it’s with werewolf logan and oscar is a witch i think, publication was probably around 2023 and it has to do with logan wearing a collar and it highkey drives oscar insane and they fuck about it
well hello! This is my humble logan fic request/prompt: Sargebon, and the song "Hanging On" by Falling In Reverse. it's angsty, it hurts, but it fits them SO well, so have at it (and don't break my heart too much please..)
I ADORE YOU (BUT NOTHING LASTS FOREVER)// SARGEBON
alex across the year and a half he had with logan
Logan was a pleasant surprise to Alex's life. He was sweet, even under the cocky persona he sometimes took on. Under all of it, he was shy, soft-spoken with glittering green eyes that watched Alex like if he hung the moon. It made something twist inside of Alex when Logan looked at him like that, like if Alex could really offer him the moon if he just asked.
He looked out for Logan in ways he never would have with another teammate, offering encouraging words after a bad race, dinners shared between the two in Alex's room or a shoulder to lean on when everything seems impossible. Logan took everything Alex offered with hesitation, but he never denied Alex, a relieved expression on his face when Alex commiserated in their joint misery.
The year moves slowly, points barely within reach for Alex but always further away for Logan. He continues with a smile, the edges of his eyes crinkling and a toothy smile on display. It makes Alex want to keep him close—it's a dangerous thought.
There's a sense of victory in Austin, when Logan gets his first point via two disqualifications. Alex remembers the pride that had bloomed in his chest when Logan got the news, the two sat across from each other on the plane, Logan's foot in between Alex's.
The touches had started small, handshakes and shoulder nudges, the lightest of touches on the small of Logan's back. Alex's mind sings when he gets to brush against the sliver of skin that gets exposed when they're stuck doing media, a strange mix of it being enough and not being enough.
Qatar changes things, shifts them until it's Alex coaxing Logan to drink room temperature water hours after the race had ended. It's Logan, still pale and shaky and so upset with himself that all Alex ca do is hold him while he cries.
"I tried to hard to finish," Logan says tiredly, nose just a bit congested, voice thick and raspy, "They're going to drop me, I know they are."
For the first time in a long while, Alex feels the real terror of losing someone.
:::
The winter break comes and goes, the uncertainty of Logan's career a distant storm threatening to roll in until he signs a one-year extension. It's not enough time, not with the car they're testing, not with the undercurrent of rumors of their team principal sniffing around for a second driver.
Alex tries to keep his head about him, focusing on the Logan he got to experience over the break, the Logan a select few know. He's loud and sweet, sarcastic and annoying—every bit of a younger brother that was never denied love, and Alex had him for those months.
The Williams don't start off well, Logan gets P20 in the opening race and scrapes by with a P15 in the Saudi.
It goes to shit in Australia.
Alex crashes and Logan's without a car, watching from the garage with a hole in his chest as Alex fights like hell but ultimately gets nothing; a sinking reminder that it was all for naught. Logan tries not to blame him, tries to keep the resentment to himself and it works until the resentment turns away from Alex and instead onto his team.
Alex lingers, never fully away, entitled to Logan in ways no one else could be. He's a shadow, a hand on his elbow or back, trying to memorize the give of his body, the way Logan curls up next to him when they're in bed or his steady presence in the garage.
Logan continues to struggle, barely finishing races in the scrap car they gave him. The media gets harsher and harsher, digging under Logan's skin until Alex has to hide his phone away. He gets thinner, gaunt in a way Alex hasn't seen him since Qatar.
Alex tries to keep him, tries to figure out ways to keep Logan beside him in the paddock, his name on the garage beside Alex's—23 and then 2, one beside the other like it has been for the last year and a half.
Miami had been brutal and every race after that forgettable; Silverstone loved Logan enough for him to scrap to P11, nine seconds off of Yuki.
Something like acceptance sinks into Logan before summer break, the few weeks the two spent sequestered away on an island. Its days of laying in the sun, eating to their heart's content and losing themselves within each others body, trying to engrave every inch to memory.
Logan's end comes in Zandvoort, under Dutch rain and on the side of the track. Logan's heart breaks with it, the car smoking and filling his lungs with a dead dream done and dusted.
Alex knows what it means when Logan disappears off the face of the Earth, knows that it could be days or months before he gets a response to the birage of the messages he had sent. In a way, Alex knows that the end of them had happened in those seconds when Logan slammed into the barriers.
Even now, with the humid Miami heat on him two years after Logan crashed, he can still feel the weight of him. He mourns what they were, mourns what they could've been and dreams of what they were.
Sometimes he wakes up in the middle of the night and the scent of Logan's cologne haunts him, the scent no longer existing physically but only in the way a phantom limb exists.
