Body bounced into the store, a grin on features as blue eyes glanced throughout the dead workplace, dodging past running kids as they left the store, he bounded towards the counter. The place had become a routine of his to stop at during the day and night when he was able to, and tonight was no different. Leaning against glass counter Aiden felt his features break into a grin, white teeth showing as one of the tadpoles came into sight. 

While grin and bright eyes were being shown, a slight pang of worry and sympathy ached within his chest. It wasn’t fair that the Tadpoles had to work when they could be out goofing off or being kids. “Hey Alan, busy night?” he questioned keeping the grin on his face. 

❛  what’s cracking, aid?  ❜  it’s nice to see a familiar face walk into frog’s comics after getting off the phone with what he'd every reason to presume, was a lunatic. at first, the guy was just pleasant and normal, asked about x-men books they had in stock, the store’s location and relevant information like that. he started talking about when he’d stop by but then started going on tangents about random stuff- alan’s a combination of too interested in deep conversation and too awkward to end a call when it started to get weird which is...part of the reason why he usually prefers his younger brother to take calls and he’ll stand by and listen on the conversation, ready to butt into it and withdraw from it when necessary. since the store was literally a ghost town, the guy had managed to keep the older frog hostage with conversation for about a solid thirty minutes before he finally had a- scratch that, five good enough excuses to hang up. 

he watched the group of kids shop, their eyes quadrupling in size as they were scoping the avengers’ catalogue-  all while trying to forget about the very daunting and scary experience he had to go through. by the time aiden had arrived, the thought was still plaguing his mind but not so much as it was after he’d hung up.  ❛  not exactly.  ❜  he replied behind the subtle, little workings of a smile.  ❛  gave me some time to knock off and catch up on some reading, so it’s alright. what brings you in tonight?  ❜

Chestnut  hues  find  his  face.  Jer  can’t  help  her  eyes  opening  widely  and  lips  paring  slightly  at  the  statement.  She  didn’t  know  that.  She  looks  from  Alan  to  the  plate  and  back  at  him  again,  so  lost  and  confused  as  to  what  to  do  next.  But  she  shakes  her  head  and  takes  the  plate  back  while  murmuring  under  her  nose,  though  loud;y  enough  for  him  to  hear  it. ❛  No,  no,  no.  I  will  figure  something  out.  ❜  She  can’t  have  him  starving.  Vegan  and  lactose  intolerant,  she  thinks  as  she  reaches  the  kitchen.  There’s  not  much  she  knows  about  veganism,  and  what’s  allowed  and  what’s  not,  but  she  remembers  that  she  has  some  vegetables  in  her  fridge.  She  can  at  least  make  him  a  salad,  right? ❛  I’m  sorry,  Alan.  I  didn’t  know.  Edgar  never  mentioned  it.  ❜  She  gulps  slightly,  starting  to  prepare  the  salad.  Now  she  needs  to  remember  to  buy  vegan  stuff,  too.

a.lan parker f/rog was born january 6th, 1973 to teen parents, krishna and clarissa fr.og who were only 17 and 15 respectively at the time.

he has a deeper love and appreciation for music than his younger brother, e.dgar. 

his favorite genre is heavy metal and his favorite band is metallica.

a.lan, very much like his parents is vegan. 

he really loves bread but stopped eating it at age 10. he might eat it on rare occasions when he’s craving it but not as often and will only eat a little bit.

al doesn’t hate sweets but avoids them like the plague. 

he’s never had the chicken pox and he’s lactose intolerant.

he has random anger outbursts and has them often.

al.an is actually really good in school. gets a’s and b’s and his favorite subject is math and science. his least favorite is history. 

a/lan intimidates the hell out of his peers, so no one really ever fucks with him. 

has a low tolerance for bullshit and is a selective mute. 

his favorite tv show is duck tales 

 he dove pretty hard into playing bass. 2-3 hours a day for almost a year on top of rehearsals twice a week when he was thirteen. 

al covered judas priest and metallica songs, of course. learned to play a few johnny cash songs for his bro.

after he started working at his parent’s comic book store at fourteen, he ditched his dad’s old bass for good and hasn’t touched it since. 

watchmen and superman comics are his favorites, well...the descent written ones anyway. 

he only got into comics after he started working at their parents’, music was his forte.

has trust issues up the wazoo but you already know that.

loves horror movies, his brother prefers westerns and they fight about which movie to watch constantly. 

his weapon of choice when it comes to slaying vampires is the sword, he’s especially good wielding it when he is older.
