♣. ‘sorry’

day number? mark had lost count of the days since the festival began. not that it was long, he was just not good at keeping track of anything. the festival had been going relatively smoothly for him, it was quite nice. but only relatively- as in there were a few small bumps, but for the time being mark decided to ignore those memories.
strolling through the sidewalk littered with petals and leaves made him feel at ease. the flowing crowd of visitors felt almost fluid, like running water down a creek. mark felt swept around by the crowd at just the right speed, not too quick, and not too slow. the bright sunlight against the cool breeze was addicting. mark had never wanted to stay somewhere for such a long time. he could smell the faint scent of flowery bulbs and the snacks that were being cooked in the distance, saw the different shades of pink and green as he passed a few cherry blossoms, felt his fingers slip into an unknown man’s pockets unmeaningly.
god damn it.
shocked at his own actions, mark stopped and stared at the unfamiliar car keys in his hand. what was he thinking?- he probably wasn’t. it was almost impulsively that his hand reached out and so easily plucked the keys out of their owner’s pocket. he silently scolded himself, running back to the man that he presumed owned the car. he could tell who it was from the crowd with a glance. the car was expensive. a high-quality brand. and there was only one man who seemed to dress like he was rich. how annoying.
approaching the man from behind, mark tapped his shoulder. “hey, i think you dropped this,” he said, before trying to hide his sudden surprise. even from his profile it was easy to identify the man as kwon wooju. mark distinctly remembered him from highschool. (and their recent encounter at the bookstore) but mark stood by his words. because wooju really was so annoying.
