One of my favorite books as a kid. This girl loved Lima beans but pretended not to so she would fit in. And because she stopped eating then she broke out in stripes and later on she grew roots and tentacles and turned into her room. It was crazy.

It’s seriously the deepest shit ever, though. She conformed to fit society by disliking Lima beans and then throughout the book she just kept changing and changing to whatever people said. Finally in the end, she accepted she like Lima beans and became her own person again. I fucking love this book, man.

Prince of Egypt does take a lot of artistic liberties (Joseph: King of Dreams is MUCH more accurate to it’s Biblical narrative) but it does stay true to the spirit of the story and for that, I greatly respect it.