Alex existed long before he met Logan, he can find a way to exist without him again.
u can make this a separate short story or a bonus chapter but I need logan being scared off gritty or being chased by gritty
Orange Monstrosity
logan and his fear of the Philadelphia Flyers Mascot, Gritty
Logan hates Philadelphia, not only because the Flyers are annoying to play against, but Gritty—the stupid mascot—has something against him. He tries to remember what he did to the horrifying creature except he comes up blank every time.
“Dude, chill.” Kyle says, sipping his overpriced coffee and smiling everytime Logan looks over his shoulder. Logan turns to glare at him, gripping the strap of his bag tighter as they walk down the halls of the visitor’s side of Xfinity Mobile Arena. Despite the handful of times he’s played here, he’s never been able to adjust to the feeling of being watched.
“Why couldn’t we play the Canadiens,” Logan whines, almost pushing Kyle into the wall when he sees a flash of orange and black, “At least Youppi is cute.”
“Because we played them last week Lo, now can you please hurry up, these halls get creepier and creepier each time we come.” Kyle grumbles, wrapping a hand around Logan’s upper arm and pulling him along.
Even as they make their way to the locker room, their teammates chatter surrounding them, Logan can’t shake the feeling of being watched.
:::
Logan got too comfortable.
The Panthers had pulled through to level the score after almost three periods of back-to-back goals but an absolute beauty of a face off win from Kyle and a top-bar shot from Liam, the Panthers and Flyers were heading to overtime.
With what was basically their PP unit out there, Logan leans forward, trying to get air into his lungs when he feels it—the beady stare of a specific mascot. He looks up and there he is, across the rink and in between the fans, staring.
“What’d you do to Gritty?” Calum asks, his eyes on the play, body tense as he waits for when Kyle will come careening over the wall. Despite being their captain and their leader on power-play goals, their usual game winning scorer is actually Calum.
“Exist.” Is all Logan gets to respond with before the two of them leap over the wall, the puck landing nicely on Logan’s stick. He shoots it to Calum as they all get on-side and it’s the greatest dangle of Calum’s life as the puck is nestled into the back of the net.
4-5, Panthers win.
:::
Logan doesn’t know how it happens, but he gets fucking lost. He’s walked down these halls for years when they play in fucking Philadelphia and he’s lost. He almost can’t believe his bad luck when of course, it gets worse.
He hears the squeaking first and he books it, momentarily grateful that he decided not to wear a suit as the sound of footsteps gets closer.
I hate Philadelphia, I hate Philadelphia, I hate Philadelphia, he thinks as he swings around a corner, somehow ending up in the visitors locker room. He was literally just here, but it’s completely empty now and he turns around, coming face to face with Gritty himself.
“C’mon man.” Logan says, “I just wanna go home.”
Gritty tilts his head, his eyes jiggling and he cringes, his body twitching slightly when Gritty steps forward. Due to the size of the mascot, he takes up the doorway aka, the only exit Logan has.
And listen, Logan is man enough to say that while he didn’t screech, he did scream when Gritty jerks towards him, quick footsteps forward until he’s stood in front of Logan.
This is so fucked, he thinks before staring at Gritty’s orange eyes and fucking shoving him. The sound of squeaking is the only thing he hears as he finally makes it to where they were all supposed to meet up.
Kyle makes a face at him, “Dude, what the fuck? Where’d you go?”
“Doesn’t even fucking matter man, I fucking hate Philadelphia.” Logan mutters, feeling jittery as he onto the bus, Kyle close behind. Even when the bus pulls away and towards the hotel, Logan feels watched and just knows that Gritty will have it out for him again when they come back in a few months.
I don’t wish Seattle on Logan but I def could see aeiou trading him there
i think i had it that logan knew that he was getting traded after the panthers were knocked out of a playoff round and they were already having issues even though logan was their star player and had dragged them out of a multi-year slump and seattle traded him for, you guessed it, franco
unfortunately a huge fan of their color scheme and their black jerseys (dk if it’s their away jersey or not) but it was be hilarious if did just drop him there
okay but like besides the panthers, what other team would logan be on? for one draft i have him with the kraken due to some punishment-type of trade by yours truly AEIOU (there’s like a lowkey brad marchand type of deal aka logan “darling of the cats” sargeant gets traded away because vowels hates his ass and logan is forced to leave the team he’s been rooting for his whole life and has to leave his best friend kyle and move to rainy seattle) and i think i played around with the idea of him in boston but the whole blonde-green eyed-repping the number 2-with-a-superstar-generational-talent-best-friend was kind of too on the nose for willmack
i cannot see him on the preds or sens and maybe i can settle with him in boston and in one draft i also have him on the kings which i can also see happening but thats like what, 4/32 teams and perhaps i can do the sharks because logan always looks good in blue centered teams and im sharks down and he fits the whimsy of the sharks i suppose idk
at first lando isn’t sure what he’s looking at when he finds oscar’s keys. he had been in lando’s drivers room in the hospitality to kill time before they had to head to their respective media slots.
