I am simultaneously writing two chapters for the Dark Moon. One includes a sex scene and the other a massive fist fight (among other things). I love writing but am I the only writer that finds writing either love scenes or fight scenes or both a little bit frustrating?
Also, fellow writers, advice on writing such scenes?
Some advice for both, be conscious of the pacing, and donât rush. Â Your pacing has been fantastic so far, so keep what youâre doing, youâre doing it well. For the fight scene, is it a firefight or hand to hand? Hand to hand combat can be tricky. Â Iâd keep an eye on your hand placement (wait - that applies to love scenes as well) and your location. Â Other than that, each scene is either about building or easing tension. Â Youâve done a fantastic job building sexual tension, I know whatever you do it will be amazing.Â
I find fight scenes the most difficult myself, mainly getting the balance between action, internal monologue and setting. Â
In summary, youâre amazing and Iâm looking forward to the next chapters. Â :)
How many altos does it take to screw in a lightbulb? None, they canât get that high.
How many sopranos does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
One, she holds it up and waits for the world to revolve around her.
How many singers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
Two. An alto to actually do it and a soprano to stand by and ask âisnât that a little high for you?â
u wanna fucking go
here for this fight
How do you know a soprano is at your door?
She canât find the key and doesnât know where to come in

As a contralto, I approve this message. Â
Saw this on Facebook and had to share. Â
Today has been...exhausting.
Exhausting mentally and physically.Â
On my way back from getting some paperwork I had lost (which I had to sit and wait an hour for), my car started acting weird. So, two ships and five hours later, we figured out the issue and how it would be fixed. Now I just wonât get it back till Monday.Â
On the way to the second car shop, I got a call about my interview yesterday. Only to be told they went with someone else.Â
And currently, I am having a conversation with my cousin, who I havenât spoken to since I have her and her husband my two weeks notice. Itâs nice to speak with her, but itâs bringing up a lot of stuff I just kinda wish would go away. Plus it doesnât help that it almost feels like sheâs trying to guilt me into something, even though she says she doesnât want me to feel guilty.Â
I am also dealing with my puppy (whom I love to pieces), but wonât leave me alone to write. Oh, and I get to plan a meeting on Tuesday for the women in my church.Â
 So Iâm justâŚexhausted.Â
Anyways, I didnât post this to rant. I just wanted to say thank you to Megan ( @soaringeag1e ) for helping me today, for just listening and being there when I needed to talk.Â
And I wanted to thank you all. Itâs silly, but seeing all the notifications I get, seeing all of you like and reblog my stories makes me so happy. I canât really express the feeling it gives me. It may seem small, I know, but it really makes my day. Every little like, every little reblog, every little comment, makes me smile more than you know. So thank you all.
Iâm sorry u had a roller coaster day.. Iâll keep u in my prayers. God is always in control even when we donât realize it.. And it seems everything is going 100000 mph xoxoxo
Thank you. And I have to agree, sometimes it seems like itâs a mess, but I have to hope thereâs a bigger plan for me. :)
You got this! God is on your side. Heâs going to make this all work for your better.

Outdoor cafes were nothing new to the great city of New York. Bucky just hadnât really spent much time at them growing up. He was more likely to grab a slice of pizza somewhere and run off than sit somewhere drinking a cup of coffee for two hours. The first time he had come here it was because he couldnât stand to be around the Avengers anymore. He was still getting used to the world at that point and just needed a break from all their drama.
Heâd just started walked and ended up at the tiny cafe and took a seat. The waitress had come over to him with a pot of hot coffee and a smile that took his breath away. Heâd been coming daily ever since then just to see her.

BB-8âs name was chosen by Episode VII director J.J. Abrams because of the droidâs round and bouncy look. Abrams is also quoted with saying, âI named him BB-8 because it was almost onomatopoeia. It was sort of how he looked to me, with the 8, obviously, and then the two Bâs.â The name was conceived early on in Episode VIIâs production and was one of the few to never be changed. (x)
Damn it BB8, I didn't want to like you.

i refuse to call me period anything other than moonsickness now
We are in fact werewolves
Fun fact: Native Americans used to call it âmoontimeâ. (And Iâve been calling it that ever since I learned the phrase, because it sounds so much better.)
Tribes had âMoon Lodgesâ and a woman would go into and stay in the lodge until her moon time has passed. During her time in the moon lodge, the elder women would teach her medicine, herbs, ceremonies, rites, prayers and on. Teachings were handed down to her.
The women, at this time, were expected to rest and not perform any chores and she was taken care of by the elder women of the tribe. No cooking, cleaning or lifting. This was a time for the woman to learn and nurture herself and to also embrace her womanhood.
A womanâs moon time was never looked down upon; there was no negativity put on it. The men respected and revered her. The men also cooked and took care of the children at this time, which was a wonderful time of bonding between a father and their children. It was a time of love and respect.

Reblogging for the history lesson! Damn!

Native Americans had their shit together on so many levels. Itâs a crying shame the Tribesâ respective cultures were all but destroyed.
Can we stop referring to native cultures like one massive monolithic culture, and can we please not refer to them in the past tense? Itâs really not okay.
I am part Cherokee and I was NOT referring to Native Americans in the past tense. If youâll look at my wording, first of all, the word ârespectiveâ is pointing out the many tribesâ individual cultures. Secondly, I say âhadâ in reference to the way things were before genocidal fucktards like Andrew Jackson invaded the land. Any past tense terminology is referring to the fact that Europeans effectively and methodically destroyed all but a very small portion of the Native American peoples, cultures and practices.
est. Native American population pre-Columbus:Â 112 million est Native American population in 1900: 250,000 (I think thatâs being generous)
Get over your hyper-sensitive, overly âPCâ attitude and open a dialogue before you start judging and accusing. THAT is narrow-mindedness, my friend.
Wow youâre an asshole. A large portion of my comment was directed at the person who posted the first comment referencing âmoontime,â so I wasnât only addressing your comment but those of the whole thread. And every white person in America is supposedly âpart Cherokee,â but none of us have any actual fucking knowledge of the culture, which is because we are white and werenât raised in the Cherokee culture and should probably decenter our feelings in discussions of native culture because we donât know jack shit.
*reblogging for above amended comment*
I mostly agree with the above comment (including the fact that Iâm an asshole lol) I think itâs a shame that American society, in general, knows little to nothing of Native American tribes and cultures. I was educated by my great aunt as a child, who was Cherokee and born in the 1880â˛s. She was the BEST! But thatâs just the Cherokee nation. I know very little of other Native Tribes and their cultures. Wish I did!
I encourage each and every one of you, especially Americans, to do your best to educate yourself on this topic.
Moon Cheese for Moontime?
