My favourite modern au headcannon is that Mary would love Mitski so much but only in secret. She knows she’s supposed to be funny and loud and enjoy party music but at night she cries herself to sleep listening to liquid smooth

(Lily hears her once and joins her. They don’t talk about it but it becomes something that happens almost every night. They never speak, just lie in bed together silently crying to the songs)