when lando had been done with his, oscar had texted him asking if he had left his keys in his room. lando hadn’t responded and instead just looked around the small room. he had seen oscar’s keys before, a simple keychain with a light blue carabiner and a few knickknacks and the strap a light blue color.
now, as he holds the keychain in his hand he realizes one of the charms is an eagle, an american bald eagle at that. more out of curiosity, he looks at the other charms, there’s a smaller tag with sunshine engraved on one side and the unmistakable florida sea line on the other side. the most incriminating part was the small 2 nestled in between oscar’s car keys and the eagle charm.
with a grin, lando takes a picture of keychain, a giggle already escaping him as he sends the picture to oscar, pocketing the keychain.
does logan have a matching one?
oscar’s heart nearly drops out of his chest when he gets the message, his keychain staring back at him along with lando’s teasing grin. he knew he should have left this set at home, but fuck, the distance was getting to him so excuse him if he wanted a piece of his boyfriend with him.
lando bounds towards him a few minutes later, the key change jingling in his hand. oscar is quick to snatch the keys from his hand, moving his backpack to his front and clipping the keys into the inner lining of his backpack.
“so,” lando asks, sticking his face close to oscar’s, his eyes glinting almost mischievously, “does logie have a similar one?”
oscar shoves him away, palm pressed against lando’s face. the older sputters, jerking away and giving oscar enough time to walk away towards the exit. lando’s laughter trails after him as he pushes against the turnstiles.

if there’s one thing logan knows, is that kyle never hesitates to tease him about things. it’s kind of a given due to how close they are and the fact that for the first time in years, they’ll be at the same tracks as competitors.
so really, it’s his fault that he didn’t realize his key chain was missing until it’s dangling from kyle’s finger.
“this is the most oscar piastri coded keychain i have seen in my life.” kyle states as he thumbs through the few charm on the keychain. the carabiner is a light orange, the wristband black with 81 threaded into it. the charms, a koala, a kangaroo and a tag with melbourne’s skyline embroidered on to it, there was no denying that it was an oscar piastri keychain.
“where the hell did you even get them?” logan asks, reaching out and snatching them from kyle’s hands. his friend giggles almost hysterically as logan slips the keychain into his sweater pockets, the blush high on his cheeks.
“you left them on the table by the entrance of your hotel room.” kyle says, leaning further into his seat, crossing his hands behind his head, “so, does oscar have a similar one?”
logan runs his hands over the embroidered tag, the edges a little thin a frayed. it was one of the first things he had bought when he started buying things for the keychain.
logan shrugs, “probably.”
;;;
the idea had come to logan first, when he’s sprawled out in his parents garage during the first break in their first f1 season. the break was long enough that he could spend a day or two at home before heading to the next race.
“here, since you’re always misplacing your keys.” his dad mumbles, handing him a pack of carabiners. logan grumbles as he tosses the pack from hand to hand, the metal clinking against each other before he finally opens it.
interlocked are two carabiners, a blue and orange one and he can’t help the snort as he take out his phone. he takes a picture of it, sending it off to oscar with us as the accompanying message.
despite the time difference, oscar reacts to it with a heart and logan can’t help the goofy smile on his face. the conversation doesn’t progress from there as logan’s dad tells him to get off his ass and help him move some things around.
the charms accumulate slowly, a gift from one to the other other, a reminded me of you said with a shrug of their shoulders and blush high on their cheeks. some of the charms are custom, the koala with an mclaren shirt, the number 2 charm with op inscribed so small it almost isn’t there.
when logan disappeared after he was dropped—not to oscar, never to him—oscar started carrying the keychain around more often, the hefty weight of it soothing the curling anxiety.
he knows logan carries his around too, he hasn’t seen it, but he knows that it’s nestled somewhere in his backpack, under a sweater or in between the random things he carries around.
oscar’s hand tightens around the keychain, his fingers thumbing over the worn metal of the charms and lets himself miss logan a bit more longer.
It will always be staples center to me lol, I went to the leafs/kings game at the start of April and was seated in the 300s but the view was really good!! It was sooo fun
lmao i think that might’ve been the game i was rooting for the leafs because of the whole wild card thing and the staples center/crypto arena confused me for a while because some people refused to call the staples center as anything but so i though they were different arenas
The kings don’t even get a top 16 pick for their troubles 💔 I’m also weirdly endeared by mcdavid but I fear my loyalty runs deeper than that
i really did enjoy the games the sharks played against the kings!! i’m still pretty new to hockey and was generally nervous when they would play against them because of how good they were but you’ll never catch me rooting for the ducks 🙅🏽♀️ as a socal californian i have a heavy unexplainable dislike for anaheim
i do believe if i hadn’t found the sharks when i did, i would have ended up as a kings fan…it would make watching games so much more convenient
