And the one I think would be interesting but also unlikely

The merch box

Which had a silver logo on it

I know nothing about this darkness except it has my brain in a chokehold

(Not really a question but it’s something I wanted to share with someone, it feels like just knowing it’s name has contaminated me)

Me now: The world needs to know this information urgently!!!)

I don’t remember that at all, but ‘Court of silver’ just from it’s name, has immediately contaminated me down to my cells as well.

Since I believe there shouldn’t be too many coincidences that exists, that whole thought process has swiftly got me in it’s hook.

It’s also so interesting to note, that while they are all vital, they usually played the background role? Easy to be overlooked? Used and lost more than any other items? (I’m trying to think of how to link it to snakes, that I’ve found mentioned one too many times in the novel, got it)(*shamelessly advertises* if you haven’t seen it go and check out the post I made on trying to write down all the snake mentions (kept my eyes way too open and peeled for those, they worked overtime)

The silver serpent, from even just the name, it’s associated with a snake.

The silver ring, had an insignia of a snake on it.

And most importantly (from what I remember), while they appeared almost routinely in part one, maybe due to circumstances, or because of something else that we’re not aware of, they haven’t appeared again at all in part 2. While it makes sense for the silver, since most (if not all) of them were items Kim Soleum no longer has in his possession, I find that odd for the snake mentions, since they weren’t only limited to items. (It never stops making me uneasy how Baek Saheon continues to be the only snake mention in part 2 (the nonstop, ongoing mentions of ‘Viper’), how he was the first named character, how he was the first one we know of (and the only one at that?) who has such a viscous nickname dubbed to them)

Also, weren’t snakes and sliver closely associated with each other in some ways? Though I don’t remember exactly how, just a feeling, but I’m sure I’m right.

(I welcome not only questions, reblogs, I also welcome any tidbit of information you share with me, because damn, all of them gets my mind running. Your thought process is super interesting to me, since I didn’t remember, or didn’t think that way at all, so thanks for the ask 😆 it’s always really fun to think on, whether we’re right or wrong)

Spoilers for 268

To rectify my previous post, this is a direct quote from Go Yeongeun, “I don’t really know. It just looked like the dealers were heading to the VIP room, and when I looked inside, everyone was dead, and only you Mr. Roe Deer, were still breathing…”, “But still, I was a bit late… when I carried you out, your legs-“ (Kim Soleum’s response be like, “Don’t worry about that… Thank you.” 😭🤣)

Okay, so it becomes even more confusing. Because the dealers didn’t even make it to the VIP room before Go Yeongeun carried him out, but he had still already lost his legs by then (if he had lost it while Go Yeongeun was carrying him out, I think he would’ve not been left to be carried out at all, think they managed to make it out because none of the dealers that came looking for them, didn’t reach them). But it obviously wasn’t Lee Seonghae’s doing, because again, she was dead already, and if his legs had disappeared already before he shot himself, Kim Soleum would’ve mentioned it right? So between the time frame it took from after Kim Soleum shot himself, to when Go Yeongeun carried him out, he had lost his legs. In a way reminiscent to the dealers, only it couldn’t have been any of the dealers, as the one near him was dead, the ones coming after him didn’t reach him, so who the hell took Kim Soleum’s legs, and only his legs, and left him at that???

(Am I reading it wrong, is my reading comprehension off? Because that’s what I’m getting. I am genuinely so confused right now.)

The dealers apparently don’t need to physically touch someone to take what is owed

I think a dealer saw the damage from the scuffle kse had with dealer dolphin and wrote a bill/invoice for the damage

The money was probably paid first (over 2,000 coins if i remember right) and the remaining balance would have been taken from his body , hence the missing legs

Or at least that’s what I think

Do we know how long ago the sekwang city disaster happened?

In 268 we find out Ms. Goral is from the city and the disaster happened while she was in college/med school, this is the reason she lost contact with her family and her reason for joining daydream

But sekwang city is for some reason connected to jihan village via an old well?

And it’s also connected to cheerful research institute but wasn’t the institute gone ?

Maybe I’m misremembering but I thought the institute closed down and daydream rose from the ashes

Do we know how old daydream is? How long has it been operating?

This whole time I thought the sekwang disaster happened ages ago but at most it’s been like 5 years apparently

(I’m going to give so many inaccurate information right now, just from the top of my head what I can remember (I am too lazy to go back and check everything out). Please correct me if I’m wrong)

I don’t think we were given a concrete time of when exactly the Sekwang Annihilation-sanctioned disaster happened, but as you’ve pointed out it must have happened while Go Yeongeun was at university. There’s also the fact that director Ho is referred to as a young one by director Cheo, that can mean Ho is much younger than her, but could also mean he joined the company very recently, much later than her. So I can’t imagine it having happened more than five years ago. The only real indicator of the time is Go Yeongeun, and everything else is really hard to infer since it was erased from all their memories, and we don’t know how old she is, but she doesn’t even seem to be in her late twenties yet, so…

It is really suspicious how Sekwang city was accessed through an old well in Jisan village, but we were given the explanation it was only even triggered because of the Cheerful Research Institute ID card Kim Soleum had on himself. So far it’s being explained away with that, but there could be more connections between Sekwang Special Metropolitan City and Jisan village we aren’t made aware of.

I think the Cheerful Research Institute is not entirely gone, think it’s mostly been assimilated into DayDream Inc? As a form of Darkness???

I think Cheerful Research Institute and DayDream Inc existed at the same time. Since in the torn off page there was a, “They found us (I assumed it was DayDream Inc, but now that I think about it, don’t think so, at least not only…), and before they could get ahold of Kim Soleum they sent him away to a crowded place right? And while Cheerful Research Institute probably existed before Daydream Inc, I don’t think DayDream rose from its ashes. It seemed more like they picked up what they left and polished it in their own way? Then what exactly was after the Cheerful Research Institute, and how and why did director Cheong know of Kim Soleum’s existence (she’s the only one who knows something about that so far right? So many questions) The overlap between the two is very much existent, but it’s hard to make sense of it’s head or tail, it’s like they’re one thing, at least Daydream side tells you that, but Cheerful Research Institute seemed entirely removed from it.

In the first few chapters (if I’m remembering it right), they mentioned how it was the 17th field operation orientation happening. So I’m assuming it must’ve been around for at least twenty or more years?

Yeah, it’s messing with me too.

I swear there is this time finicky thing going on. Like I swear there is some form of time travel going on, I just can’t prove it.

Okay, so, the Cheerful Research institute scrap of paper Kim Soleum traded at the arm market, only accepted DayDream Inc items (that is so suspicious, why is that), so before Kim Soleum made the trade, according to agent Choi, it had been around for 5 years (and I can’t see any reason why he would lie about that), so if the time travel thing is nonexistent, yet Cheerful Research Institute and Sekwang City are related, and the disaster should of happened at most five years ago, then what are the chances it’s related to Cheerful Research Institutes complete annihilation? Or what if, Cheerful Research Institute manufactured the Sekwang City disaster, only to get caught up in it themselves?

(I know that’s a stretch, not enough proof, but unless there is some form of time travel going on, I can’t think of any other link between all these. Aughhhh. My brain hurts, but in a good way, since it’s really nice how well built the world is, and thus theorizing on it not only feasible, it’s also fun, and how I’m certain there is no plot hole, I’m just not seeing the full picture yet. So thank you again for the ask 😆 I always appreciate it)

And wasn’t that space the same (except newer/less dusty )to the basement where he was getting his prototype potions
