Am I the only one who sees a BUNCH of similarities between Odysseus from Epic: the Musical, and Eugenides from The Queen’s Thief book series?

stratt and grace and the rest of the phm science team running on 4 cumulative hours of sleep at an unscheduled conference. dimitri and lokken are trying to explain a new complication in the hail mary's fueling system and the resources necessary to iron it out but they keep getting interrupted by government officials butting in until grace (who doesn't even look up from his laptop and checked out of the conversation two days ago) snaps "we raise our hands to speak"

complete silence for like 3 seconds. the french prime minister sheepishly raises his hand and stratt smiles for the first time that week (grace buries his entire head behind his laptop screen for wont of a better option, like jumping straight into the sea)

the aroace read of ryland grace is so personal and haunting. "you don't even have a dog." was it not enough to love the world for the sake of living in it. was it not enough to live for the thrill of discovery. was it not enough to smile at your students. was it not enough to be afraid.

I gotta say I like the addition they add to Spider-Noir, that he developed the physical mannerisms of a Spider when mutated and that he had to relearn how to act/mask like a normal human. Only letting his guard down and letting the spider side physically take over when hes alone or simply too exausted to keep the act up.

I dunno maybe my austistic ass is reading too much into it but I think its neat way to distance Reilys Spider-Man from the others and adds to his character.

I started Spider Noir last night and I gotta say I am loving the middle-aged man of it all. Nicholas Cage doesn't get any three-point landings- he spider-swings his way out of falling off a sky scraper and lands flat on his back. He's hanging from the bottom of the bridge by one palm because that is all the flexibility he has to offer. He breaks a hole in the dry wall with the most measured sledge swings I've ever seen because otherwise he might hurt his back.

Sometimes your webslinger hangs up his mask for five years and finds out the flexibility was NOT part of the super power package

Spider-Noir detail I haven't seen mentioned: The fact that Ben is canonically copying movies would mean that in-universe, everyone just thinks he's one of those guys who won't stop making pop culture references all day. When he walked into Silvermane's fancy, spotless home and went "What a dump!" Silvermane wasn't thinking "Wow, what boldly sarcastic wit," he was thinking "Oh, yeah, I saw Beyond the Forest, too. That was alright."
