trans people with ocd are strong and powerful and they deserve the world!!!!
this post is dedicated to every mentally ill person who is going through a bad day. if you’re psychotic, if you have a pd, bipolar, ocd, did, ptsd and a lot of others: there is not one single day i don’t think about you. there is not one single i don’t think about trying to stay alive so i can join a career to try to help you all. you keep me alive indirectly. you are my family. thank you.
A comic about the spectrum of responses to stress - we talk alot about the more extreme ends of this and trauma, but the more subtle and every day responses can be harder to spot. if we can understand our own and other’s responses better, problems Are easier to confront and blaming is less likely to happen :) hope it’s helpful!!
OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE PERSONALITY DISORDER (OCPD) FLAG
I barely see any representation, so I decided to make a flag for the few of us. Only use this if you have OCPD. (I am Pro Self Diagnosing)
Just OCPD Things
so now that I officially know what is Wrong With Me™, it seems like a good time to compile it all into a light-hearted and easily digestible list wheeeee
you can, in fact, make everything into a contest! absolutely everything! if you have any sort of platonic ideal of a pathetic loser fuckup you can aspire to that and become The Best
acing that exam or assignment depends not on your level of skill, but on how much you beat yourself up about it
is this an authentic feeling of joy or sympathy, or are you reconstructing and performing what you imagine joy or genuine sympathy must feel like for your inner cold but ever-watchful judge/jury/executioner?
look at how nice your goodreads and letterboxd lists look, time to check if there are any classic/canonical pieces of media left to strike off your list
if you have proven yourself to be useful or palatable enough you may indulge in one (1) eccentricity. collect enough Good At Being A Person stamps and you can cancel one meeting with your friends
so ehhehhehhehhheh ummmm does anyone else harbor a secret resentment against basically everyone they know because these people are the audience on which you depend for approval or is it just me???? :)
you’re no longer a Bad Intolerant Person because you understand that human beings each have their own idiosyncratic faults and frailties and unique perspectives. not you tho, you are in fact the Alien Robot Golem among them
how to explain that your kind of disorder is a sort of pathological, debilitating functionality

Shoutout to people with both OCPD and ADHD
Y'all are so strong. You deal with so much shit.
For example: • Wanting to organize Everything, but not having the brainpower or motivation to do so. • Knowing you need to do something, because its part of your schedule, but not being able to do so. • Trying to focus on a task that you have to do Just Right, but getting distracted and making mistakes. • Wanting to correct someone but knowing that it’s not socially acceptable, but then doing it anyways out of impulse. • Oversharing and overexplaining everything, feeling bad about it but you Just Keep Talking.
Feel free to add more!
Having ocpd and adhd like: will this event trigger rsd/emotional reactivity or will people wonder if im reacting at all from ocpd. time will tell
This is so frustrating. I want to learn more about the personality disorders I test high on (BPD, OCPD, Avoidant and Dependent), but I mostly find books on BPD. There’s a ton out there for borderline personality disorder, but not so much the other three, not without looking at more scholarly writings. I know reading these books will neither diagnose nor “cure” me, but I want to be as informed as possible before I find a psychiatrist. I want to understand what’s going on with me.
